I drive past the studio in Leeds a lot going to my office.
Someone painted dusty bin on the green gpo box on Kirkstall Road outside the place.
Happy memories for me. Loved the show in tbe early 80s ❤
I was in my teens when it came out in am in my fifties and still enjoying the repeat.
Blimey, i never realised Cheryl baker had a solo career, must have bombed as it never went mainstream.
9:08 Early television appearance of Chris Morris 😂 This would have been the part when my mum would have said to us kids "What a load of rubbish."
I loved the show x
Wow seeing that TWA 747 brings back memories for me when I went LA a year later in 1988
They should bring this show back
Yes ,and they should get gary glitter and rolf Harris to host it
Mark Heron
No. They shouldn't.
Gary Glitter and Rolf Harris with someone impersonating Jimmy Savile as Dusty Bin? ...i guess that's a stupidest joke i've ever heard.
Jimmy Saville as Dusty Springfield
As much as I love the "Liquid Gold" Yorkshire Television ident, the titles for 3-2-1 lost a bit of charm in their final CGI rendition. At least Ted, Dusty, Linda and The Bensonator kept their dignity :)
This was the only series of 3-2-1 which did not use an alternative Yorkshire Television jingle.
You can see the budget was lower for this final season.
Good to see Dusty come on and do a Catchphrase's Mr.Chips hand movement.
I like how David Bowie pretended to be called 'Pam' so he could go on the show with Christopher Eccleston
Underrated comment
You'd starve if you did stand up.
Not sure about Eccleston, but you got Bowie spot on.
It was all change for the 1987 series of 3-2-1
They shouldn't have altered the format for the final series it is the classic case of 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' the quiz should have not been changed & the weekly themes should also had remained.
15:07 - my favorite act of 1987
@Greg Palmer
Oh yes - The Alan Harding Dancers. A class and sadly all but forgotten act.
Awesome 👍👍
The only legitimate question I can think to ask is this...how many times has Dusty Bin avoided being sussed out and wound up being the prize the winning pair took home?
See why Roy Walkers stand up never took off
wish i understood the japanese car joke. Must be a reference to TV at the time.
@@kudosbudo The joke is about the Esso petrol points you used to collect when you filled up. You'd save them up and trade them in for a set of cups or glasses. So the joke about the car is that it's so fuel efficient it would take you ages to get a set of glasses.
They could've put some hubcaps on that car!
What a smashing car.
@MArtin Doyle
French rubbish is that car.
The clues never made sense..it was all guess work

4:45 Ted said The Maximum they could win in this quiz this time was £1,650
But I've calculated that if someone got £110 at the end of ROUND 1
And got All 15 Questions Correct In ROUND Earning £110 Per Question
They can actually Win A MAXIMUM OF £1,760
ROUND 1:- £110 + (15 x £110 = £1,650) = £1,760
What happened to Deanna James? Can’t find anything about her.
Yes she is from Bolton that’s all I know , she didn’t have success I’m guessing
And roy walker from catchphrase
What ever happened to Deanna James?
teds wig
29th August 1987
Did anyone think wtf when the first bloke Ian started talking ?
They should never of changed it should of kept it as in was in the early 80 s x
This was from 1987… hardly early 80s!!
It did look tired and very dated towards the end but in its hey day it was saturday night tv.
Ted or Cheryl didn’t even mention Bucks Fizz by name! Just a very famous pop group, then the group! New Beginning was their last big hit in 1986 then they took a break in 1987 but their popularity was waning by then. Cheryl released a cover of If paradise is half as nice in ‘87, but it flopped. She was becoming more known as a presenter by this time, probably why she was chosen to big up the consolation prize and read out the Drifters question.
Beats the shit on today. Mind you, I wouldn't know as I haven't watched live telly for fourteen years... !
I NEVER BEEN TO HAWAII ETHER

Got to be the most ridiculous show ever. The 'clues' were so obscure and illogical that I'm amazed that anyone ever achieved anything.
Who is the announcer
John Benson is the announcer, he also was the announcer on Sale Of The Century & Gambit.
I think he was also the announcer on the first series of Strike it Lucky.
It's a banger 😂but 😮😅
That's a car 😢
7:40
Well you know Ted Rogers? He's not!!?? He's not getting married to Ted Rogers??!!
9:26
😂 I use to love this in the 80s. How on earth I know not. It is truly terrible......

Cant believe I used to watch this crap.
😂 I was just thinking the same thing. Even worse.... I use to love it.
ITS BRIAN CONOLY its a puppet
Roy Walker looks as if he's suffering from clinical depression between the jokes with flashback types of pauses.
Roy Walker?
Or Ted Rogers, as per this clip?
@@RussTube59 Er, Roy Walker - as I said - here: 33:53
😅😅😅
The most longwinded game show ever made, it’s dreadful! The clues for the prizes were so convoluted it’s a wonder anyone ever won a thing!! Im sure I remember someone once winning a dog, a St Bernard!! I wonder if that’s even legal 😳. Utter tripe!
😂
Saturday night was made for going to the pub, what utter rubbish that was
Man , cabaret entertainment back then was grim
