How to Crochet Easy Baby Shower Crochet or Lovey Size
Вставка
- Опубліковано 31 лип 2024
- The Crochet Baby Shower Blanket is a nice easy repeat once you get moving along with it. With a bit of texture, it has enough detail to keep you engaged with the project.
This blanket looks great in solid colours so you don't need to mess around with colours but you can opt to change the colours in different rounds to make certain elements pop off the blanket.
The blanket is 38" x 38" square. The lovey size is 24" x 24". It has some easy popcorn stitches combined with faux popcorn and v-stitches to tempt your texture desires.
Lovey Size: For parents on the go, sometimes a child cannot part with their blanket but an option is to make a Lovey Size. It's a miniature sample. My brother as a young boy couldn't part with his blanket without a lot of fuss and it was always a chore to drag it with us. The lovey can be made with the same yarn so it gives the illusion that it's the same blanket.
This blanket is pretty fast to crochet and there is a specific note in the pattern to watch for. Keep an eye on Rnds 10 and 11.

Sounds like your family will be growing. Enjoy this new design and i hope you enjoy the stitching journey.
So easy to follow, your videos are excellent, no fuss. No distractions just simply great.
Thank you kindly.
Just wanted to say how much I appreciated your video. I'm self taught so I've never tried following a pattern or even know what the stitches are called, I just did what I thought looked pretty. Your video was so easy to follow & you included every detail. Thank you so much😻 I made my new niece the blanket & adapted some stitches to make a queen sized comforter as well because it's so much fun. Xoxo
I just finished this blanket. It's such a beautiful pattern. I hope my friend love it. Thank you for sharing your talents and patterns.
My pleasure.
Beautiful work….thank you for sharing your talents!
I’m always looking for new designs that I can do and I love to crochet, this is beautiful thank you for taking the time to show us how to create this blanket. Thank you 🙏
So happy I love this pattern ..instructions are great like always.. thank you
You’re welcome 😊
I was crunched for time as my yarn supply wasn't available until 5 days before Christmas and was desperate for an easy tutorial to follow. This video was a godsend. The passion Mikey has for the art of crochet is passed on to the viewer. I have since subscribed to the channel and am so excited to see the variety of content available. I chose to make this project in a "couch throw" size by the way, and they loved it!
Really looking forward to doing this - never done a square in the round (so to speak) hope it turns out as lovely as yours!
Perfect timing. My best friend's daughter is having a baby in March and I was looking for a new pattern to make her a baby blanket. I think I'll do both the blanket and the lovie. Thank you so much for your help. 🙂
This is beautiful! It can made into a bedsheet too by stitching a few pieces together like 8 by 12 pieces. Thank your for this wonderful design. Love this so much. 🥰🥰🥰
That's true. Have a great day.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Have a great day to you too!🥰
I just finished the smaller pattern and it came out really pretty. I used the Mandala yarn and it took 1 skein and a little more. I did stop at the repeat to row 16 wo adding the cluster row bc I have enough leftover yarn to make rows 1-16. I hope my grandson in the oven likes it as much as me. Thank you for sharing the pattern. What I live about granny or square patterns is no need for an added edge. It’s there. My favorite way to crochet blankets
Done!! Absolutely beautiful. So easy and fun with your assistance. Ty.
You are so welcome!
Thankyou for taking the time to share this lovely blanket. Its absolutely beautiful.
You’re welcome 😊
I love your work and your talent ! You are the greatest teacher ,I follow your paterns for many years! All the blankets I've had made are from your patterns ! Here in Greece we call someone talented as you goldfinger !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much Mikey for this beautiful pattern. It is giving me so much pleasure to be making this for my first Great Grandchild.

Just want to say thank you so much for this pattern and video instruction. I am a new crocheter with three nieces and nephews this year. I am making one for each! Thanks again!

I am loving this pattern. It's my favorite. 🎉 wish I could upload photo of my colors looks like roses.
Love this pattern, as grandma to be, want to get prepared when time and baby came, thank you very much
You’re welcome 😊
This was timely, I was just going to crochet an infinity granny for a baby coming in February, but look what Mikey has….wow! I sure appreciate this beautiful pattern, thank you so much!
Wonderful! Best wishes on the new baby due in February.
I have been crocheting 2 months. I learned a lot from making this blanket. It is absolutely stunning. Thank you for the free beautiful pattern with stitch counts and video. Thank you.
Hi Mikey I just finished this one and I really like the way you instruct 💕
I made one for my grandnephew and now I’m working on one for a grandniece!! Thank you for the tutorial!
This is simply beautiful. I have some baby blanket pattern but was looking for something different yet lovely for my newest niece, now I can do this n the lovie.
Thanks for clear instructions plus a written pattern.
You’re welcome 😊
Great tutorial, easy to follow and blanket looks beautiful, thanks! I used the picot stitch for the edge- works well with the design. (stitch onto the back side of blanket)
This is such an elegant looking blanket. It's going on my to do list. Thank you.
You’re welcome 😊
I loved this pattern. My daughter requested not so traditional baby colors for her baby blanket so I used the O’Go yarn in Forest. At first I was iffy but it turned out beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial.
I never croched but I used to knit years ago. I decided to learn to crochet and you make it look so easy. Your explanations and demos are very clear and explicit. Thank you.
I try, but won't always succeed. I'm glad you are finding value in my work.
I’ve started this project already and have just come back to check I’m doing it right. I love this pattern. TFS 🥰
Great... Nice to have a place to double check.
@@TheCrochetCrowd it turned out so beautiful. Thankyou for such a beautiful pattern 🥰
This is a beautiful baby blanket . Thank you for sharing !
You’re welcome 😊
Such a lovely blanket! I may have to make a few of these and choose the one I want to keep. Loving vintagey heirloomish items lately
Absolutely lovely! Thank you so much for sharing!
My pleasure
Thank you for sharing this beautiful baby blanket 🥰
Thanks.
I have made this blanket so many times now! I just love it and it truly is my favorite baby shower blanket! Thank you!
This is awesome! I'm wanting to make a mommy + me matching set with a baby blanket and an afghan for mom I love that I can repeat the pattern to make them a similar design
Love this pattern. Thanks for sharing both the video and the written pattern. I had left over yarn from another baby blanket so this is like a scrap baby blanket.
Perfect timing. My nephew just had a baby girl and I'm going to make this for her. It's so beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
You are so welcome!
I make blankets for our local Maternitys NICU . They need very small blankets for premature babies. The lovey size is perfect for that . Great tutorial as always you never disapoint
What a lovely idea! Let me start my first lovely and I may contact my nearby maternity ward. Thank you for the generous idea😊
@@ruthhernandez2922 you are most welcome. I use a lot of blanket/ afghan tutorials for small ones just make them up to 15 ×15 inches and put a picot border on them . In the UK most baby units take them , some have guidelines to follow .
Lovely, & I love the color as well...🥰
Thank you Mikey...🤗
I'm so glad.
Very pretty blanket. Easy to follow 👌 the tutorial. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and knowledge. 😊
This is beautiful! On my short list!
Gorgeous! I usually design my own patterns but occasionally I find something I really must try, like this one. Thanks again Mikey. I am goin to make this my new weekend project as I have a request for a homemade baby shower gift. I may make a hat & pair booties to match. Have a great week
You are so welcome! Enjoy the stitching journey for your new gift idea.
I really like how you joined with a half double crochet.
Many thanks. I enjoyed watching your demonstration and this is definitely a future project for me.
Glad it was helpful!
You are awesome Mikey. You come up with such unique patterns thank you.
You're very welcome.
Ooh love it!! Gonna make a big one as a throw for my sofa. Chocolate brown or actually I might do it a golden tan cos my sofa is chocolate... Yes! Beautiful.
Awesome. Have a great day.
What a beautiful pattern!! I might go a little larger with mine, as a lapghan for my Dad, I have Lion Brand Pound of Love in Denim. 🥰
On to my third one if these blankets. Absolutely love how beautiful and intricate they look but are so easy to do! I always find the first set of singles to go in so fiddley and it throws my counts off but as it grows its easy enough to correct is awesome!
Can someone please help me? I am so frustrated on round six, it looks like they’re supposed to be nine little popcorn’s but no matter how many times I do it I only come up with eight on each side. I’m about to give up. Please help
@@LabMama3 if you get 8 then just go with it. The beauty of this blanket is that you can always add more stitches in on the next round when your doing the double crochet round. I've done 7 of these blankets now and every single one has been different. I always need to adapt slightly what I've done because I'm lazy at counting with it. Xx
