I’ve ordered the yarn to make 3 of these (each a different color pattern of the same yarn). The thing I love the most about Bonnie’s designs is the variety of stitches used. I tend to get bored easily with doing the same stitches endlessly. As a result, I often have too many projects on the hook at the same time. I also love that Bonnie has challenged me to learn and master some pretty difficult stitches. Thank you so much, Bonnie!

Thank you for a clear instruction, and provide hands on tutorial in this pattern. It was my first time to crochet an Irish weave, and was able to complete a small baby blanket for my neighbor who will be due in two weeks.

I’m now on my second Abigail blanket and it’s so much fun! When I first ordered the yarn, they were out of Diagon Alley, so I got two other pastels - enough for 4 blankets! I finished the first one and then saw another sale that had Diagon Alley. So I got 4 cakes. I’m half way through the first one. I’ll sure be prepared for any babies that come along!

Thank you Teressa! You are proving my theory correct: Crocheters are every bit as smart as knitters, and perhaps even smarter! I so tired of those overly simplistic crochet designs in publication for decades while the knitters get all the fun stuff. Welcome to my world!

I made up nine of these as giant granny squares to join with Continuous Join As You Go after the first round of solid DC after the Celtic Weave, with a solid crochet intermediary border, in Pumpkin Spice by Pound of Love with a 5.5 hook. I am coming back to it now to finish up with the eyelet edging, if the math works. I adore this pattern and am so thankful you posted such a detailed video.

Just finished mine in Ice Cream Yarn; 3 days & done! (Including a few blunders & silly frog-fests!) I’d suggest longer, more blended colour transitions than my yarn has, if you prefer full rounds not looking chopped up color-wise. It’s soft & very pretty. In my case, the eyelet round needed 4 ch to show nicely & 3 in the corners look really cute! It lays perfectly flat. TY Bonnie! It’s a lovely pattern & I finally conquered the Celtic! I’m thinking of doing one with solids on the textures & variegated on the DC’s; love playing with colour!

@@BonnieBayCrochet It's working up lovely. I have never done arrow stitch or celtic weave before. I struggled with the 2nd row of the celtic weave between the arthritis and the Raynaud's leaving the tips of my fingers slightly numb, but I managed (with plenty of muttering to myself that 'I couldn't do it!') eventually!!! I will persevere as it's looking so good. Thank you once again. :)

Wow I’m impressed what a gorgeous stitch. But You make it look so easy. Lol. It’s not easy to get this yarn to Australia …the postage can be dearer than the actual purchase of the yarn..a little disheartening….. you do the most beautiful work, so lovely …..thank you for sharing this …xx.

Thank you for your kind encouragement Denise! Definitely see what you can source locally. You all have some amazing yarn right there in Australia!

The Celtic weave seems a bit daunting when doing the back post treble crochets & making sure I skip the beginning chain 2 (that doesn’t count as a stitch) BUT, I’m gonna take it slow & pause/rewind the video as many times as needed😊🤞🏽. It’s a gorgeous pattern!!

I was needing to make it in the “cot size” rectangle… instead of doing a square of 8-8-8-8… will 10-6-10-6…work to make the rectangle?
What numbers either here and or at the
beginning will make the rectangle and not a square blanket?
Will all of the pattern’s still work?

That would require a redesign Sonia. Not sure at the moment what the numbers would be, but the two main motifs are multiples of 4.
