I got this banter and kinda surprised that they actually banter about the relationship too x'D I'm actually started a new save file and wanna trigger this banter again, I wonder how
Take just the two of them out to an area with no potential of random enemies spawning or other events, and read a book or something while you stand there and wait for them to talk. I chose the Shrine to Sylaise in the Exalted Plains; you just kill the two Freemen in it and stand in the corner. It's how I got the Bull/Dorian romance banter to trigger. Also yes I know this is two years late sksnsosnwoanqk
@@amberhernandez little question: does this only happen after the break up? Because I can't seem to trigger it. 10 "banter triggers" between them and still no dice.
I was BIG mad when he broke up with me, reminds me of when you make alistar king while mage romancing him, I never saw it coming and literally replayed as a noble rouge to be his queen 🤣 but solas is just a jerk, even the DLC doesn’t give you an endgame
As much as I like Sera, I believe they went abit too far with her, there were times when I just didn't wanna talk to her not because of what she will say but because how she will say, I just couldn't understand what she want and frankly didn't even want to try to understand. I know she is suppose to be the crazy one but you can be crazy and still talk fairly normal.
The most interesting thing is that if you try to hit on Sera while you are with Solas, Sera will say that she has a crush on our character, but that we need to finish things with the egg first. Maybe she said it out of jealousy because she was interested in the Inquisitor
All romanceable characters will tell you that. They say it's because they don't want complications with others. End things with them first, then we'll talk.
Definitely less options on the partner front. There are two straight male characters for all female inquisitors, 2 bi characters, and one gay character. And then you add Solas for elven female characters on top. Cassandra is the only straight female character, and Dorian is the only gay male character. So that's 4 characters you have to be a female to end up with, compared to two you need to be a male to end up with. That said, I don't think you need to romance Solas to get a gripping story out of the path. I honestly prefer the idea of friendship making him regret his choice rather than a romance.
@@AStrangeWindmill The romances break down as such by race: a total of 4 gentleman and two ladies for a female elf Inquisitor. 3 gentlemen and 2 ladies for a female human Inquisitor. 2 gentlemen and 2 ladies for a lady dwarf or Qunari Inquisitor.* 2 gentlemen and 2 ladies for a male Inquisitor.* *Cullen was intended to be a bi romance option and not racegated but the team ran out of time to make anything but the female elf and human animations to work. And this is also not counting Lace Harding as a true romance. Wish she was though! Overall, the female elf has the most options, then with the female human, and then everybody else in last place. The romances as a whole were kinda whack in Inquisition due to the racegating thing. It made 100% sense for Solas but I think it would've been more impactful to have him romance someone not elven and really challenged his world view.
@@AStrangeWindmill its not even just him. Iron bull is an amazing romance character. I like narrative so I like watching the characters have chemistry. the lines with josephine just feel forced and cassandra oddly only has chemistry with characters she dislikes. Not that it isnt funny as hell to watch the arguments between her and a romantically involved dalish rogue.
I’ll ask what everyone’s been asking: how do you trigger this banter? I notice it’s only 3 people in the party as opposed to 4, so is it a different quest? Or is it one of the DLCs?
Because of my English I'm unable to get everything they say. Could anyone help me? What does Sera mean by 'bumping bits' in this context? And by 'drop 'em'? I'm afraid of the answers tho xD
By "bumping bits" Sera means having sex (bits = genitals) and by "drop 'em," she means "take off your pants," which also means sex in this context. To have an elven child both parents have to be elves. What she's saying is elves always get involved with other elves so having sex is useful to their race (in that it produces more elves). By telling Solas to take off his pants and "rebuild the empire," she's telling him to have sex with the Inquisitor and have a bunch of elven children, therefore repopulating the diminished elven empire. Hope I explained that okay.
I know this comment is old but in case anyone comes across this and is wondering; For me it was before removing the Valaslin and fairly early into the relationship. It was either before rescuing his spirit friend or shortly thereafter. I only showed interest for him and kept interactions with other NPCs totally platonic. I’m not sure if that *makes* this interaction trigger but I only got it during the play through where I showed interest solely in Solas. Additionally keeping your party members limited to 3 (Inky and the 2 party members you want interacting) may expedite the process of triggering it
I took it as simply she's an elf who doesn't like being an elf, hell, even absolutely detests being an elf. Nothing more. She's apart from herself, denying her true nature and heritage.
Am I the only person who doesn't find this funny? I'm Jewish IRL and when I dated an opposite-sex Jewish partner, *everyone* "joked" that we were just together to make Jewish babies, which felt really degrading after a while. Sera's "the elf always takes an elf so bumping bits will *mean* something" and "drop 'em and rebuild the empire" comments aren't cute or funny to me.
If you get offended by what other people say its just means you lack self esteem, self worth and you look to outside sources for recognition and acceptance rather than valuing what you think about yourself. Which is why shit like pride month is so cringy to me, makes me feel like im being paraded around as a once a year circus act so companies and clebs can get woke points by pretending to give a fuck.
Yeah, Sera's comments here aren't funny. And I completely understand being annoyed with her here. I don't know if you guys have a similar phrase for it, but Sera has always felt like a "coon" to me. If you don't know what that means, it's a word black people use to refer to other black people who hate black people. Sera being rude towards everything having to do with elves, despite the fact that she is one, reminds me of that. Tldr: Sera's acts degrading with all elven stuff and it's annoying cause of both in game and real life experiences. :/
@@Byzantine_Orthodox_Christian Not necessarily, while I do agree with you to some extent there's a difference between jokes and honest to God insults. Thing is, I do believe you shouldn't let simple words shake you.
