I didn't know that I could use "would" only for a repeatable action. I never even thought about it. Thank you, Mike. I always learn something new.

When we were children, we used to help our mother a lot with cooking.
My mother often used to go abroad.
My mother would always make me scrambled eggs for breakfast.
We would always go to the nearby forest to gather mushrooms for our scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Esse vídeo simples foi um dos mais importantes que eu vi nesse canal até agora. Você não apenas me ensinou algo novo, você literalmente corrigiu algo que eu fazia errado esse tempo todo e achava que estava certo.
Eu compreendia o "WOULD" de forma errada esse tempo todo e nem me dava conta. Obrigada pela valiosa informação, professor Mike! ❤
Wow! Glad to hear that! How were you using "would" before?
@@TeacherMikeEnglish eu usava WOULD em frases condicionais no presente, quando deveria usar o "WILL" e isso fazia total sentido na minha cabeça!
Eu sabia que o "WOULD" tinha a finalidade de expressar um pedido educado ou era usado para descrever situações hipotéticas, mas não sabia que isso também poderia ser usado para indicar uma ação no passado. Para indicar ações no passado eu acreditava que se usava exclusivamente o "USED TO" e o WOULD era usado apenas para o presente e o futuro.
I can't wait taking your lessons
I find your video helpful and interesting. Thanks a lot, Mike.
I always learn something new with you.😀😀

Respected and respectable Sir, I would like to add tht "used to" can b used both in State and Action verbs whereas "Would" can be used only in Action verb.
Examples, there used to b a shop here years ago..state verb.
