We were bombed on almost a weekly basis during 2 WW. Back then there were used darkening curtains to prevent light from the houses to show, and make it harder for the bombers to know where to aim. My thought is that the sirens were invested in the 80's and 90's just around -and after the cold war, where Denmark feared a russian invasion. It's also just a basis requirement for a warning to get underground and inside, if something devestating will happen.
I think when it says something in Danish (advarsel, vigtig meddellelse) then there would probably be a war or maybe if the alarm plays again after the long one
