    WOW i just looked up google maps and to drive from utah to corpus christi is over 1500 miles !! our whole country of new zealand is only 1200 miles long so thats a huge commitment for you to drive all that way with all that gear just to get that consistent wind you talk about in this video. I have a huge respect for the effort you go to, to do the super training and i hope people dont take that for granted. looking forward to seeing you in texas as soon as us kiwis are allowed to travel.

      Ah thanks for making that comment. It seems few recognize just how critical the location is to attain skill levels by the end of 10 days like we do at SUPER training. No others have the class sizes to be able to afford to do things the right way like that so thanks for noting it as it really is absolutely critical and well worth the trip when you want actual results from real actual training. It will be great to meet you.

    Yep. Dude taught me / let me kite his kiting wing at the beach. Steady 12 mph wind off the ocean. Definitely got the bug!!

    Iv learned a lot from your videos! Thanks! I have been kiting inland for 6 months while saving up for training in the spring! I get out there every chance I get when the wind is right! It is usually turbulent and tricky but I keep at it and have learned a lot! Like how much I wish I lived near the coast for some solid winds! Iv also been going to a local sled hill for some practice taking off and landing!

      I would highly recommend people don't try to kite on their own. It's much much more dangerous than people realize and there are so many details to glider control that without SUPER training you just end up practicing things wrong and backwards and then have to try to go back and fix the bad habits which can be harder than just starting out correctly from the start. Especially trying to fly down a hill is a horribly bad idea as you just have no idea what all can and will go wrong and without the reflexes and correct skills to deal with it one oops could easily be your last. So I would strongly recommend just waiting until you can do SUPER training and learn it correctly right up front. Then once you have the skills and understanding you can practice all you like and it will be much more enjoyable and beneficial. One gust and you can go from level ground to 150 ft above the trees. You just have no idea the risks you are taking trying to play around with a paraglider before getting real actual SUPER training. I wish people could learn on their own. That would make it so much easier to sell gear. It's simply not the case though. It would be like trying to learn karate by watching Bruce Lee videos and going out and picking fights to the death with local gangs for practice. It just doesn't make sense. Call 800-707-2525 and just do it the right way. 99.9% of issues are because of very simple things that would have been easily preventable with SUPER training and proper gear.

    You are right Dell. You can’t kite 60 hours inland in 10 days.

    Good info but would be more effective if you showed some video footage of what your explaining, and narrate over it.

    Respect for inventing PPG training on the beach, but how do your students cope with too much wind, common at the seaside?

    • @DellSchanze
      @DellSchanze  4 роки тому

      You can see SUPER students kiting in up to 35 mph winds. Skill is skill. With real actual SUPER training you learn to deal with anything.

    50 to 70 y/o.how do they do at super training? Also is it legal to fly 2 people in a trike. And what are the training dates for Texas?

      Age totally depends on the person. Generally under 60 is no problem but when it gets 67 and above it totally depends on the person as many in that age bracket start to slow down a bit and have a harder time picking up the skills as quickly. You just never know though as each person is completely different. Just call 800-707-2525 and we are happy to answer all the questions you have. Yes it's legal to fly tandem with the right Flat Top & Trike. Gotta have the right gear and skills though. We do training all year long so just give us a shout for the specifics of the next class with openings.
