One of my friends nearly lost his PAL (Canadian firearms licence). He's an instructor at a firing range. This particular day, he was hosting an event where people who don't own a firearm and are interested in acquiring. This one idiot grabbed my friends AR-15 (which was not loaded but loaded magazines were next to it) from the stand, proceeds to load the firearm and starts aiming at people randomly. My friend (the instructor) tells him to stop immediately while holding his Glock 19 (I believe it was a Glock 19) at his side. Said idiot unloads the AR15, puts it back on the stad and tells my friend to calm down and that he is in the military and knows how to handle an AR15. My friend then proceeds to ban him which he then retaliates by calling the cops and telling them he was being threatened at gunpoint at the firing range. Cops arrive and immediately put my friend in cuffs while they gather eyewitness acocunts. All the witnesses sided with my friend and thus the cops let my friend go but then proceeded to arrest the "military" idiot. Weeks later, my friend is summoned to court because said idiot reported him to the RCMP who then got him summoned to court because they might take away his PAL. After having explained to the court what happened, the judge let him go without doing anything.
A guy I went to highschool with heard his neighbors home be broken into while his neighbors were home. He removed them from the house and had them waiting on the yard with their hands on their head until the police came. I think it went to his head a little bit- because he got a huge gun tattoo on his back afterwards.
00:10 Sure but think of what it would be like in bed! 01:20 She didnt decide to do the right thing and drop the criminal with the gun! 04:10 Wait till he is hitting you side window then take him out! Or get out and hold him until cops arrive.
My uncle has had a concealed carry license forever. Once when I was about 5 we were at Walmart he was carrying groceries and I ran ahead of him outside being the dumb kid I was. My aunt (his wife) was there too meet us and I saw her so I ran up to her and hugged her. She lifted me up and started carrying me to her car to take me back home assuming my uncle was there and saw that. He didn't. My aunt is tall and was big and she was wearing a black hoodie. My uncle apparently thought I was being kidnapped so he yelled, "put the kid down" he had his gun in his hand and of course when my aunt turned around he saw that he had pulled his gun for nothing. Apparently all he saw was a tall strange person pick up his niece and went into protect mode. Sooo yeah my uncle pulled his gun on his wife.
U want to know what’s real funny , the average anti tank gun used by the USA during early WW2 was 38mm ,they have a ww2 antitank field artillery for cc
I was getting robbed at my job at a gas station, 2 punks came in, jumped the counter and started beating me up whilst yelling at me to open the cash registers and safe. I hear a pump action, ya'll know the sound, and I'm no longer getting beaten up, I look up and see one of my amish regulars of all things with a shotgun. The 2 punks have their hands up and my regular tells me to move. I scurry away and behind my regular, he asks if I'm ok and to call the cops. The dude was riding by on a fricking horse, stopped when he saw the 2 masked punks start their way in, he tied the horse to a pole, and went in after them with his shotgun. This was a gas station in the middle of nowhere so having the amish come through was pretty common, the village was less than 10 minutes away by car.
This dude just came in like a western hero. Just showed up on horseback, hitched it to a nearby pole, grabbed his pump action shotgun and just forced them to surrender 🤣
@Conservitarian 17 I'm not certain tbh, when I started I was told there was an Amish village rather close by. All the men had black hats, white shirts, black pants, and beards. The women had bonnets and full length dresses, they all looked like they stepped out of the 1800's. Horse drawn carriage and the lot.
How many times do I need to say this? You are NOT going to make a good first impression if you SHOOT your date! Dammit Jimmy this is the third time this week, you really need to get your act together!
A couple of people in here, I don't think were legally armed. At least one person in here I'm pretty sure was Texan. And the vast majority of these stories shows why _owning and having proper knowledge of_ a gun is an excellent idea.
Had an incident many years back. We lived in an apartment complex that was in a sort of sketchy neighborhood. Not bad, just not very good. Hubby worked nights so I was pretty much home alone in the evenings. One night I heard someone on the balcony...we lived in a second floor apartment...trying to force our sliding patio door open. I would've had to pass by the patio door to get to our phone (the days of landlines) so I was more or less trapped in the back half of the apartment. The hubby played paintball at the time and one of his markers was a Sheridan K series rifle. It was the semi-auto one so it very much looked like a real rifle. The window of our second bedroom looked directly onto the balcony so I grabbed that gun, tapped the window with it while I stood to one side to get his/her attention. The semi-auto makes a very satisfying kachunk sound and after I tapped I used the pump action. I swear, the would be intruder vaulted our balcony and there were no further instances of burglaries in our block of buildings at all. And yes, shortly after that we got a phone for the bedroom and the hubby got me a real gun. It was a real wake up call, but I'm still a bit tickled that I scared the crap out of whoever was trying to break in.
My dad, who was nearly 60, was the victim of an attempted robbery. Some youngish dude ran up to him at a gas pump and tried to grab and steal his credit car and money. My dad doesn’t look tough. He’s a well-kept, nicely dressed business man that loves Jesus. But what that kid didn’t know was that my dad was also a championship wrestler/fighter. Apparently a tussle happened and my dad, being attacked, took his keys and stabbed the dude in the side of the neck. The dude ran off and got into a get away car. No idea what happened to him. My dad felt awful, which we all assured him he shouldn’t because he was being attacked. My dad quickly got his concealed carry permit after that because... you know... it’s a lot more practical than stabbing someone in the neck with keys
Driving home one evening I came up behind a pickup on a rural 2 lane road. They slowed considerably while one of 3 in the back "tunnel visioned" me with a glare. They forced me to a stop in a blind curb and 5 men popped out and fanned around the front of my car. The glare while slowing already set red flags and I had drawn my lc9s. (I had not pointed at them, but it was visible.) Glare guy spotted it and they piled in the truck and sped off. Everything in that situation set off alarm bells: the glare, stopping where i couldn't safely turn around or pass. The clear signs of meth addiction in their faces...
Had a guy start yelling and running at me (obviously trying to fight) after I threw a piece of packaging away in the trash at a gas station. Was yelling that I walked over and grabbed his gas cap (nope, just was throwing away some trash). I turned around, which revealed the rather large wrench in my hand (the trash I was throwing away was the packaging for it, I was fixing something on my car in the side of the lot). He looked at the wrench and his demeanor changed drastically, realizing that attacking the 200+ lb guy with a 4 lb wrench in his hand wouldn't go well for him. Suddenly it was "oh, I'm sorry, you didn't happen to take my gas cap did you?" Funny part was he never noticed the SIG that was on my hip then entire time.
In Italy they honk before driving into a curve on a mountain road. The street is so narrow that its quite dangerous if two cars need to pass each other in a curve so they honk to avoid it.
Yes there is, a 'beep beep' sounds different to a 'hoooonk', and if one believes in 'vibes', the amount of love eminating from a person, or anger, while they are pressing their horn, may have an effect as well, or it may not. 😉
I conceal carry in Texas. I used to deliver pizza for papa johns. One night I was on a delivery that turned out to be a setup and 2 teens came out from the side of an apartment complex, 1 with a gun pointing at my chest. I dropped the pizza and emptied my left pocket containing my car keys and wallet, then drew my CZ75B from my right pocket and fired 4 times at the one infront of me with the gun. Then I turned and fired at the other teen and hit him atleast once before he ran off around some vehicles. The entire robbery lasted maybe 10 seconds from them coming out to my last shot. The one with the gun died and the other was found by the apartment security trying to run wounded
Bit of a long one. I went down to my local Popeye's after I had just finished my last final for the semester before going and doing some trimming for my boss. I had pulled into the parking lot and notice a young couple sitting on the curb. The man was obviously an employee (wore the shirt, visor, and the drive through ear piece and about 6 foot 5, 230 pounds) standing, clearly frustrated. He constantly shook his head, rested his hands on his hips or crossed them. She was sitting on the curb, sad, head in her hands and curled up into a ball (probably 5 foot nothing, 150 pounds on a good day). When I exited my vehicle, I could hear them arguing, but not loud enough to make anything out. I paid it no mind as I headed for the door. I made it about halfway when I felt my gut just suddenly sink. My sixth sense. I said "I don't like this," as I continued to eye the young couple, but pushed it down and kept walking. I made it three steps before I said, "I really don't like it." I promptly turned around and headed back for my car. I got inside and sat down and decided that I would just watch them, just in case. If something happened, I was there, if not, then it was only time out of my day. They continued to argue and pace, all the while never getting loud enough to understand them. It was just as I was deciding that maybe recording this would be a good idea. I glanced down at my phone to find my camera app, just as I lifted my head, she had stood up, slapped his truck (his beater of a truck) and screamed into his face. Apparently he didn't like that and grabbed her around the throat and arm. My eyes went wide as he lifted her into the air, her head and feet swapping in an instant as he body slammed her, head and shoulders first against the asphalt. He was red with rage, his meathook of a right encapsulating her neck while both of hers barely wrapped around his own. I shot out of the car, screaming at the top of my lungs for him to release her as I went for my gun. I have never seen a dude that big go as pale as a ghost. He was no longer top dog, because my bark was louder and my teeth were bigger. He released her before I could even draw, holding his hands in the air as he stood up and back pedaled away, all while I held my draw and told him to back off. It was just as I was about to call the police that a truck rolls in and parks opposite of me. A guy gets out, we lock eyes, and he holds up a badge. He tells me hes an off duty detective for the sheriffs department before dispatching for on duty police. I was released with no charges because of a witness that had my back and watched the whole thing from about 10 feet behind me. Last I heard, both the man and the woman denied everything, I assume he was arrested and fired. That shit was scary and in that moment, I saw myself killing that man if he didn't release her or coming after me, the testimony to police, and the court hearing.
My husband did. This was ages ago, back when GPS wasn't readily available on phones but was preloaded onto CDs you played in your DVD player in your car. So we had a map. We by far *weren't* in the bad area of the city when we were pulled over and on a very busy street. Cars parked in front and behind us and the active/busy street we're parked beside. This guy came up asking for money and we didn't have any. He insisted we give him money. Again, we didn't have any. He then started slapping our truck and insisting we give him money. It was at that point when my husband pulled out the 9mm. Didn't aim it the guy, but pulled it showing him we were armed. Hands went up, he back away then walked off. The clip wasn't even in the gun.
Can you explain the CD thing. I'm used to printing off directions from Mapquest. To clarify I'm generation Z ( I turn 23 this month) so I grew up with Mapquest, I was the navigator while mom drove. Our 2016 truck has GPS but I am in charge of it
For the dude against the “never draw unless you’re going to use it” mentality. She did technically use it. I get what you’re saying but the reality is the defender was within legal grounds to pull the trigger at that point, and only didn’t for moral reasons. Which could have been a mistake. He could have feigned compliance and then went back to his truck to pull a rifle. IMO the defender should have drawn as soon as the dude got out of the truck. He didn’t know if he was grabbing a pipe, or a rifle, and could have not been able to draw and get a shot off by the time he found out. Then aimed at him as soon as the pipe came out, and keep aiming until he drives away.
Like the person at 4:23 said, the "don't draw unless you're gonna use it" mentality is bullsh*. However, if you draw your weapon, make sure you are mentally and physically ready to use it. If the dude with the metal pipe decided to double down and lunge, you gotta make sure you're willing and able to pull the trigger, or you might just be the one getting hurt/killed.
Don't have a CC or Open Carry, but I do have a pistol. Last night, I was heading to bed about 1am. Just as I was walking past the front door someone started beating on it. Kicking it and yelling. I turned on the porch light and opened the door. The guy started yelling about some girl and tried to push past the door. I just raised the pistol and pointed it. He stepped back and fell off the porch. "hey man, uhhh sorry! I am just looking for my GF!" "Well buddy, you got the wrong house. She ain't here." Try to break into someones house... If he had continued to try to get in... castle law.
but then it gets vague then you got people trying to interpret it then you worry because its the last set of people youd want to be making the rules going at it whatever else happens after this (does this situation loop?)
one time a dude i knew walked in my house without announces himself, big no no, and gets greeted in my dark hallway with the barrel of my pistol. long story short his pants are now brown and has a good habit of knocking
When I was 9 and spending time at my cousins. Her brother had a friend we'll call Bob (not his real name). It was rare my cousin and I got to play on the nintendo 64 in the gaming room, but for once our aunt forced the guys to let us have a turn. Well while we were playing at some point, Bob told me to look at him. When I turned, it was to meet the barrel of a shot gun. I froze but asked my cousin if she knew it was loaded. She didn't know. Bob and my cousin's bro were both amused, still looming above me. Well, Bob shot the gun and thankfully nothing was in it. When I was 12 a girl I looked up to (who was 17 at the time?) lost a friend to a similar situation. I didn't go to my aunt because in the past, when my cousin and her brothers bullied me for being overweight, my aunt did nothing but tell me I was a tattle tale. It was my first time an adult figure didn't care about me. (My cousin grew to like me around the time of the gun incident and stopped bullying me. Her brother's did not.) I didn't know if I could tell my parents, and years later they told me they wish they knew. They were hoping my cousin and I would bond (which we eventually did), but if they'd known I was bullied or had a gun pointed and pulled at me, they would've never made me go there. That said, the incident made me indeterminately afraid of guns. I can't be close to one without starting to feel a panic attack come on. I feel absolutely horrible for it because I know in the hands of responsible people - like in this post - it can be wonderful for defense and safety. And I honestly wish I didn't have this phobia so I could have one in my house to keep me safe too. Today I'm visiting my best friend and her parents got a new one since the family is learning to defend themselves. My best friend knew of my phobia and well - yeah I do have panic disorder - (it's treated by medicine mostly, but can't stop all panic attacks. Just make them less frequent and less severe)... yeah. Her parents didn't know I was scared and it was just bad timing. I went in her room to try to control my breathing, but I just ended up breaking down crying and having to talk it out with my friend. I'm glad her family is trying to learn to use guns responsibly, I just hate how much I freak out over it. It's so difficult to control, but I just get that same sense of dread that I did when I was nine. So yeah... the thing with my best friend's family happened after I was listening to most of this post and thinking about how great it is these people could protect themselves.
My grandpa was at the gas station near his house, and while he was there, the owner caught people trying to steal and they were yelling at the owner so my grandpa pulls out his 9mm Makarov, seeing this the people trying to steal just left and told my grandpa and the owner “fuck you!” While leaving. My grandpa got a free case of mt. Dew and thanked drone the owner
When it comes to not drawing unless you're going to shoot, I think that mostly applies to the gun itself. When you have a lower powered gun, or something with low capacity, you want to keep the advantage of surprise, just in case they pull a gun when you show them your little pocket gun.
I had to draw my once when a guy tried to mug me after I had been to a local bar that I frequently go too, I insisted I didn’t have any money on me and had to resort to flashing my Glock 19 at him. He kept coming closer thinking probably “he won’t shot me” or “he doesn’t even have any bullets” or something else stupid and crazy. I was a little drunk, and when I’m buzzed my sarcasm goes from a 7 to 20 outta 10 immediately, so I tell him “I do have a couple spare bullets here if you want them!” Though I was buzzed enough so it came out pretty slurred. I like to think that in that moment it seemed like I was a raging Scottish mad man, but it was enough for the guy to turn tail and run off. I got home safe that night and I got a good nights sleep but in the morning I was a complete nervous wreck. Thankfully nothing too bad has happened since then such as that. But always keep your gun on you and at the ready.
This video just illustrates why giving everyone self-defence weapons, the training to use them, and the regular psychological and background checks to keep them is so much better than just making it illegal to own weapons. The law just keeps law-abiders honest, people who are out to kill someone will do whatever it takes to get the job done, law be damned.
14:42 having been on both sides of this equation-having a gun pointed at me and aiming at someone else- having your life in the hands of 12 idiots and a politician is actually much scarier than looking down the barrel of a gun and having your life in the hands of some things who really just wants your cash.
A friend of mine was driving home from work and saw this women who jumped out of the woods and was trying to run to the gas station across the street. He was confused but then he saw this man wearing a mask who chased her down a grab her and tried to bring her to the forest. This is when he drew and ran at the guy. The guy dropped the girl and ran into the forest.
I took my family camping at Wye Campground near Colorado Springs, CO about 25 years ago. About 02:00 I hear gunfire, probably a .22 LR, rapid fire. I notice a truck on the main road about 100 yards away. It sounds like the shots are coming from the area of the truck toward me. I grab my .44 magnum and fire a round up the mountain, not AT the perps. Think pea-shooter vs artillary... The report echoed several times off the mountain, Woom, Woom, Woom. They left quickly... When the sun came up I saw several holes in tents and a camper. The a**holes were actually shooting at our tents. No one was hurt...
I had to pull my gun once when a homeless guy tried to mug me but luckily he turned and ran as soon as he saw it. I'd hate to actually have to shoot anyone.
@@spzer2557 to be fair, the question was aimed at the good examples. so I was cherry picking from the cherry picking. people generally shouldn't have guns if they don't have a badge.
I've scared some potential robbers before by just acting "crazy white boy" but in reality my heart races and I feel like I'm reliving middle school days.
I’ve had a man pull a revolver on me because my dogs weren’t on a leash as well, i was 2 miles on a trail in the middle of the woods. I get being ready to shoot the dog if it try’s to attack you, but pointing a gun at a person because their dogs aren’t leash isn’t right!
me and a friend were walking down my dirt road in the country. Heard something weird behind us. Turned and saw a short black snake about 15 feet away, heading for me at full speed. I know now it was a black racer, not poisonous, but very territorial, fast and will strait up chase your ass for quarter of a mile. Grabbed my CCW 9mm and point shot out of fear, perfect head shot. I'm pretty sure that was the fastest draw I could humanly do. I was so proud, that after figuring out it wasn't poisonous, I hung it on my fence by the road. Other then that there's been a few times I thought, and was prepared to draw, but never needed to, and hope I never need to.
When I was 17, our high school senior class (me included) took a trip to our state capitol. I was lagging slightly behind the group because I slowed down to take a picture of the building, and almost got mugged by 2 guys in broad daylight on the front lawn of the capitol building. I took a concealed carry course the day I turned 18, got a handgun to carry and it does not leave my side, especially in cities. The only time I don't have it actively on me is when I am either chilling around the house, or sleeping. Edit: In our state, you can own a gun at 18 and concealed carry at 18. You just can't purchase a firearm from a gun store until 21. You can legally purchase from another person, such as family, friends, or another private seller. Open carry is also legal at any age, except in certain buildings.
Lady who walked the dog off the leash pisses me off. IDC if it's late, early, or mid day. Leash it or keep it in an enclosed yard. Dogs are unpredictable, even when trained. Some lady left a dog off a leash and it almost attacked me walking home running across one of the busiest streets in the city.
this goes to show you that people need to lock their doors and keep their windows up while driving..i never understand the people who keep their car doors unlocked while driving
@Zzz: no, everyone lives where you should lock your car. Doesn’t matter if you live in the middle of no where, someone could show up and try to steal it
In the UK, you can drive around without locking your car doors, and my family always have since I was a kid. I put three locks on my bike because 'it's mine', but locking car doors while driving ins't needed.
So, 2:00 am, wife and I laying in bed talking quietly. Had been hearing the neighbor in the apartment next to ours shuffling around making some noise. Then it dawns on us that the neighbor had moved out 3 days ago and no one should be there. I took my handgun out of the nightstand while my wife dialed 911. Thought I heard something outside of our window so I got up to have a look. Saw someone running down the road away from the complex. Barely had time to register this when another person jumped/fell out of the adjacent window and landed in a heap in front of me. I stuck the gun out the window and yelled "Don't move mother------!" The guy didn't listen and ran around towards the front of the complex. My wife tells me someone else called 911 too and the cops were already there. The apartment manager was doing his rounds when he discovered the apartment had been broken into. The guys bailing out the back window were in response to the cops showing up. The first guy got away but was caught later. The guy I drew down on was found in a daze with a big cut and a goose egg on his forehead. When he ran from me he didn't see a low hanging limb in the dark and clocked himself on it. Turns out it was a pair of guys who had just got out of jail the day before and had no place to go. I had actually walked past them the day before on my way to work.
Weird. People seem to go from tough to very scared when there is a gun involved. Here is mine btw: My Uncle just got a license to carry a weapon for self defense and stuff after a friend of his got mugged. I was with him when this happened. We were all in the car ( My family, him and my cousins ) I guess the robber thought they would get more cash from a larger group and the adults had their wallets on them and me and my cousins had a few ones and I had a five along with change. He pulls a knife and demands money. I reach in my pocket ready to hand it over, but my uncle pulls the gun and asks him in a polite voice, “Apologies, but could you repeat that?” The guy dropped the knife and ran away quickly. We took the knife to a police station because he wasn’t coming back soon and we didn’t want it, also it seemed like the right thing to do. (This was in a sketchy area. We were shopping in a big city walking between stores and went through the area.)
Back during the Hippie Era I somehow pissed off a VW van full of hippies at a gas station. This was on Interstate 10 between San Antonio and Houston. Perhaps it was the fact they were cussing vilely in front of my son, age 4. They were obviously smashed out of their minds. I did not say anything but probably gave them a somewhat disapproving look. Twenty minutes later they pulled up beside me on the Interstate and started making rude gestures at me and shouting threats at me, hanging out of the van's windows. So I grabbed my .44 magnum (think Dirty Harry) and put it on my dashboard in full view of the hippies. I did not point it at them but I think they got the message and dropped back in traffic.
I just moved to a sketchy part of town. I like to go on walks at dusk. That seems to be the time when the crazies come out. I got my concealed carry permit.
I almost got mugged by 2 guys in broad daylight on the front lawn of our state capitol building when I was 17. On my 18'th birthday I took a CC course.
I had an incident at a gas station. A homeless looking guy yells "hey white boy! Buy me cigarettes!" "Me?" "Yeah white boy" He had a knife and showed it. I pull up my shirt and displayed the butt of my 9mm and said " you think thats a good idea?" He said. Oh. Walks away. I call the police. They take a report i guess. This is all after a year after IL got CCW on the books and had got my licenses 2 weeks prior.
I remember I was out for a walk with my dad, his girlfriend and our dogs (he was the one with the pistol) and this stray dog came sprinting up to us barking and growling and me, his girlfriend, and our dogs went behind a shed on the side of the road and my dad pulled the gun on the dog. It eventually went away and he didn't shoot it, but I remember cowering in the shed hoping he didn't have to.
CC here. Was in Albuquerque, NM stopped for fuel. There's one vehicle with labor workers ehind me at the next island and opposite of me, there's an older gentleman. I had the top down on my car, so I reached in and grabbed my purse to go inside and pay. About halfway across the lot I realized my 9 mm was in my purse and the store I was walking into sold alcohol. In NM, you cannot CC in places that sell alcohol, government buildings, federal property . I know the last two are law in all 50 states but I don't know about places that sell/serve alsohol. Anyway, I return to my car and secure the gun in my locking console. As I start walking back towards the store, one of the labor workers commented on my car saying it was a beautiful car and he bet it was fast. I told him thank you and verified that it was indeed fast. A mistaken cordial conversation. I get inside and there are 2 patrons in line paying for various items. While waiting, I didn't realize the labor worker had followed me jnto the store and I used to have a bad habit of tunnel vision especially when I was in a hurry. I made my way to the cashier and pre- paid for fuel, made small conversation as she handed me the change I was owed. I thanked her, bid her a good day, and turned to exit. The same guy from the parking lot was standing right behind me. I acknowledged him again, said have a good one, and headed for the fuel pump to get the fuel I purchased. The guy turned and followed me out of the store, walking fast to catch up. I drive a Shelby GT350 so I'm used to people asking me about the speed, engine, etc., so I'm thinking he's going to ask me to see the engine. Wrong! Hr said, " come here and give me a kiss." I was so taken aback by his forwardness that I stopped, turned, and stared at him for a couple of seconds before telling him to bugger off as I don't kiss strangers and I am married. He takes a couple of steps towards me and I back up but he's closing the distance between us quickly. I turn and head for my car, and throw the bag of chips in the seat, circle around the front, and remove the fuel hose. I tap the grade I need and begin fueling as the man comes up behind me and starts advancing on me as I retreat around the rear of my car and he's now chasing me. I reach for my holstered gun and realize it's locked In the console. I am ⁸now running around my car with this crazy guy in hot pursuit. About the 3rd lap around, I grabbed the fuel nozzle, and pointed it at him. He stopped. I told him if he took one more step in my direction, I woikd soak him in premium unleaded. He put his hands up and said he was just playing around as he retreated towards his work truck. Unbeknownst to me, the cashier had witnessed what was happening and called the police. I replaced the nozzle and got my door open when he started to run towards me again. This time I had was able to reach my 9mm and pointed it at him. He kept coming towards me so I yelled STOP! He did stop for a couple of seconds but then started towards me again. Then I heard someone else yell POLICE! STOP! PUT THE GUN DOWN! The police had showed up and took him into custody. They checked my CC and took my statement. I got back on the road and finally made my way home. He was arrested and booked for stalking and public intoxication. That's the most scared but serious I have ever been about saving myself from a bad situation where I had some control. I never leave my pew pew behind now.
That last one reminded me of Crocodile Dundee but with guns. I'm imagining a guy in an Australian accent saying "That's got a gun... this is a gun!" as he draws his .357 on the punk with the BB pistol.
All of these reinforce why I always drive with all doors locked. A friend O/S had a problem because she didn't lock her door after she got into car after late night shift. She was not hurt, but was a warning to me to always keep doors locked. Wife was not happy at first, but after a couple incidents she realised I was not a paranoid retard.
The worst part is how often people are sued for the evil act if defending themselves. When you ask, "where is the good guy with the gun?" The answer is he's not coming because the law already forbids it, or the courts will ounish regardless. You have to be your own good guy.
I had a guy hop in my truck at the gas station as I was trying to light a smoke. He looked at me and said, "I don't know you, you don't know me, and it'll stay that way." He then started reaching in his pocket. I pulled my firearm and yelled, "Get the fuck out of my truck!" He jumped out and ran into the gas station, so I called the cops and waited for them to arrive. After it was all said and done I couldn't stop shaking.
The guy who told the two drunk guys to move their car from in front of his driveway had a genuine Clint Eastwood moment, " Get the fuck off my lawn " .... you know minus the M1 Gerand .
I was driving to work one day and this guy cuts me off when I turn onto a road (I had RoW). I honk for 1 second, and the guy continues on in front of me for 2 miles. Dude turns off, and I think nothing of it. Then, as I approach a roundabout I hear tires squealing and in my peripheral vision I notice it’s the dickwad in the white pickup that I honked at. He didn’t actually turn off, he must’ve pulled off and rentered behind me. Dude starts shouting at me. I don’t even look and continue on my route to work. I took a few extra turns just in case I was still being followed, but that really made me wish I carried...
Just saying, but the guy who pulled the gun on the dog then threatened to shoot the dog and the owner is most likely NOT a legitimate CCW holder, and is actually the type of person a CCW permit is designed to allow you to defend yourself against.
I was living with my uncle for a short time after returning from a deployment to Iraq. Needless to say I was already a bit edgy when it came to things. He drove long haul trucking so would be gone for days at a time. He made it a point to let me know if he would be getting home late so he didn't startle me. Well one time he forgot to let me know. It's about midnight and I hit someone fiddling with the front door. It was dark so took him a couple seconds to unlock it. He walked in to be immediately be met by the words freeze or die. I think I nearly gave him a heart attack, but he never forgot to let me know if he was coming in late again😁
Most people are normal, follow the law and are nice. There are bad people everywhere who will get weapons whether legal or not, why disarm the majority of good people?
I live in a somewhat bad area (on a reservation) someone tried getting into my house while running from police, attempting to push past my wife and newborn. A few weeks later half a block away a guy got his throat slit and the attacker wasn't prosecuted because he was brothers with a cop. This kind of crap happens worldwide, take the guns from the bad guys then I'll give up mine 🖖
Man I want a gun so badly. Where I live I can't get a pistol till I'm 21, but my job involves going into strangers' houses and it can get super sketchy super quickly. I live in a bad town and the fact I can't carry is part of why I don't deliver pizzas anymore.
Things can happen anywhere anytime I have even seen a breakdown video on a cctv camera where a guy was mad over a ticket and came back to the cops precinct. He started acting a fool then walks in approaches a cop beats him up takes his gun and then proceeds to have a shootout with multiple officers. That’s insane and just goes to show you why you always need to protect yourself.
For me, I didn’t have a gun on me, but I think I remembered swift kicking my cousin when they tried to lunge at me and tried to bite me in the leg. Got yelled at but eventually got praised for it because some of my uncles and aunts saw the whole thing, and told my parents and others that I wasn’t in the wrong. This was thanksgiving 2012, and wow I’m glad me and that particular cousin don’t hang out much anymore… . What a jerk
I was walking home from the store once it was 10pm pitch black out..this guy starts following me..he was your typical mugger, he got about 10 feet behind me until I decided to turn around, put my hand into my waist band, as if I were going for a concealed pistol. The mugger stops! Books ass into the street and is gone.. plot twist! I had no gun haha, I carry a flashlight and a knife and I carry my phone in the side of my belt in a special carrying case, it really resembles a holstered gun I used that to my advantage.
I'm Australian & there ate only 2 kinds of concealed carry in this country: the pistols securely locked in gun safe in my uncle's car on his way to the pistol range & the very, very occasional organised crime guy who accidentally shoots himself from the right knid of keeping it in his pants.

After having explained to the court what happened, the judge let him go without doing anything.
and the guy ?
BIG F for living in Canada and having the Walking Vagina most Everything Away
Grounds for charging the idiot with making false police repoerts.
The same thing happened to my CCW instructor. I'm sure that's a story for the ages
I'm pretty sure most military people are literally TAUGHT for good gun handling and to not point it at friendlies. Maybe he forgot.

A guy I went to highschool with heard his neighbors home be broken into while his neighbors were home. He removed them from the house and had them waiting on the yard with their hands on their head until the police came. I think it went to his head a little bit- because he got a huge gun tattoo on his back afterwards.

Uhhh, points for trying?
OK but if you were actually being kidnapped your uncle would have been badass in that moment.
It’s the thought that counts 🤷
Well now there's a story to pass down.
That second story, the comment afterwards “pull out a massive .38”, they’ve never seen a .38 if they think they’re massive.
bpc0206 they said a 38. Which is a 38mm projectile, bigger than the average autocannon
THEY HAVE A 38MM CANNON FOR A CONCEALED CARRY
Shootymcshootface Koff never mind that IS an impressive CC, they must be built like the Incredible Hulk to carry that
U want to know what’s real funny , the average anti tank gun used by the USA during early WW2 was 38mm ,they have a ww2 antitank field artillery for cc
Also 38mm apcr (it’s the most common type of 38mm) has been out of production since 1949
I was getting robbed at my job at a gas station, 2 punks came in, jumped the counter and started beating me up whilst yelling at me to open the cash registers and safe.
Dude got saved by a cowboy.

I'm so glad most people are pro gun again. Back in 2015, there would've been at least 1 idiot telling you that guns should be illegal.
"Looks like milk's back on the menu boys!" I lost it

Was watching this in the school library and that part came on ._.
Its a lot better to just get a CC permit instead of the risk of getting blood on your suit from a stab wound.
Chiese The New of course, tailored suits are f*cking expensive, if I ever get one, I’ll make sure to remove it before stabbing the attacker.

Suddenly it was "oh, I'm sorry, you didn't happen to take my gas cap did you?"
Funny part was he never noticed the SIG that was on my hip then entire time.
Let’s be real... there is no “nice honk”
There is a video of a guy who made a custom horn that would do 2 soft honks
@Samarth Muthyala yes
In Italy they honk before driving into a curve on a mountain road. The street is so narrow that its quite dangerous if two cars need to pass each other in a curve so they honk to avoid it.
Its all about the length of the honk imo. A few beeps is friendly like *i here* as opposed to a long honk that indicate anger

I made it three steps before I said, "I really don't like it."
I promptly turned around and headed back for my car.
I've always wanted a gun when I grew up, just imagining how it could save so many lives by simply showing it. A few downsides though...
Make sure you get proper training first and don't get trigger happy. Pull it out only if you feel genuinely threatened.

Whoa. Watch out for those underground Magic the Gathering battles.
“He tried to cast a powerful spell at me” 😂
For the dude against the “never draw unless you’re going to use it” mentality.
Did they just say “massive .38” 😂 I’m dead
Don't have a CC or Open Carry, but I do have a pistol. Last night, I was heading to bed about 1am. Just as I was walking past the front door someone started beating on it. Kicking it and yelling. I turned on the porch light and opened the door. The guy started yelling about some girl and tried to push past the door. I just raised the pistol and pointed it. He stepped back and fell off the porch. "hey man, uhhh sorry! I am just looking for my GF!"
"Well buddy, you got the wrong house. She ain't here." Try to break into someones house... If he had continued to try to get in... castle law.
I mean technically, drawing the gun to scare the guy off still counts as "using" the gun. You're using the gun to ward off a threat.
but then it gets vague
then you got people trying to interpret it
then you worry because its the last set of people youd want to be making the rules going at it
whatever else happens after this
(does this situation loop?)
Most defensive use of firearms are resolved with no shots fired.
one time a dude i knew walked in my house without announces himself, big no no, and gets greeted in my dark hallway with the barrel of my pistol. long story short his pants are now brown and has a good habit of knocking
Her brother's did not.)
I didn't know if I could tell my parents, and years later they told me they wish they knew.
One of the best ways to conquer a fear is to become knowledgeable about the subject in a safe way.
It's amazing how people change once they know you have a gun
My grandpa was at the gas station near his house, and while he was there, the owner caught people trying to steal and they were yelling at the owner so my grandpa pulls out his 9mm Makarov, seeing this the people trying to steal just left and told my grandpa and the owner “fuck you!” While leaving. My grandpa got a free case of mt. Dew and thanked drone the owner
It’s crazy all of these situations are dangerous in your face and complete unexpected. This is why we have the 2nd. ❤️
"Nope fights done pride put you into the fight don't let pride put you in jail" damn I love that line
I'd hate to actually have to shoot anyone.

me and a friend were walking down my dirt road in the country.
I can only imagine how the drawing on the bears went.
"Hand over the salmon."
"No." *draws handgun*
That last one reminds me of the Snatch Desert Eagle vs Replica scene
this goes to show you that people need to lock their doors and keep their windows up while driving..i never understand the people who keep their car doors unlocked while driving
Laziness or if the guy with the weapon is slowly coming at you then your getaway is quicker though more often I bet it's the former over the latter.
Not everyone lives somewhere that they'd ever have to lock their car door even when it's parked
Have to say most of these prevented more crimes than any gun law.
Cause no guns are not gonna stop criminals. It'll just make regular people easier targets.
@@spectralassassin6030 do you mean that gun laws are not going to stop criminals? Because guns certainly do.
Lmao, BB gun here for training. Real gun for defense. Need to train without worrying about making holes in my house.
I once had to bluff with a bb gun that I had on my hoody... Scariest moment in my entire life
If someone tries to rob me and I pull a gun I'm telling him to give me his money.
The first story was crazy! Then I didn't realize the term "firearm" is another code for gun and then I remembered the first story 😧😬😦
Lmao the part about the drunk guy actually pissing himself
I got my concealed carry permit.
planning on cleaning up the gene pool a little? good luck and stay safe
I almost got mugged by 2 guys in broad daylight on the front lawn of our state capitol building when I was 17. On my 18'th birthday I took a CC course.
“Oh you got one of those well I got one of these”
I love that so much
0:30 never have i ever killed my date 😂
I've only drawn once and I almost had to shoot someone's dog because I thought it was gonna attack me. I would have felt awful.
I had an incident at a gas station. A homeless looking guy yells "hey white boy! Buy me cigarettes!"
"Me?"
"Yeah white boy"
He had a knife and showed it.
I pull up my shirt and displayed the butt of my 9mm and said " you think thats a good idea?"
He said. Oh.
"... and our dogs (he was the one with the pistol)" Your dogs were the one with the pistol?
21:30 that guy will be glad when a violent home invasion happens and the roommate already has a gun
18 years and thankfully I have never needed it. It's like life insurance. You hope you never need it, but your family is glad that you have it.
I have shut down two situations by simply gripping my gun and letting it be known that it was there.
22:12 - God, that is straight out of Hollywood
4:40 - correction: never draw unless you’re PREPARED to use it.
7:22 -bingo!
People far too often don't understand that firing a gun is not the only way to use it. Sometimes, drawing the gun as a warning is sufficient.
These stories make me grateful for the second amendment
>LOOKS LIKE MILK BACK ON THE MENU BOYS< lol
I will fortify this comment
TIL you're intended to warn, draw, then shoot. I was trained to only draw my gun to kill, never brandish it cause it's not a prop.
How do you even live in US knowing that anyone can have a gun and get shot at any time anywhere ? It's such a wild concept for an outsider
These are stories that could've gone a different way very easily, these people are very lucky.
Survivor bias :-)
My worst gunpoint situation is 15 solid mins at gunpoint. Cop told me that. Not exactly conventional...
Dads teacher went camping
Got arrested because 3 guys started harassing the teacher and his wife, 2 of them where killed 3rd guy badly injured
10:52 "whatcha think I got for you?" Was the coldest, most gangsta shit I've ever heard
Edit: 22:18 this is now the most gangsta shit I've ever heard
I'm Australian & there ate only 2 kinds of concealed carry in this country: the pistols securely locked in gun safe in my uncle's car on his way to the pistol range & the very, very occasional organised crime guy who accidentally shoots himself from the right knid of keeping it in his pants.
I looked up .38 online and apparently it's like this stubby revolver from like Western movies
10:49
That come back tho 😳
