ykcumop In the front, I run adjustable control arms, so I was able to push the axle forward to where I had to only cut the plastic bumper. In the rear I cut about 1.5" around the wheel well.
tj. alvy Oops sorry. Read your vid info. That's an interesting size. I was only hoping to run 265/70r17 on my WJ. Figured I wouldn't have to trim at all with my 3" lift
I’m on 4.5 inches, long arms, with 265/75/16 32 inch tires. Zero rubbing on the street. Zero rubbing on old logging roads and mild trails. I never trimmed anything. Also Im on the stock wheels so I also have 1.25 wheel spacers
@@knucklehead57 My 4.0 is at 250k+ and it still runs 100% like new. I want a stroker or swap but the 4.0 runs so damn good. Did you have the short arms here or was the rock link already installed?
@@xmo552 Short arms in this video I dont think the rock link had come out yet. Now I have 4" springs in the front with the R.L. Drives and performs great.
@@xmo552 For me yes. I think the 4" and rl is a much better set up if you do alot of highway driving. No more bump steer. Never had DW on 3" and short arms but definately bump steer on the highway.
You were able to fit 33's and only cut the front bumper??? Do they rub anywhere else or interfere with the suspension or fenders??? I have a simple 2 inch lift and 1.5inch spacers.. Do you think I could fit 33's as well?
I can fit them because I have adjustable control arms. I pushed the front axle forward about an inch so I only had to cut the plastic bumper. Also I have 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers.
@@knucklehead57 Are both upper and lower adjustable, and who did you purchase them from? The bushings in my stock ones are starting to disintegrate so I think they would be a reasonable upgrade at this time haha.
Do you like the 10 inch wide tires or would you suggest 10.5 or 11 inch wide if you had to do it again? 10 looks good on yours so just wondering from a driving perspective how it is. Thanks
LQ4 Mustang the 10's are sweet. They drive great on the highway, but I love airing them down to 10 psi when out on the trail. If it was more of a trail only rig, I would do 11.5. Full width seems overkill for these cars, never had an issue with my 10s
I just moved it forward until the tires cleared, then trimmed the plastic front bumper and installed 4" bumpstops. Also had to "persuade" some other metal in the wheel well to keep from slicing up my muds.
Your WJ looks great and nice video.
I had turbo diesel WJ and I really enjoyed driving it especially on the trails.
I have an 02 GC Laredo same color as yours with the 4.0. I’m getting ready to lift 4” and 275/75 17 jk take offs.
Looks good!
It's been fun. Recently installed the rocklink longarm upgrade. Totally worth it.
@@knucklehead57
So in this video you're on 3" lift with adjustable arms, right? Before you went to Rocklink?
Mine is a 99 with the 4.0 4 inch lift with adjustable short arms and I love mine but mine is far from stock
👍
Everyone I talk to seems to love the 3" iro. Hows it been in your experience?
Sean Mccullough it's awesome. Super capable. Drives great on the road too with the bilsteins. Best deal out there IMO
What trail is this?

Hi, QT2 or QD?
I have the 242 TC and swapped in a QD rear axle. So it's both!
@@knucklehead57 wow, great work
I like it. The proportions look right. Looking around for what to do with mine and this looks like the ticket!
Hands down a great 4X4 for the price. I love my 2001 4.7 liter quadradrive. I tow my 4K lb boat like it's not even behind me.
It's a good little car. Still running strong at 190k.

Where is this???
4.0 or 4.7?
james simpkins 4.0!
did you have to get and adjustable track bar too?
Yeah I went with JKS.
That’s a dope minivan
