That is the best looking winch bumper I've ever seen. The average Joe wouldn't even realize there's anything special about it. The designer(s) should be proud.
i must admit, at first i thought you were going to be another puddle-splasher, but in fact, you KICKED IT. excellent and tough trail for a near-stock jeep. thank you for restoring my faith in the JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE.
I like how the bumper fits with lines of the body.... a lot of bumpers are little short or stick out little to much.. not bad for rolling on stock wheels and tires and no lockers
Like the bumper and video. I hate seeing a WJ get some rock rash but better than it living life as a mall crawler. Looks higher than a 3" lift but that may be the 29" tires as I run 245/70R17 on mine (stock overland rims) Thanks for the video.
+quadpit Thank you for your input and compliment on the bumper, we really appreciate it. We definitely need new shows although I must admit, going through that trail with those tires was fun :)
I have a Ground Shroki 2004 ESPECHLEY ADHD but the company left all things to the agent sells spare parts at fancy prices company Jeep company failed For this reason, the jeeps are hated in my country for this reason the headlights are front and back with fifty dollars, but some pieces do not exist. I was very impressed by your leadership
Great vid man, but if I could make one suggestion that will save your hands from unnecessary injury, always wear gloves when you're handling a steel cable like that. Buddy of mine had a cable that had a few frayed wires, didn't replace it because it was still in tolerance. That being said, he handled it gloveless on one outing and a wire pierced his skin and poked his finger bone, hit a nerve in the process. Always wear gloves my friend, even if that cable is new.
Holy shit I thought I was the only person that thinks the bumper sticking out on the WJ looks goofy LOL OK auto subbed, and where can I buy that bumper
The bumper looks good with nice lines but I'll stick with my ARB, I guess I like the 85 foot front end between my WH/WK and the rocks but if you've made a rear bumper I'd love to see that.
You're replacing the factory 16-gauge steel box with a 1/4" thick steel plating, so depending on your local DMV codes it may or may not be street legal. You'll have to verify. The bumper does not affect the crumple zones not the crash sensors for the airbags as the airbags are operated by the vehicle sending an immediate and sudden drop in vehicle speed, motion and braking.
Joseph Yi the Selec-Trac tcase is just better for serious wheeling, especially if combined with lockers. The fact that it does not have the torsen drive clutch mechanism, and that it locks the front/rear drive 50/50 “oldstyle” makes it favourable. Plus, once you hit the blacktop, you can throw it into 2wd for better economy/less wear.
Is your winch a Warn? What size is it, 8, 9 or 10. I had an 8,000 Warn on my Wrangler and it was just fine but now I have almost the same vehicle you have. What are your thoughts on a winch?
Isma Linkin. it has an Iron Rock Offroad lift kit and it is not compatible with a WK because you have independent front suspension and the WJ has a solid front axle.
David Sanders it is a recovery bumper used to winch yourself which is what the testing was. I'm not sure if you watched the entire video but you can see us dragging the jeep on its chassis with all tires in air. That shows how solid the mounting system of the bumper is.
There are plenty of videos on youtube with less background music. Please find the winds to drift your way towards videos more pleasurable to your sound equalizing levels. Thank you
@@hkoffroad1480 I didn't mean any offense. I am new to your channel and I really do enjoy it -- I didn't want to miss any of your comments during this video, and I just found the background music a bit of a challenge for me on this one, that's all. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything you had to say. You do very interesting fabrication of offroad equipment add-ons to a variety of Jeep vehicles, and I like the real world product testing that your videos show. I hope that you're very successful with the products that you're making and that you continue to develop others (e.g., for WK2) and that you continue to showcase them on UA-cam.
@@vernonbennettiii3646 thank you so much. No offense to you either, my reply was pure sarcasm and humor. I don't take offense from text because there's no facial expression involved
It's a superior product !! that's why we ordered ours with the shackle tabs last night. can't wait to install.. ✔️ winch ? We're leaning towards the IRONMAN 4X4 9500lbs.model Any Advice ? Thanks for The Great Demo.. Rock On.... 🪨

I absolutely love the looks of this bumper. This will be the bumper I get when I'm ready to replace mine.

805 VIDEO GROUP thank you. I'm nuckin futs 😂
Dishpan Springs is on my to-do-list. Nice video!
that flex and articulation is nice..nice work
great video. I miss living in so cal, I used to do dishpan to crabflats all the time. I'm really digging that bumper too, may have to order one.
Thank you! Dishpan has always been a favorite. Deep Creek looks promising this year with all the snow and rain.
Very nicely made video; I like it very much. This is the steel bumper I would choose and add the rad. support's you mention.
I like how the bumper fits with lines of the body.... a lot of bumpers are little short or stick out little to much.. not bad for rolling on stock wheels and tires and no lockers
Thank you. Appreciate your compliments
Well done. Thank you.

I'm from NorCal about an hour from the Rubicon trail. Dishpan Springs looks kinda like SoCals Rubicon trail.
+FastestIntegra It's a short trail and it only has that one obstacle which known as the waterfall. An enjoyable day run for sure.
Great Video sweet bumper
Can’t believe you guys took that clean WJ out there with no body armor and let it get all beat up 😢
great video great WJ
Very nice front bumper and video. Thank you
Todd Hoffmaster thank you
When I purchase my WJ, I will be purchasing your quality proven products.
Todd Hoffmaster highly appreciated! We are ready when you are
Man . I like your videos . Cheers. Happy Seasons. Happy New Year. Keep posting good stuff.

TheRedRaven. I appreciate your suggestion but its a Synthetic rope. I don't do cable and highly against it.
HK Offroad I didn't notice in the vid, glad to know it. Stay safe brotha.
great job.
+Steve stockman Thank you
Nice job. Thanx 4 the info.
"This will be a winching fiasco."
nice I'm in.
Nice Driver salute Im from Argentina .
Is there a rear bumper to match it?
Holy shit I thought I was the only person that thinks the bumper sticking out on the WJ looks goofy LOL OK auto subbed, and where can I buy that bumper
Nice Video, Looks like you should have aired down the tires some...
Mel Taylor thank you. We did but There's only so little you can air down Michelin Street Tires.
Nice WJ. I have the same year and color. 😀
For sale never abused lmao 🤣 never touched a rock beautiful wj 👍🏻👍🏻
One owner, babied, towed behind a motorhome from home to Starbucks only

crazyt1ger08 Thank you.
Nice bumper its on my to get list! Is that a short arm or long arm lift kit?
That looks like way more than a 3 inch lift. Explanation please?
Joseph Yi its a 3" lift.
Joseph Yi in this video, its a 3" lift.
nice video. I like the simple setup on the jeep. nice driving to get the most out of the setup. shouldn't you be using a line dampener though?
Thank you! Since we are using a synthetic winch rope a rope dampener is not necessary.
Looks really good. Does it affect crash safety or street legality?
You're replacing the factory 16-gauge steel box with a 1/4" thick steel plating, so depending on your local DMV codes it may or may not be street legal. You'll have to verify. literally the exact special edition wj as mine color and everything. what transfercase do you have tho selec trac or quadra trac 2?
+Jon Rich I had the Quadra Trac 2 but I recently purchase an NV242 transfer case so now it has become a Select Trac :)
HK Offroad why didn't you like the quadra-trac 2?
Joseph Yi the Selec-Trac tcase is just better for serious wheeling, especially if combined with lockers. The fact that it does not have the torsen drive clutch mechanism, and that it locks the front/rear drive 50/50 “oldstyle” makes it favourable. Plus, once you hit the blacktop, you can throw it into 2wd for better economy/less wear.
Even on the V8 WJ’s it is a popular mod for wheelin rigs to fit a 242 tcase

@Hkoffroad what tent is that?
What brand of bumper? nice to see someone use a winch correctly! lol
Was it running on open diffs??
Yes, front and rear at the time.
HK Offroad it still did pretty good man! Do you recommend having both axles locked or could you do just fine with a rear locker?
Great offroading! What's the name of the track that's playing?
Vlad M thank you. It is a promotional track purchased for advertising.
Quadratrac 2?
Is your winch a Warn? What size is it, 8, 9 or 10. I had an 8,000 Warn on my Wrangler and it was just fine but now I have almost the same vehicle you have. What are your thoughts on a winch?
I'm using a Tuff Stuff 9,500 winch.
I used a 12,500 Tuff Stuff on my Wrangler, same on my friends XJ and same on my uncles WJ.
Thanks for the info.
Wich lift kit has this WJ can it be installed on a WK2?
Isma Linkin. it has an Iron Rock Offroad lift kit and it is not compatible with a WK because you have independent front suspension and the WJ has a solid front axle.
Thank you man good skills with that WJ!
To get the bumper do I google HK Off road ?
www.hkoffroad.com
Took my pet car for a walk in the hills he misbehave a few times had put him on the leash but yeah...👍
what's the cost of a bumper like that installed?
please visit our website for detailed info and pricing. www.hkoffroad.com
is that an inline 6? stock dana 30 and 35?
Manny Martinez in this video, yes.
I see you messed the rocker/door up ...why didn't u at least hit the bumper on something if it is a bumper test.
David Sanders it is a recovery bumper used to winch yourself which is what the testing was. I'm not sure if you watched the entire video but you can see us dragging the jeep on its chassis with all tires in air. That shows how solid the mounting system of the bumper is.
yahu bu nasıl bir eğlence.. yazık değilmi aracınıza, vaktinize..
3:42... FIRST BLOOD!!!!
Indeed, but I was hoping for a harder hit. Next time
Too much background music. Please tone it down. Thanks!

Use a tree trunk protector. That way you don't kill the trees
+Gugga Bump We used a 3" wide tow strap which is the same material as a tree trunk protector. No trees harmed :)
