How can someone live that long? Well, the sacred scripture, Ramayana, tells us that Lord Rama ruled about 7,100 years ago, around 5100 BCE. So, how could his rule last for 10,000 years? The answer to this can be found in another sacred scripture, the Mahabharata. It states that for a king who lives in accordance with dharma, a day is equivalent to a year. Lord Rama left Ayodhya and went into exile when he was 25 and became king when he returned at 39. He ruled for 30 years and six months after becoming king. When he was about 70 years old, Lord Rama left his mortal body and returned to his celestial abode. So, 30.6 years in days is 11,176 days. If that's the case, we have made a huge mistake in understanding the Yugas. It's told to us that Lord Rama ruled in Treta Yug, Lord Krishna was in the Dwapar. And they estimate 1 Yuga to be millions of years. If we see that in this way, the timeline would set in correct order.👍

And use a little bit of logic. I appreciate your effort. It seems the original knowledge is lost day by day. The human life is in proportion to span of a particular yuga. Also a set of four yugas form a quartet. The quartet keeps repeating for a fixed duration. Hence the life span of each quarter also keep decreasing. Like life span in Kaliyuga of first quartet was higher then its subsequent Kaliyuga.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Lord Rama appeared during the Treta Yuga. During that Yuga, the average life span of people was 10,000 years. As time advances, the average life span reduces to 10% of that in the previous Yuga. So we see that in Kali Yuga, the average life span should be 100 years. And now that around 5000 years of Kali Yuga have passed, the average life is around 85 years. We may not be able to understand how Rama Rajya extended for 11,000 years from the perspective of the modern day world we live in. But that should not make us conclude that Lord Rama lived for around 70 years and all the speculated bogus. With our foolish speculations, we become bewildered and distance ourselves from true unadulterated knowledge. Our intelligence is not developed enough to decode all the intricacies of creation. It is a scriptural fact that Lord Rama ruled for 11,000 years and should be accepted so without mental speculation.
