I love how no one can seem to decide where the hell the cockpit on the archer actually is, while putting it at the top is a lot more practical, I prefer MWOs interpretation as it makes the design look a little more unique and strange, and im all about strange and unique designs in battletech.
The archer is such a great mech, and ironically a really good brawler with the extremely beefy CT. I enjoy the Stiener variant with Lrm 15s and SRM 4s, or the Wolf's Dragoons with large lasers and SRM 4s.
I'm a fan of most of the designs that appear in the newer MW games - but I think this take on the Archer makes more sense than the newer one with the cockpit at the tip of the body wedge. Yes, that makes it more distinct from the "unseen" - but hey.
It seems, that variations of cockpit location are simply because of preferences of pilot. Some prefer to sit in CT, some prefer higher position. So every model of Archer has two variants.

Oh thank god, finally instructor farseer has updated his mech history guides. I swear without him i would have failed basic mech maintenance training.

Same.
The cockpit at the tip of the "nose" has been a thing since original FASA days

Fantastic mech really, especially pre 3050. 2K is probably my favourite
So Kell found an ancient cache of plot armor.
Na it's just salty pilots making up salt.
The Draconis Combine Variant is called the Spartan Battroid, because they're total tools!
No attack animation?
new mech lab looks good....
And the Bombardier?
New video!
Hey Farseer, do you have any plans if this takes off to redo older mechlab episodes in this format or no?
I've been considering it. Perhaps after I get a few of the notable ones I missed in the earlier ones first.
@@FarseerAnimation Cool, if you (for whatever reason) need a second voice, I'm *usually* free. FYI.
@@Lecog That'd be great actually. I'm working on another battletech animation too that will need some voices as well.
