Water is a bit cooler 😅. If you are looking for a great learning and fun opportunity for your kids highly recommend Audubon Corkscrew Swamp - it’s a 2.25 mile boardwalk through nature. Has all sorts of creatures including alligators, deer and so many types of birds. I have been so many times and never tired of it.

I tan very easy but when it comes to Florida you have to wear sunscreen and reapply constantly. I promise it’s best to listen to the people who live in Florida for all the Do’s and Don’t. They know what they are talking about! I’ve been going since I was a teen and my parents went over all the rules but I still had a lot to learn once we got there. Oh my goodness I thought that I was the only one that put food on the conveyer belt in a specific way to help the operator to pack things in the bag with like items. The other day I put my freezer bag up followed by frozen and fridge items. Then my normal bags with like items together which I think is logical. The checkout operator put the canned and boxed items into the freezer bag, the laundry detergent that I always put up with the other toiletries and cleaners last and yet they ended up in a bag with the fruits and vegetables. I leaned over and repacked them in front of her but the next time I went a different operator did the same thing but I caught her quickly and taught her. She kept saying oh I never thought of that. I worked on supermarket checkouts after school and on the weekend when I was 15 right through 5 years of university and we were taught how to pack correctly. Sorry that ended up to be a long response to your comment.😊

If you ever go about an hour North from where you are Clearwater beach is one of our favorites. We like to go to Pier 60 right before sunset and watch it set on the beach. Vendors set up on the weekends on the pier and there is always some kind of entertainment and things for the kids to do, like different bounce houses and inflatables. Baby powder is good to have on hand to help get sand off of your feet. We keep some in the car. By the way, Florida restaurants are used to beach goers coming in, sand and all. And last but not least, wear sunblock every day you are outside, even those long car rides can burn you through the windows. My husband's left arm is way more tan than his right because of all the driving he does during the day. I love watching the excitement from you all. 🙂

Forgot to tell you, when picking a pineapple, pull a stem from the center of the top. If it comes out easily then it's ready to eat. If it is hard to pull out then it's not ready.

My husband is the same with the groceries. Everything with him has to be single file in the check out line.😂 I just put it all on at once.

I went to Anna Maria island once when my mother from Germany was visiting the US it was a wonderful time. At the time there was a restaurant out in the water on a deck and dolphins and manatees were swimming all around us. It was unreal

@amy Maryon I am truly so happy that you and Greg are together, and that you got moved. I can’t wait to see what Florida brings. I love it there you could go back to the discount stores every three months and stick up lol. Publix is great I love it but it’s so expensive. Have a great day get settled and o hope it’s everything you want many hugs 🤗

Blue skies and white clouds look beautiful. I'm in central Illinois and we've had the smoky hazy skies from Canada. Blessings. I'm living Florida life through you.
