Vaughan Williams is also associated to Lasst uns Erfreuem amd Sine Nomine, which, undoubtedly are by far his most well known hymn harmonizations that are, like F.C. Maker's popular Easter tune Mprgemlied, older hn tunes and as you pointed out before, we still play and sing these tunes today. I winder if Bach, Handel, or Beethoven were still with us if we would not have sern some harmonizations such as the Mendelsdohn inspired harmonizations of Now Thank we All our God, and my favorite, The aisometric A Mighty Fortress, whule originally Luther, the 1738 composition could have been reharmonized by any off the following: J.S. Bach, Handel, Buxtehude, F. Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams (which would not be very surprising at all given how many hymn tunes were reharmonized by him), Mozart, Lizst, Haydn, or even Wagner.

Rob, Vaughan Willisame is probably most well known for Lasst ins Erfreuen and Sine Nominee (as we well know, those times are associated with Now Let The vault of Heaven Resound (Easter), All Creature's of Our God and King (Praise/Adoration in the LBW), Ahymn of Glory, Let Us Sing (Asscension), and the latter to tye ever popular For All The Saints (All Saints). The last one is so we'll known, although it has no patriotic context whatsoever, as a Presidential/Governmental Funeral hymn and could have easily been placed in the national songs section of the book. Have you offet d Lasst Uns Erfreuen or Sine Nomine in your Hymns of the week?

Robert, could you please play this hymn to the tune 'Everton?' It also fits 'Abbot's Leigh' very well. Thank you, Gary
