My grandfather was in the 2nd armored division, stationed in Germany at the same time. Heard about the defector from him too, crazy to hear it again just coming across this video! Some very interesting happenings on that eastern border.
I love how this badass casually mentions he helped create the TOW Missle system. And what does Josh say, "Hmm" Not like damn that's fucking badass. Cause it is. I love what you're doing with letting all these people tell there stories. But, I was wondering when you are preparing for these interviews; do you do research about them and come up with a list of questions you plan on asking?
“Put your hand in your pocket get a firm grip and move out!” That’s some sound advice . Would like to read his memoirs sounds like he’s covered a shit ton of ground.
These would be way better if the interviewer actually asked questions instead of just saying "WOW" and sitting there. This legend was stationed in Germany for 3 years in the 60s post WW2 right in the border of the Stasi and you didn't ask him one question about it. Just putting somebody in chair isn't an interview go watch some Jocko to see how it's done. Yes I'm a fellow vet and it disappointed me to see how badly this was done.
I listen to these Vietnam war stories to fall asleep, and I never fell asleep with this story 😂.
Me too
Can’t sleep when you are scrolling through comments at 3 am instead of keeping your eyes closed. Great minds! 🫣🤳😴
You too? I always think I’m a bit of a weirdo, for listening to these to fall asleep, but now, I feel a bit more normal. Props.
Every night 😂😂
Thank you for your service Colonel.

That's awesome!! Thanks for sharing, Jon! 🇺🇸
Soldiers being honey trapped and lured into caprure by hot Communist agents was pretty common.
Glad interviewer just let Vejar talk rather then controlled direction of interview.

I’m pretty sure he edits out a lot of his questions. Sometimes there’s no reason to cut a guest off too. This is very judgmental for Jesus Christ.
Solid American!!!!
They don’t make like this anymore.
