So nervous with all the licking but at the same time he was so sweet! My heart is melting, you did such a good job with this pup. What a good doggo for not biting.
You need to stop medical diagnosing dogs. You are not a veterinarian. Ear infections occur for a number of different reasons. I've been a vet tech for 19 years. If you want to show people how to pluck ears and stuff, that's great. But you cannot medically diagnose something when you are not a legal medical professional.
I'm sorry, but after watching a few of your videos, i just have to say this. You seem to state a lot of "opinions" as medical fact and that's not only wrong but can also be dangerous. If you dont have a medical degree, or can even cite a medical, scientific study, please don't state it as fact. You should add a disclaimer that you are not a medical professional, but just stating opinions based on experience. And I don't seem to be the only person that feels this way, either. Maybe something to consider for the future?
I visited with my dog's Vet and she said that they do not pull hair out of the ear canal anymore for a few reasons. One being that the hair should be there to protect whats inside. Im surprised so many comments say "You're so great at what you do!". Especially when you can see the pain in the animal's eyes.
Maybe you should know she’s a groomer and not take an opinion from her if you feel the vets info is superior. You have a responsibility to self educate and not believe everything anyone says. People who do that are stupid…. They blame people for giving them info when they should be blaming themselves for listening to just anyone without credentials.
OMG…I loved how you showed him what you took out!!! My poodles always insisted on seeing and smelling anything removed from them, I swear it helped them understand I was helping.
My dog does not eat chicken and still gets this, that's why I ask my vet for advice on her ear issues and not her groomer, just as I don't ask my hairdresser for advice for an earache, as she won't be qualified to give the proper advice.
This is from severe allergies possibly from the chicken but you shouldn’t be falsely spreading information claiming this is what it could be cause” I see it every time with dogs who eat nothing but chicken”
I own dogs and I worked with dogs but I've never seen ears like that from eating chicken. But I guess she means the dogs is ONLY fed chicken. I'm shocked how many neglected dogs I see in American groomers videos.
She did say it was her opinion that it's from chicken. And that it was consistent with chicken eaters. She has said in previous videos where she cleaned out a dog's ears that it is also consistent with allergies.
I really dont think he was being mean. It probably hurts and is very uncomfortable. He doesnt understand what you are doing. He is going through a lot in a short amount of time. Maybe give him a little break here and there to catch his breath.
It might be because of allergy to chicken, but it might be against something else! It could because of grain or something totally different. Let the vet do tests and figure it out. Cute dog though🐶🐕
The most common food allergens in dogs are proteins, from dairy products, beef, lamb and chicken. I think it's about 15% of dogs have that kind of allergy, not all dogs are the same.
So many people neglect their dogs ears, I have a toy poodle , a rough collie , a cavalier and a miniature foster poodle , I clean my dogs ears and constantly check them🐩🐕🦺🐈⬛🐾🐩🐕🦺❤️
I do my dogs grooming myself (not a professional) A year and a half ago , we did a Mobil Dog grooming service . They didnt do his ears like they should of and he got an ear infection, He NEVER got infections before . But I will also say my dog was old (16 years old) and sick and we actually put him to sleep almost a year ago. But I now do my other dogs at least every 2 months and I do his ears,,,,I now have a lil chihuahua and I don't pull the hair (mainly because , well,,,he doesnt have any) but I do trim up the outside of his ears and I clean his ears. I just couldnt belive that the mobil groomer didnt do ears. my vet said that was an important part of the grooming.
My dog had to be sedated when getting his ears cleaned! I tried to warn the vet but they insisted that he’ll be fine until they went in for his ears and he ran away and they had to catch him LOL but when they were clean he was a very happy boy got his toes clipped and some doggy cologne! (American bully staffy)
I used to clean my dogs' ears by hand. They were German Shepherd mixes and I have little hands, so I'd just wrap my finger in a puppy wipe and go in. The one that LOVED the groomer HATED having her ears cleaned, and when I was finished, she'd avoid me the rest of the day. The other one HATED the groomer but was pretty whatever about me sticking my fingers in his ears... maybe because his were bigger than hers? She was also prone to hematomas, so maybe she was just more sensitive.
I had a Rottweiler for 10 yrs. He got 1 ear infection in his life! The vet treated it then told me to put 1 cap of peroxide in each ear 1 x a month at the end of bathing! Rub the ear for 30 seconds then let the dog shake his head to release the peroxide! He never had a ear infection the rest of his days!!!
Multiple food allergies. Opinion...change diet probably to a Rx dog food from vet. I use clortrimazole on my doggie at times....because I am broke, I am treating yeast in my doggie’s ear.
O.m.g my stepmum has the same type of dog & her ears have never ever been dirty let alone like be like that poor wee ones ear o.m.g heartbreaking to see them in discomfort & pain with its ear being like that such ashame
I've never heard of that either and my dog she was a shi tzu, went to the groomer every 8 weeks like clockwork and her ears were cleaned constantly and was never told anything about this or never saw anything like this and of course when you're up close to them and you're kissing them all over there face and their ears and stuff you're bound to smell something her ears were always spotless God bless her
Dogs are smart. Why would they eat kibble if they could eat chicken? Just like why should I eat broccoli if I can eat snickers all day . . . . He's super cute, super sweet, and super easy to spoil, but dog owners have to think of what's best for the dog. I adopted a pug mix from the shelter and he wouldn't eat kibble. He did a 3 day hunger strike, then magically he ate kibble. I was worried he wasn't eating so I took him to the vet, but I didn't just feed him chicken. The people who owned him before were elderly and the vet said it's common for old people to feed dogs human food, but to stick with the kibble. I did and now he eats when he's hungry. He does gobble his treats though.
My dog's ears get like that, if not worse any time she eats any kind of bird meat. They will bleed in little spots and get scabby. We keep it away from her but once and awhile she will help herself when not paying attention 😬
My Pom gets a lil chicken breast everyday, but yeah its not all she eats and I keep her clean. I'm glad she has no allergies. You gotta be on top of em though, it's not like they can tell us.
I didn’t know chicken cause that. My boy eat chicken 4-5 times a week since he was a puppy and never had ear problems. I cook for him. He’s 5 years old now. That’s scary. You gonna have me checking his ears every day. 🤮
My boys ears tend to smell like rotten cheese. He fights me on cleaning them but while I’m massaging he’s always pushing on me and moaning like he enjoys it.
Just from your last couple videos I realized you're actually plucking the fur from the ear canal. I always thought it was fur that had just fallen in there and gotten matted together and stuck. (I have an AmStaf so haven't been around long haired dogs much)
Yes! Thank you my dog is allergic to chicken and i was treated like I was just being neurotic by some vets. Chicken can create some serious yeast infections
My dog has a food intolorance/alergy and gets year infections and smelly yellow gunk 😫 not very plesent for my big boy 🐺 hees on a special diet and it has helped tremendously just gorra wach what hees eating
I've been a "silent" watcher, I absolutely love the live videos where we learn so much each time. When are you able to do another one Dede? Sending all my love 💓
You mentioned chicken does this to ears. Do you mean chicken dogfood or real chicken? I recently started giving my Maltese/ Yorkie the Chicken and rice "Just Food for Dogs" it's totally fresh food. Would that type if chicken cause ear problems too?
He was a hot mess. When he came in. But Dede worked her groomer's magic. He's transformed. Just my observation. I'd take him for a hardcore walk/excercise. Before doing anything on him. He's a very nervous doggie. A nervous/excitable dog is more likely to bite. If something doesn't agree with him. He's very cute. The groom came out phenomenal. Of course the ear maintenance is important.❤️👍👍🐾
So nervous with all the licking but at the same time he was so sweet! My heart is melting, you did such a good job with this pup. What a good doggo for not biting.

Net zo hysterisch als de groomer zelf! 😂
A lot of these people can’t afford to go to the vet. Yes she’s not a vet, but she’s all some of these dogs have.
I'm sorry, but after watching a few of your videos, i just have to say this. You seem to state a lot of "opinions" as medical fact and that's not only wrong but can also be dangerous. Totally agree with you!

That is the sweetest dog.Even though it hurts, he's trying to be nice too. And you are so good with him, I love how you talk to him!😊
Tried to bite you, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL!!!!!! Over dramatic much. He did not try to bite you. FFS!!
He was such a sweet boy!!! ❤️
OMG…I loved how you showed him what you took out!!! My poodles always insisted on seeing and smelling anything removed from them, I swear it helped them understand I was helping.
he tried to nip u because u poked him twice in the eyes with the forceps
It does! And words of affirmation and quick pets help them as well. ❤️
taking it like a champ, most would be crying out
My dog does not eat chicken and still gets this, that's why I ask my vet for advice on her ear issues and not her groomer, just as I don't ask my hairdresser for advice for an earache, as she won't be qualified to give the proper advice.
What a sweet puppy dog! 🥰🥰🥰
The plucking must hurt😢
This is from severe allergies possibly from the chicken but you shouldn’t be falsely spreading information claiming this is what it could be cause” I see it every time with dogs who eat nothing but chicken”

YESSSS
Came here to say this
She did say it was her opinion that it's from chicken. And that it was consistent with chicken eaters. She has said in previous videos where she cleaned out a dog's ears that it is also consistent with allergies.
My vet told me that chicken is the protein that dogs are most likely allergic too. I was shocked
He’s such a good boy. I guess everyone has a limit to their patience. Lol
I really dont think he was being mean. It probably hurts and is very uncomfortable. He doesnt understand what you are doing. He is going through a lot in a short amount of time. Maybe give him a little break here and there to catch his breath.
You are such a comforting person to the dog, you are fantastic for your knowledge.
poor baby🥺 he’s so stinkin’ cute!!🥹🩷
It might be because of allergy to chicken, but it might be against something else! It could because of grain or something totally different. Let the vet do tests and figure it out. Cute dog though🐶🐕

Dry food is loaded with carbs. Carbs promote yeast. Most allergies are environmental.
Sam would get eczema on top of his head until we reduced his protein intake.
So many people neglect their dogs ears, I have a toy poodle , a rough collie , a cavalier and a miniature foster poodle , I clean my dogs ears and constantly check them🐩🐕🦺🐈⬛🐾🐩🐕🦺❤️
People forget about them just with our own ears unless you know you have an issue
No no dont bite me again....Reilly is saying No no....dont poke my ear again. Lol! What a doll baby. Thank you for taking good care of him.
I do my dogs grooming myself (not a professional) A year and a half ago , we did a Mobil Dog grooming service . Awesome! Sorry about your other pup.

that was a nip dont act like it was a bite. u over reacted

He is just so darn cute! What a sweet boy!
From eating chicken? lol. My husky has been eating chicken for 11 yrs and hasn't had so much as an ear infection.
Good Grooming 👍 Seriously that dog deserves a special Treat ❣️He is so sweet to go through what he did just on the ears alone.🐾
I bet he can hear a mouse fart from a mile away now !
Poor baby😓. My Shih Tzu’s ears never looked like that!!! Thank goodness she has you🐶💕
Clippers are too loud!!!
I hope the dog isn’t living off of chicken alone, that is not good what so ever.
Riley was like "got dammit!" when you were working on that 2nd ear. lol
O.m.g my stepmum has the same type of dog & her ears have never ever been dirty let alone like be like that poor wee ones ear o.m.g heartbreaking to see them in discomfort & pain with its ear being like that such ashame
My dog eats a lot of chicken and never have I seen this!
I think it depends on the breed
Some dogs cant eat it right
I've never heard of that either and my dog she was a shi tzu, went to the groomer every 8 weeks like clockwork and her ears were cleaned constantly and was never told anything about this or never saw anything like this and of course when you're up close to them and you're kissing them all over there face and their ears and stuff you're bound to smell something her ears were always spotless God bless her
Depends on the dog. You and I will not have the same reactions to the same food.
My dog gets diarrhea from any food with chicken so he gets salmon and potato dog food!
If they are not feeding dry, they may be feeding corn regularly.
You are incredible. Such dedication and so detail oriented!!! An inspiration to watch! ❤️
Thank you so much!
My dog was having bleeding paws and ear infections Vet said to stop eating a protein based food Cleared it right up Who knew?
What? Dogs need some level of protein. I don't understand why the vet would say that, what do you think wild dogs eat? Not grass and plants! Meat!
@@christopherkidwell9817 too much of a chicken protein was causing it. I also do a mixed raw.
Dogs are smart. Why would they eat kibble if they could eat chicken? Just like why should I eat broccoli if I can eat snickers all day . . . .

I keep giggling at him running around in circles 🤣
My dog's ears get like that, if not worse any time she eats any kind of bird meat. They will bleed in little spots and get scabby. We keep it away from her but once and awhile she will help herself when not paying attention 😬
Good thing you have quick reflexes!
I agree so glad I found her, she is the best groomer I have found on UA-cam , I am in the UK, Have a sister in Texas, this groomer is amazing
he’s such a good boy he was wagging his tail the whole time
That's a really good natured dog despite the ear irritation and pain.
It’s not from any food it’s from poor care don’t spread misinformation! Out of interest what do the owners say ?
Aww what a lovely well behaved Riley, wish my dog would be that behaved ❤️
Our schnauzer eats lots of chicken but never any problem like this at all and never stinky ears
so how did u end up here😭
My Pom gets a lil chicken breast everyday, but yeah its not all she eats and I keep her clean. I'm glad she has no allergies. You gotta be on top of em though, it's not like they can tell us.

This seems like a yeasty ear. Also, use A tips for the ears and Zymox. I wouldn't use pointy scissors with him shaking his head like that.
Unfortunately you are not correct. They are not scissors.
@@myfavoritegroomer not the pliers but at 6:12 you did use scissors while he was trying to bite you
Stop using scissors you could cause serious damage.
I put an ear wash in my dogs ear once a week
I was waiting on Riley’s ear cleaning. I recall mom said she was feeding wet chicken.
I'm learning Dede 😌
Enough with the ears. Looks swollen and painful.
My boys ears tend to smell like rotten cheese. He fights me on cleaning them but while I’m massaging he’s always pushing on me and moaning like he enjoys it.
Poor dog :(
Why don’t you use ear cleaner before cleaning the ear or powder before pulling out the hair?
what do you need powder for? you need it to grip the hair. If you have hemostats you don't need powder.
Think he needed a bathroom break too.
Rub the spot for relief where you pulled the hair out. Lol. That’s gotta hurt.
Already after a couple of minutes the dog looks way happier to have that stuff yanked out.
To me these dogs need to go to vet, be sedated and cleaned and pulled etc so they aren’t in pain.
you didn't see the video where the veterinarian sent the dog back to me to pluck the ear hair!?
Just from your last couple videos I realized you're actually plucking the fur from the ear canal. I always thought it was fur that had just fallen in there and gotten matted together and stuck. (I have an AmStaf so haven't been around long haired dogs much)
What a good boy so well behaved.
His eyes 😍
Cutie
No sharps!
E. Cartman , his ear is infected which mean's it does hurt that's why he's not standing still , it doesn't feel good !!
Hed be crying and screaming if it hurt not wagging is tail and kicking his leg in excitement correct?
4:20 Riley like heyyyy i feel that shit!!! Lmao 🤣
Pungent
Is there such a thing as laser hair removal for the inner parts of a dog's ear to never have to deal with it again?
Yes! Thank you my dog is allergic to chicken and i was treated like I was just being neurotic by some vets. Chicken can create some serious yeast infections
He is adorable !
Seems like pulling the hair out was painful ouch😩
I think she is hurting him
What if he jumps when you insert those tweasers? Looks like they could rupture the poor little guys ear !
How do you know where to stop in the ear so you won’t hurt him
Talent.
He’s cute!
Why does dog shake
many reasons.
My dog has a food intolorance/alergy and gets year infections and smelly yellow gunk 😫 not very plesent for my big boy 🐺 hees on a special diet and it has helped tremendously just gorra wach what hees eating
The little paw saying "don't hurt me"....
That happened to my dog, 3 weeks of antibiotics and hear cleaning! It was hard times.
This little dog really is such a good thing. Well behaved and just taking the cleaning.
I feed boiled unseasoned chicken to my dogs sometimes when my work can’t use chicken for human consumption (5 days since it was cut). Is that okay?
Too much of anything is not good. But here and there. Or more balance diet is best.
Poor baby, I have a 10 year old Shih Tzu and she’s had ear infection from birth. ♥️🐾♥️🐾♥️🐾♥️
Prob allergy to chicken my dog always are chicken his ears were fabulous ,,if there ears r bad it's because of ear mites and wax infection
I've been a "silent" watcher, I absolutely love the live videos where we learn so much each time. When are you able to do another one Dede? Sending all my love 💓
It's Wonderful, what You Do Dede, Thanks, that We have You and Others to Look After Our Pets!!
My german sheperd would cry the whole world together for just hearing 'dokter'.....
Aw poor baby is happy to have that taken out thank God for people like you💖💖💖
You know why Turtle Wax is so expensive? It's because Turtles have such tiny ears.
My dog keeps flicking her head all the time and her ears sound wet Iv tried everything clean wise wash out
You mentioned chicken does this to ears. Do you mean chicken dogfood or real chicken? I recently started giving my Maltese/ Yorkie the Chicken and rice "Just Food for Dogs" it's totally fresh food. Would that type if chicken cause ear problems too?
I can’t even with his little face 🥰
Why can't you use scissors to trim some of the hair rather than pull it all out, please? Genuine question.
He was a hot mess. When he came in. But Dede worked her groomer's magic. He's transformed. Just my observation. I'd take him for a hardcore walk/excercise. Before doing anything on him. Why didn't you clean the little flap/pocket on the outside edge of the left ear? It was all gunky.
My dog eats chicken lmao
Chick filet in FL.!
I have a 10 year old Shih Tzu that looks identical to med girl.
I don’t get it so if your dog eats chicken it’s going to have that yellow sh!t in they’re ears?
