I morally support the strikes, but I left the UK in 2004 and I've been in Germany for the last 10 years. Here in Germany the unions have a workers council and under German law it is compulsory that in large businesses a member of the workers council to sit on board of the company. And when you look at the way Germany looks after it's workers it's important to remember how well the German economy is doing. Respecting workers rights benefits the economy, that is something that is often missed out of the British politics.
