I really hope they keep the team together to do more stories set in the lol universe because I just want more.
I finished the entire series and I honestly think this was the best moment. Choice of the music, animations, emotions and the action, all of it is lowkey 10/10
All Jinx's fights shows how adept she is at dodging. Its so true to her gameplay in league. A jinx with passive sidestepping all your abilities as she shoots you every moment she can
her super speed being show with simple figments, while still being there, is amazing, we can see it being woven around with each shot of her ZAPPER and usage of trinkets. Not to mention the fact she's still pretty much an augmented human thanks to Singed's experiments- which kiiinda gives us that 50/50 of consideration when we need to talk about her plot armor in this whole short fight scene.
Really? As someone who hated that scene the most out of all scenes in this season, can I ask what about it you love so much? Because I don't get it. To me, this scene reads as nothing but laughable. For one, I don't like the idea that this Warwick speaks. I know he does in Lol but here he doesn't seem to besides this one instance (could be wrong about it) so its already jarring to me. Second, why does he need to say it in the first place? This is so on the nose, that I don't know how much more on the nose they can make it other than the writers pausing the scene and telling me "Warwick is Vander, and seeing Jinx snapped him out of his blood-fueled rage". They already did the really cheap eye color-changing trope and played "Dear Friend Across the River". Third and this is the really big one...pacing-wise, why do we need this in his first on-screen appearance? Warwick has barely been introduced, the nature of his madness has not even been established, let alone explored and it's already slipping? Getting to this point could have and in my opinion, should have been its own arc, maybe even a season-long arc but instead, we see him do this once, and the next time we see him he's already halfway fixed? And fourth and finally, why is this even something you are doing with him in the first place? Arcane has always been about the consequences of actions and cycles of violence. Why is this season taking one of the most serious consequences of season one and essentially calling a do-over? If this were more in line with season 1, this would have all been about how Warwick is a stain on Vander's legacy, he needs to be destroyed but no one can bring themselves to do it out of attachment and it costs innocent lives, all while what is left of Vander suffers under whatever madness his new existence subjects him to or something in a similar light. Instead, this just says that love conquers all as long as you have cyber Jesus to fix you up and no one blows up your shit. Remember how the entire point of Jinx at the end of season 1 was that love doesn't conquer all and that people change? Yeah...good times. Sorry for the rant, just felt like I had to get that out of the way before I hear your opinion because I am legitimately curious about what you think and if anything I think changes your mind.
