Yea just do it on casual if you're not level 15+. Saves you a lot of frustration because under level 15 you just don't have fast enough damage output. Healer+tank+2 archers is the way to go anyway you do it.
J'zargo hmm at level 13 on normal. with 3 mages and one warrior. warrior keeps aggro and all 3 mages have magic shield or w.e it is.
im only level 10, and i cant kill it, do i have to be at a higher level? plus my characters died so quickly, yours didn't lose health like at all...
Angel Nelson you should be at least level 15
How are you able to use the staff and the sword? What did you complete to be able to use both Video Game Sophistry?

This is clearly not nightmare mode. Even at 15 your ranged guys would be getting one shot by that fire.
I did this at lvl 14 on my inquisitor and 13 for everyone else...High Dragons are jokes , have a spirit mage , save said mages barrier for fireballs only and , make sure Cassandra takes fire breath with shield walls. Oh and Healing Mist Potions OP
Well naturally if your that prepared then of course they seem easy but just rush in with no plan and expect to get wiped easily
I hope there's a frame showing the gears and skills this character used in the fight. So the extremely high damage is because of armor penetration?
I see, the extremely high damage is because of the bonus damage of Spirit Blade against guard and barrier.
how do you get such high damage??? I am level 13-14 and get about 100 damage on each hit with the Iron bull...even less with cassandra and I have not encountered weapons more powerful than mine....its weird.
how and where did you get to that npc to obtain the mission.

Vilmer Malm That's the Knight Enchanter specialization class mages can get. And quite frankly the most op class in the entire game, as you can well see. :P

I was wondering the same thing... been trying this dragon several times and can't beat him :S

What level were you when doing this?
He was level 15 I believe..after killing the dragon, it shows his exp gain. :)

Think my game is glitched the dragons life is gone but he wont go down

Oh okay I try to do that aswell but I guess I don't loot good enough.
I thought High Dragons were actually difficult in this game , after the Hinterlands dragon took me so long , by the time I got to this one though fireballs were the only real threat to any of my party which made it laughable. I hate being a perfectionist sometimes , so many RPGs are way too easy towards the end of the game if you're doing everything and building right.

***** thanks. I am playing a dual dagger rogue. I first tried to kill it with cassandra, blackwall and vivienne. I realized vivienne was doing 0 damage to it as he was immune to all her spells...same thing with Dorian. Then I switched her for iron bull...no success there either.
i have tried 10 times to kill that fucking dragon with no use, i used all the techniques i could come up with still no use, Tooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking strong so i searched for cheats then discover there is no cheats, now i will simply delete the game and search for another
