BJ Thomas performed live with a 32 piece orchestra while world renowned Cuban-American artist Rolando Diaz paints to the music. Every year the Levitt Pavilion host a concert series that is free to the public. This unique performance concept was the fund raising event that helps provide the budget for the Levitt Pavilion to bring this great concert series to the public.

I was in the Army in 1966 and happened across him giving a Live Concert i St Louis. They let me for free because I was in the Military. He was so great I forgot about all the terrible things happening in the world. His concert was a little piece of Heaven, If only for about a hour or so. Thanks for all the GREAT memory's. Loved it in 1968 as a teen. Still love it in 2022. I saw him in The Flying Monkey, a little venue in Plymouth, NH several years back. It was amazing how good he still sounded. And it was sweet the way he talked about his wife.
He can just sing two words and l know that it's BJ Thomas singing. He has just that kind of voice. I know him anywhere. BJ Thomas you are all ready missed. You are so much a one of a kind singer. Tear drops are falling on my head now 😭😭😭😭. We can only thank God that we will always have your music and your beautiful voice. You left us with an magnificent catalog of amazing song of you BJ Thomas. Our time with you was so precious and few l will love you forever BJ. You may be gone from this world. I love this song, always have, but never, ever could sing it or along with it. You really have to belt it out, and sustain notes. Where do you even take a breath? It's a great song of elation, and it holds up, but wow so does BJ Thomas! He can still nail it in his 70's! And make it look easy. So glad to hear it live, and after all this time.
