I was in the hospital with Covid when BJ passed and I only had my phone for communication. Went o n UA-cam and for days learned about his life and heard several songs that I will treasure forever. I got better enjoying his music and great personality. This song and Rock and Roll Lullaby were new for me. His voice will live on.
I have loved this man's voice since I was 10 and that was 56 years ago back around 1966 when he did I'm so lonesome I could cry and the beautiful tribute song Mama I am 66 years old and still love this man's music he had the most original voice I have ever heard saw him here in Vancouver Canada in 77 not long after he became a Christian gave a bit of his testimony at that concert amazing man and voice he could hold a note in. E.flat very high up the octave scale and come down the scale to baritone with complete control RIP my brother in Christ you deserve to I know you are still singing in heaven but now to Jesus personally Amen
