She is soooo good at this- I’m endlessly impressed with how articulate she is, with totally on point questions and while her enthusiasm is obvious and joyful, she also doesn’t “gush” over these amazing amazing humans she gets to interview. That takes talent!
*Goes to like the video and does a double take of the amount of likes* WHAT!?!? ONLY 37 LIKES??? This NEEDS more views and likes. This is such a touching conversation with deep responses that opens your eyes and broadens your veiw on acting, singing, or sports, or anything you're passionate about getting started or continuing in. As an aspiring actress this is very important to hear. As Leslie says, Rush Forwards. I cant wait to purchase this book. Thankyou for this. ❤❤❤
People don´t like to talk about failure. Only in terms "I was down, now I´m up". A friend pointed to me that it´s because we don´t like to be seen like losers. This is so valuable, the acknowledgment of "Failure is not always getting a bad result, but not trying something because its out of your comfort zone", because we as adults are expected to "know" how to...well, everything. If we fail at learning something as adults, we feel stupid or failured and are ashamed of that. It´s nice to give ouselves a break, and treat experiences sometimes as lightly as when we were children again: It did´n wor out, ok, next... Thank you for this book, Leslie :D
This interview made me so emotional. I love how Laura is such a huge fan and knows her subject matter. And Mr. Odom’s insight and truth are so refreshing. It was like being a fly on the wall and listening to a personal conversation they were having. I know I’m a few years late but def buying the book
If anyone ever did a biopic of Denzel Washington, Leslie should definitely play the role. He gives off the same vibes and looks like him some. Amazing interview!!!
I remember him from his role in Supernatural and thinking he's so suave and impish, he really stuck out. It's great to catch him years later being a rising star
I just hope Leslie Odom Jr.s book isn't sugar-coating prejudice & or racism. It's not them, it's you. 😯 I inadvertantly posted this comment under a reply column, earlier. Sorry. 🙄

I just hope the book isn't suger-coating prejudice & racism. "It's not them, it's you." 😞
I would be shocked if Leslie sugar coated racism.
Isn't she great? Not only does she do her homework, but you can tell she genuinely loves art and her job.
