Lovely to see Willard doing this show! Shades of fernwood tonitght. This is by far the best episode of this show Fred is able to stich together this mad quilt. He is just super fast and on fire in this episode.
When the guy brings out the giant Frosted Flakes box, Willard says, "Is there a joke that goes with this?" Fred Willard was awesome.
That's a funny episode Frank hosted it brilliantly letting everyone else take over.

I was thinking that Beyond Vaudeville was similar to Fernwood Tonight and look who you have on! I bet Fred remembered that appearance the rest of his life, very funny! His ex-wife reminds me of what my first ex from the 1980s would look like now, lol (she's probably passed on by now, RIP you Battle-axe). Awesome show, thanks for posting it on UA-cam.
Bravah! Fred Willard...Whadda guy! So, without ruining my icognito (Just by name, I fear bad attacks when I come to cut loose on here...)but, as a semi-retired Horror Host(ess) (Is there any other kind these days? **sighs**), I appreciate the pre-internet,TV analogue amiability of your show, and, after a few recent reminiscing with a few peers, reeling in recognition, some even claiming to know you. . HA! They wish...right?
(That is, of course...depending on whom I am speaking to...Is it Frank..? (maybe David? OOF! Don't destroy my ABBA album, man!) Anyhow..mad proper respect to ya, and as much as I loathe social media. If I were to find you on FB, I shall definitely run, run, run there.

Were you living at the Y when Sister Perry was living there? She was a little old lady who would play an electric keyboard on the streets. Andy Kaufman hired her to perform for people waiting in line outside for his legendary Carnegie Hall show.
This has to be where Eric Andre's got his idea for a show.

I'll bet Fred Willard considered appearing on this show to be a bad mistake and a low point in his career. I think Brother Theodore felt the same when he was on it. How did they fool them into appearing on a crappy cable access program?
Who is that weird guy who just sit there?? Creepy!!
This was the worst fukin show I have ever seen. I've watched probably 10 of these reruns and they just get more uncomfortable and embarrassing with each one. If I could I would drop a weapon of mass destruction on the shows location. I kind of liked it at first but everything just got worse. David Greene turned into a psychotic person no one was comfortable with on set or watching from your living room couch, anything else was just too weak to make a difference. It was a nice try and lots of vintage guests.
Maybe try a new generation show after each of the original cast has passed away.
Aw, cmon, maybe if you watch 40 of them it'll grow on you? :)
