Been playing doom for close to 6 years now. He’s really good, especially for playing for only 1 year! The main tips I would say is actually play closer to the team, so they have sightlines on your target or dive together depending on these comp. Commit to using your ult before you even have it. If you are at ~85-90 % when diving their back line full int waste all your cd you should get a kill and ult and use it to either get out or to get more kills. (depending on team comp, you don’t want to dive into sombra cass). Other than that it’s minor things like working on punches and aim, but tbh he can def get to masters without improving mechanically. I actually think the main issue is the onetricking. Against a Doom and a Sig you won’t find much resistance. Doom has quite a favorable matchup against a lot of tanks. But a good Orisa, Hog, Mauga is probably an insta loss if you can’t swap. Or just get supports that don’t fit the high healing that’s doom generally needs
I was about 11 when overwatch came out and that’s when I started playing and genuinely these people are so nice to him I remember starting this when I was about 11 and I would just leave coms because how mean people where because you where younger
In his defense on holding his ult, people in lower ranks get flamed so hard if their ult doesn't get at least 3 kills. Doesn't matter if it gets the point, wins the fight, takes ground, creates space, etc., if it's not at least a 3 piece, you're gonna hear about it.

That's why most professional soccer players will have been playing since they were like 5 so the basic movements we're practicing have probably already become ingrained into this kids head. I used to play nothing but fighting games when I was a kid so I can thrash the majority of my friends at those kind of games without ever having played that game because the skills are so ingrained into me from a young age. Same with mouse control. Also the younger you are the faster your reflexes. The most impressive thing is his game sense. What impresses me is handling the pressure of an "all eyes on you" match at 11 years old. I have no doubt he's gonna climb, he got some really great feedback. I think the biggest problem is that he overextends which is why the second match was a bit easier since they had lifeweaver. I think if he fixes that and starts using his ult more, I feel like it wouldn't be surprising to see him climb to masters or even gm at some point.
His problem (for what I can tell) is that he does overextend a little, but it wouldn't be as bad if he could actually secure the kills; and there his aim doesn't follow up on the rest of his kit. Plus yes, he should be more ready to use the ult, but not as soon as he can every time. He is right for ulting only at the last moment, as long as he learns to track hard CCs that can prevent him from ulting.
@@andrearomanini7043what doomfist ults is best for is for aggressive people like him because you can jump in get a kill then meteor strike out right away that’s the best way to use it unless they got cassidy or sombra so i think it’s best to use it right when he can to possibly get 3 in the round
@@kripticlunar8198 Yes and no. Being very aggressive not always gets value: you can't get too much value in a 4v5 even with ult, you need your team follow up. Also you might prefer to just have your primary fire available in some clutch situations because it's quicker to secure kills. It depends
Its usually only over extending if the team doesn't capitalize on it. When 2-3 people are turning around looking at him, his team needs to press. Passive players are boring. There is nothing easier in this game than killing people that are forced to look in multiple directions.
@@Breggo1 "The difference between inting and doing your job is wether you win the teamfight or not". Doom requires to be aggressive, but you need to enable your team to follow up on you and to use properly cover: which means "show your face and let them shoot you, up until when you can't take it anymore". He's very good, he just needs to figure out when not to be aggressive, which doesn't mean to have passive playstyle.
@@ZackAttack59yeah you can tell he depends on the healing more than the utility and that's something he needs to work on a little bit. I'm not sure if he knows his ult heals or not though
most wholesome overwatch tank. I play destiny and me and these 4 other guys on LFG sherpa'd an actual 6 year old through a raid to get the divinity weapon which tbh was way more enjoyable than it sounds.
He doesn’t know what to do on attack it seems. Typically doomfists in diamond either have a hard time with one of the game modes, or a disconnect between attack and defense strategy. So like you might be stomping your push games and destroying people on hyrbrid like 70% wr but then maybe hard lose all your koth maps. If they are a 1 trick, it also tends to be they might only be good at playing into one or two types of comps, but some comps they don’t recognize their job.
Im at 3 min and I can tell this kid is good, he s going far as you learn way faster at this age. He has good game awereness, he isnt too greedy but still applies pressure. What impresses me is handling the pressure of an "all eyes on you" match at 11 years old. I have no doubt he's gonna climb, he got some really great feedback.
I know when you have a voice that "gives away" that you're "different than expected", Overwatch can be a tough time. When I speak in comms the fact I'm a woman becomes the reason they don't listen to my call outs (for better or worse) - I'm sure he runs into the same issue, people thinking because he's young he has no wisdom.
I hope he hits GM. I wanna see him kicking butt and doing call outs in Jay3 games ♥
Aww, thank you for the compliment. I’m his mom and hope to see that too! lol ❤
@@sam_bou I absolutely love that you and his dad are here supporting him. I would’ve absolutely loved for my parents to taking an interest in my video game stuff! Top tier parenting well done.💕
@@pendersweetz thank you! We’re trying, lol lord knows it’s hard being parents. We used to be kids ourselves, so we understand both sides. Point is to let them enjoy and have fun, but also be responsible little people. We won’t take that away from him. Team Nolan! 💞
@samrathbou9612 your kid is awesome! Great parents and love yall also being in jay3's stream chat
@@thegamingwolf8892 thank you and we are so proud of him!! 😃
this "episode" was so hype honestly. even had jay3 just siting back, basking in the plays for part of this.
Bro is 11 years old and has thuder doomfist like wtf how? Bro was in elementary school when that skin dropped.
Little man is already a better doom than my gm ass.
This 11 year old plays better than 90 % tanks I have come across. I love how supportive everyone is of him. Kid is defiantly going places!
Jay3: "You're ELEVEN YEARS OLD??-" (a literal child, mind you) "-HOLY SHIIIIIT!"
LOL
26:45 This was perfect. "Oh, we have Lucio. Imma grab mega
yeah he won when lifeweaver was on his team then lost when he got the lucio on his team. bro knows he got played
Kid "im 11 years old...."
Jay3- "HOLLLLLLYYYYY SHIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT" lmaoo
This is the cutest kid I've ever seen. I wish I was good enough at ow to play w em. Frfr. This kid goated. Push em to top 500 someone
We need to see more from him in the future I enjoyed every second of this video keep up the good content 🔥
I totally agree! 😃
Im at 3 min and I can tell this kid is good, he s going far as you learn way faster at this age. He has good game awereness, he isnt too greedy but still applies pressure. He just has to ult faster especially with doomfist its usefull to reset your cds and get your life back. But I Love it ! 🤩 I just hope people arent too mean with him, cause in this game there are savage people (and usually the worst players).
kid should re name himself baby zbra 😂😂😂😂
I myself am also a 11 year old and I also play 1 year and I do see a resembling between his gameplay and with mine :) but there is one big difference I can play every character but I’m not sure if he can do the same. But keep up the good work! 😁
