I have to be honest I am very leery of Calvary chapel type pastors I've been studying for over 15 years I'm very knowledgeable in the word and I randomly came across this page and I have to admit this pastor is very good very well spoken and very detailed and the verses. @@Smpbumper7 The N.T. book of Jude references it, however, even the Apostle Paul references a pagan poet in one of his books. So, the short answer to your question is yes, however, even a secular 21st century American newspaper article might contain some facts, no? So, do you see where I am going with these comparisons? Sorry, I believe Paul references the pagan poet in Acts, not one of Paul's books, but an inspired report by Luke of Paul's activities. God bless.

@@christopherskipp1525 But unlike the pagan poet, ENOCH was a person of GOD and a major influence on the Hebrews in his own writings and stories about him and part of the foundation for Christ to make Himself known. I hesitate to say this but I will anyway: As a believer, I am actually offended that you put those two in the same category. I find it to be very disrespectful.
I believe it was a grave mistake to remove The Book of Enoch from cannon. Without Enoch, the church has a very poor understanding of spiritual warfare.

THE LETTER J
But the fact is, the name of God's Son was not even written or pronounced as Jesus in English until the 1600s, simply because there was no "J" sound or letter in English before then.2 The modern letter "J" evolved from the letter "I" which began to be written with a "tail" when it appeared as the first letter in a word. So in Old English the name now written as Jesus was actually written and pronounced much like the original Greek and Roman *Iesous*.
