Camping at Apache Lake! // Sights and Sounds of Burnt Corral Campground// Grilling Steak on the Lake

- For my Fist camping trip in Arizona, I decided to make the drive out to Apache Lake in Roosevelt Arizona.
The road to get here is a 5 mile slightly sketchy washboard road that starts near Roosevelt dam and offers scenic views all the way to the campground. This road gets narrow and bumpy in many sections and has no guard rail.
Burnt Corral campground has over 70 campsites but I culd imagine this park stays very busy in spring and summer. I arrived on a monday in March and was lucky to get a site near the water as all the lakeside spots eventually filled up, even during the week. for more privacy and possibly less neighbors, I would consider getting a site further from the lake or trying one of the dispersed campsites.
For this video, I took a different approach to sharing the camping experience. I tried to do less vlogging and narration, to allow the natural sounds and beauty of this campground to shine through.
With that being said, feel free to ask me any questions about this adventure. I'd be glad to help
For those wondering, Im using a Napier truckbed tent for camping, a little buddy propane heater for warmth, and my propane grill is a Weber q1200, which Ive been using non-stop for the last few months.
Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy and consider subscribing

Enjoyed the video, you did a lovely job. Love your set up with the tent, I’ve never seen a firestarter like that, pretty neat. Love grilling corn in the husk. I wish you had “smell-a-vision”. Nice calming music and nature sounds.
@@angelaklinger2951 Hey thanks. This was one of the most relaxing places I’ve camped and I had a great time filming it. I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Aww I love burnt coral so much fun you totally need to do some kayak fishing! ❤😉🌻🎣
@@edikeets definitely. I’ll give it a try next time I’m out there. Thanks! 😎🙌
What an amazing place!! Happy Camping!
It was great. Thanks!
good times brother! i was practically your neighbor there. love your video
Hey thanks. Looks like you had a good time as well. 😎🙌
Enjoyed the chill vibe. Thanks for sharing.
YW. 😎🤙
I was up there in April of the 2023
Had the same planes/jets flying over.
One my all-time favorite lakes.
Usually take the pontoon across the lake and find a cove to camp for the 4 to 5 day weekend.
It’s a beautiful campground. I especially love the scenic but sketchy drive getting there. Cove camping out there sounds awesome too. Thanks for watching
One of my favorite places!
It’s a great spot! 😎
We were just there first week of Jan this year. It was freezing but we enjoyed the serenity in the area. We love the place hence we are going back for summer and will stay longer in the camp.
It’s one of my favorites. Weather was perfect when I was there but it’s definitely one of those places where I wouldn’t mind enduring a few cold nights. Summer time should be perfect for a longer stay 👌
I was there last year and will definitely be there once again. I think I went to the lower burnt coral campground
It’s a great campground. I would definitely camp there again. Glad you enjoyed it as well 🤙
You have a perfect setup
@@ragingpatriot772 thank you 🤟
Nice!
Is the road there boat pulling friendly for an intermediate driver w a big truck and 21' boat?
Thanks. I have a buddy who is local to the area and says he pulls a boat through there every summer. He says it’s dicey but manageable.
Chenzooooo . How is your wife, brother? Is she still riding with you?. I'm still trying to drag mine into the trails , only gravel or fire roads so far. Well, that is something. Blessings , my brother.
Hey bro! She’s good. Thanks for askin. She rode with me a couple of days. Hope your doin well bro! 🙌
@@ChenzosWorld I am , recovering from Covid still, I spent 10 days in the ICU, I thought I was a goner but I'm still here, must be my cuban blood.
Looks awesome. Are campsite reservation needed or first come first serve?
Thanks. It was first come first serve
Hello sir. Do you remember what camp site number did you stay on? Planning to go there on November.
Is the small metal table from Target?
I picked this one up at walmart
I wish I were living nearby, I'd be your riding partner. Word, brother. Sold all my bikes and got myself a brand spanking new 2022 Giant Trance X3 27.5 ..... Lol. I think she is the one .
I just moved back to San Antonio. That Giant sounds like a rad bike. Enjoy it! 🤟
@@ChenzosWorld Yes it does, my brother and I'm like Mather ( the tow truck ) happier than a tornado in a trailer park.
Sometimes you hope the fish don't bite!
I def didn’t mind it. But I gotta catch a bigger fish than the one Carlos reeled in!
Did you know that camp fires are the begining of social gatherings ?
