I was wrong when I said you are not able to turn the 1ft rollout on/off with Dragy. If you turn off the option in Dragy called (NHRA Rules) that will eliminate the 1ft rollout. Thanks to Northside Custom RC for the info!
It seems like the Pgear P610 is probably superior to the dragy. However, I like the compactness of the dragy and I already have one. I will likely never buy a pGear as the dragy is plenty accurate and has shown no signs of stopping. If one day my dragy fails, I’m sure they will have come out with a 20 hz or better dragy by then and I’ll buy that one.
You still feel this way today? Lots of people have been having more issues with their Dragy DR69s(the old one) now that Dragy released the new version. Pretty suspect honestly, they worked fine before but suddenly the old one has trouble grabbing satellites frequently. I like the Dragy but stunts like that make me want to switch.
I think 1/4 mile times are all right in both. It's all about accuracy. When you have 10hz (dragy) times of every run may differ by 1/10 of second (0,1s). If you have p-gear in 20hz version then times may differ only by 1/20 of second (0,05s). Which version of p-gear do you have? There are 10 and 20hz versions.

No, it didn't look right considering my Dragy unit is super consistent and has proven to be .02 - .03 slower than it should read over the past 2 years. Having the 2 devices beside eachother should make absolutely no difference. I have done this testing already with multiple Dragy devices and they all read within .02 of eachother: ua-cam.com/video/LGWvSaXtSSE/v-deo.html
@@VancityAudi Ye but there is a good reson why Racelogic for ex space the GPS antennas way apart when they do testing (For Buggatti/Koenigsegg and so on), and GPS company if any should know....
For anyone looking at this now. Dragy reads slower at the track because it reads when the car starts to move and on the track you have to move through a light beam before the time starts
That would be incorrect. There is an option on Dragy called (NHRA Rules) under the 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 mile readings where it is supposed to account for the 1ft rollout that you're referring to. It still doesn't calculate that properly and has never been perfectly accurate for me. If you turn that option off it gets even worse.
You can’t compare accuracy without a control test. If your 1/4 mile time slips are usually a bit lower than dragy results, then this may mean that the P-Gear unit actually is more accurate since it gave you a slightly lower ET..... A fair comparison would be to test both units at the drag strip.... Then compare both to the actual timers at the track.
Not sure that you watched the full video, or even listened to what I said in the video, lol. I have 2 full years of using that exact Dragy device at the drag strip. I have been comparing the times it has produced for 2 years now vs the track slips I have been receiving. They have ALWAYS been slower than what the track slip says. Meaning that the consistency of this device seems to always been bang on. Always slower, never a perfect match and never quicker than the time slips. That provides me more than enough of a control to test the P-Gear against it. I also say that the Dragy device has NEVER been as off as the P-Gear shows so I think the P-Gear was registering incorrectly and wasn't correct with that 1-ft rollout. Not only that, I specifically say in the video that I'll be bringing them both to the track to test once again. I'm confident the Dragy will be more consistent and possibly more accurate once again. Only time will tell though and I'll be sure to share that info with everyone once I've done the testing.
I just received the Pgear and I have to say Im not satisfied with the app at all. Unless I am doing something wrong(since theres no instructions for the app) the Pgear does not automatically restart the testing once you drop back below the starting point of measurement. So when I go out on my motorcycle to measure 60-130, I can only do it once before having to pull over and start it again but with the Dragy I dont have to restart it as it automatically restarts. So I can do all my pulls and then check the results at the end. Anyway to make the Pgear do this as well that you know of?
@@VancityAudi I think it was just in drag mode. I'll try putting it in easy mode. Hopefully it works so I can finish this review and hopefully on a positive note and not feeling like I wasted $130 LoL

This video was shot almost 2 years ago. Sadly I don't plan on testing wthe new units. Both Dragy and P-Gear have a new model available since then and I'm sure they both work better than before.
As far as slope goes, maybe when you point the thing up to the windshield.... it needs to be level? I'm considering one of these two units, not sure yet. Is battery life good on both units? Dragy sounds like the winner
Slope has nothing to do with the angle of the device. I've tested it further in a bunch of different ways and the slope reading is by far the least accurate part of how the Dragy works.
