Can u advise me what the torque settings are on the head bolts and cam bolts. I was told head bolts are 30nm and then 90 degrees and another 90 degrees. Don't know cam settings tho

A bit shocked to see this engine in a rear wheel drive! Great little engine, I am pretty sure it is the same engine that is badged Daihatsu is some parts of the world
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 I have to confess I have some inside information. I have a house in Malaysia and own a Malaysian car called a Perodua. Perodua is owned by Daihatsu/Toyota. That same engine is in our Perodua! Regards from the UK and say hello to Africa from me, I miss the continent dearly.
What is the oil capacity for this specific engine? I don't have the owner's manual and there's a mix of information in the net which confused me of which oil quantity in liters to follow.
It is incorrectly set! On the exhaust is shifted by one tooth! Unfortunately, I listened to this video and had to set it up again !! When you disassemble the casing, see how the old chain goes, put signs on the old chain and set the new one the same way! P.S. Theres a disturbing knocking on my avanza 1.3 .. what should i do? In my case, when it made a strange timing noise, it turned out to be blurred/ damaged on the piston pin. 2 cylinder

Sorry to hear that but you are way off point here, it could be the clutch hydraulics, clutch and pressure plate, or the gear selector cables, it must be checked by a knowledgeable mechanic.
Only when needed Anita, like when it starts to make a rattling noise, or the timing goes out dramatically due to the chain stretching, causing loss of power or non-start.

15nm then 34nm then 180 degrees Cam caps 13nm + 2nm

3.1 liters including the oil filter, these engines are also used in the Daihatsu Materia.

If you unplug all the sensors and done the time do you still have to reset the computer
It will reset when you reconnect the battery

i done you setting and now the idle is high and hard shift when put car in gear.is it something to do with timing?
