they're UNDERATED.
I grew up listening to 70's music and I dont find the falsetto that bad, is mellowing, a breath of fresh air from the self pity moaning folk singing style of today.
What a wonderful band
The audio engineer is a genius
Right?! All his mixes are very well done.
Agree! The one time I saw Woods, there were sound issues...the overall richness wasn't coming through. And here, contrary to some of the other comments, the work with the vocals is stellar. CS
How come KEXP do the best live sessions EVER!!!
Loving everything about this! So nice!
Great to see Dave Mustaine on piano and sax again
Weird Al Mustainavic
hahahahahahahahahahahah you fucking broke me! genius
I thought it was Blake Anderson
They sound almost the exact same here as they do on recording. That shows such good musicianship and quality live recording by KEXP.
Outstanding! Thank You KEXP for keeping great music alive!
Best performance in a cool while
Tight. Superb band. Thank you KEXP
great band, i wish to bring them to play in Brazil...
This band is so good people...
Love this band
this host is the best
As for the complaints about the singer's falsetto, if the guys on the board had cranked up the reverb on the lead vocal track it would have erased some of that issue. Really nice instrumental arrangements in this performance.
i love 10:05 where the singer and drummer get hyped on the horns
WHAT MODEL IS THAT SILVERTONE GUITAR? I NEED TO KNOW!
Well done boys!
Dig their sound a lot..I get what people say on the falsetto. I think it sounds good but it looses its impact when he uses it all the time. Never the less they are a killer band
its weird not see cheryl
We love you Cheryl !
Powerful Beard !
Dwyer killing it on that hollowbody
I love his "IM IN" sticker. Someone has been keeping up with British politics. Very impressive.
Drums were really dragging on Sun City Creeps, hate to see it. I love the studio version that is so energetic and tight.
such a fine line between dragging and driving
As I'm watching Woods through my laptop i'm regretting not going to see them at the capital hill block party.
i love Voods
rad
Wow
Am I hearing this right?
When did Kenny G. join Woods?
Good to see that Glenn survived The Walking Dead and started playing bass for a band.
weak.
Good to see John Lennon up and alive
earthy funk
The only way I could see it is to put
Why does their new single have the same album art as Ultimate Painting's??
It's a split 7" with a song by Woods on one side and one by UP on the other. It's been released to be sold on the tour both bands have made together.
+SrLansky ohhhh thanks i was confused lol
Awesome music and a super talented group! Singer may need to work on de-beegee-ing his falsetto though. If he opened it up a little more it might be easier for him to consistently hit the notes and not sound like a poor beegees imitation.
Yep his shaky falsetto is the only off thing about the performance... otherwise it's super impressive.
+writerofbaddreams his vocal style reminds me of Sting.
Too me the falsetto sound somewhat artificial or alienated. Such a pity that he doesn´t show his natural voice. For me it would make the songs more authentic .
Franki valli on vocals
Dave Mustaine and John Lennon. Nice.
yoko ono in the bass :v
cant stand that voice
I want to like this but those horns sound atrocious.
