His name is Gary Pinto and he is an Aussie, as is Mahalia Barnes. The other girl is Juanita Tippins she is a Kiwi but lived in Australia for a long time prior to going to the States. I think their band was the Sapphires?
I totally agree. This is such an amazing lineup of artists. They are both amazing. I just can't get enough of Tina though. The passion matches Joe in playing its so amazing to watch.
This particular song is so easy to listen to because of the artistry of everyone involved with Joe Bonamassa. Gary Pinto, Mahalia Barnes and Juanita Tippins adds so much to this song as well as the rest of the seasoned band who are no strangers to the truly gifted artists roll call.
It's difficult to tell where this young man will take us, musically and emotionally. His vocal and instrumental skills, his generosity and humanity, all coupled with a humility that will sustain and strengthen his powers...this is going to be some musical trip.
Besides all the artists being so incredible the producers and sound engineers also deserve a great deal of credit. The sound mix and camera work could not have been any better!
I saw this show in Va Beach VA at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts. It was one of the best configurations of singers, musicians & performers I had seen in all of Joe's concerts I have attended. They made a DVD from the Carnegie Hall show & I watch it often. This was the only tour where Joe had Tina the cello player with him. They did a knock down drag out back-in-forth on Woke Up Dreamin ! It received a long standing ovation. I LOVE Joe !!!
Absolutely fabulous concert. Wish I could have been there but am taking my three daughters to the Joe Bonamassa concert in Vancouver in November 2018.Can't wait - he is the new great one and I have been a Clapton and Carlos Santana fan my whole life.
This is great! Check out the cellist as often as they will let you. Love how all these voices, instruments and talent came together. I'm a Bonamassa FAN!
Carnegie Hall is my favorite Joe concert, and this particular piece is my favorite in it. I return to this one, time and again, for a lift of spirits; does it for me every time. It just rocks right along, especially the banjo moments. Must not forget the drummer too, doing good work - when I first saw this video I said "Hey, I know that hat" - and going through the credits, of course - it's Anton Fig, the mainstay drummer of Paul Shaffer's house band for the David Letterman Show - seems like so long ago now.
What goes around, comes back around Your hollow words, they echo now For you to keep, when you're alone So, you can lie to yourself when I'm gone It's a bitter pill to swallow Can you taste the pain and sorrow? Go on and beg and steal and borrow But that won't get back my tomorrow Hey yeah! What hurts to learn will make you wise Was it worth the burn to get to this goodbye? I'd rather stall again on this dirt floor Crawl my way back to the man I was before It's a bitter pill to swallow Can you taste the pain and sorrow? Go on and beg and steal and borrow But that won't get back my tomorrow Yeah, take all the time you need Ya ain't taking no more from me! It's a bitter pill to swallow Can you taste the pain and sorrow? Go on and beg and steal and borrow But that won't get back my tomorrow It's a bitter pill to swallow Can you taste the pain and sorrow? Go on and beg and steal and borrow But that won't get back my tomorrow Writer(s): Joe Bonamassa, Jerry Flowers, Jeffery Steele

As if Joe and Tina weren't good enough they added added talented singers and what seemed like a whole orchestra of talent to give a dynamic new blues genre.
Great music, still here!!!! Great Artist too!!!!And the fusion of sounds in this Song,Is the most beautiful languish in the World. That All of Us Understand.Thank you.

I'd be willing to bet this is the first time a man in a turban has been accompanied by a banjo ... and yet, somehow it all works. Great stuff!
It was great seeing legendary pianist Reese Wynans who played with Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble.
