How is 60 cards 5-10 minutes?! I take at least 1 minute per card because I read sentences and they don't stick in my head so I read them over and over again 😭
Sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
Man I wanna see more videos that are purely you doing your reviews!! You could even do one every single day, and I would enjoy that a lot as background accompanying noise.
Hey, man. Not sure that you read your comments, based on the lack of responses below, but how much time would you say that you spend on average creating cards? specifically, how long does it take you to create 1 card?
Thanks for another useful video. Do you think the style of cards that you use is more beneficial than fill in the blank style cloze? In other words, do you think: ‘What is the powerhouse of the cell? {Mitochondrion}’ Is better than: ‘{The Mitochondrion} is the powerhouse of the cell’ I’d appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
I think the 1st type is better because i find it hard that if someone then asks the question i struggle to get the answer right as I might have just learned the gap/cloze deletion but not the context (if there is more than 1 sentence)
Sounds like a great strategy! I'm an M2 and we're about to start our clinical patho-physiological curriculum for step, so I'll try to put it to use. Quick question if you don't mind: Do you have any tips on how to structure my days reviewing for step in these few months before dedicated? I'm currently using AnKing (basically Zanki with other decks) and I'm going to try to get mature as much as possible before dedicated and I also have Boards and Beyond, Sketchy, and the Kaplan QBank.
What add-on is the one that keeps telling you how many cards you’ve done? It’s quite difficult to keep track of all cards, possible but not optimal :p With an addon that lets you know when you’ve completed 60 cards it would be much easier to follow your strategy! Cheers
Thank you dear dr juthani , Your videos are truely helping me , Thank you , Yes i find that your writings are colorful and when you study 20 or 40 or 60 cards ,ther is something like notification that informs you you did so , I will really glad if you explain thoroughly about your new and old add ons , I use hitmap and image occlusion i learned those from you , Thank you i want to learn more from you , Thank you, Sincerely yours , PharmD Amir
Hey Prerak :) What do you think of binaural beats in relation with studying? Do you use them yourself or do you think it'll be still a form of multitasking for the brain? Some studies show a beneficial effect of alpha waves for the brain while studying and some studies show that doing anthing else in addition to study wlil distract your braine and forcing it to multitask. I am really interested in your opinion! Greetings from a fellow german medical student from Heidelberg
While doing Anki, listening to binaural beats is as good as standing in a downtown busy noisy street. It all depends on how good you focusing in a given noisy situation. Adding any additional noise takes more mental bandwith to focus . Binaural beats does not add any superpowers.
Do you take notes on microsoft word in class and then make questions from your notes for every class? Do you ever make cards during the lecture or just when you're at home with textbooks/lecture slides?
Love your videos and going all in on anki this semester...How did you get the 4 cloze deletions on the pneumonic for things that are great PPV to all be concealed? When I do multiple deletions, the others show while 1 is concealed... thanks
had the same thooughts about this topic, great video ! what do you think about using it when u still have cards in learning mode ? now,if you press again for a card in a learning mode it becomes hard to count because i doesnt change the count ...any suggestions?

60 cards in 5-10 min?! i'm definitely not making cards right... takes me about 30-40 min..
He's just reviewing them not learning new ones I think.
OMG I thought the same thing.
I think that switching idea would be great for people like me who get bored easily!
That’s acupuncture really clever! Thx for sharing the video

Always use the basic or the derivatives of the basic, Basic card type will cover 90% of needs. Avoid cloze like plague.
Great video!! Very helpful tips.

I'm in this same boat so advice would be great! Also how do you learn new cards? Cause I'm doing reviews + new cards which takes longer
you can use the hoochie add ons to randomise subdecks btw
Any chance you would share this deck in the future?

What’s been your observation so far?

If you're smart, record the class or lecture you are having, then go home listen to it and make Anki cards from the lecture slides.

Use the same number for the cloze {{c1::yadayada}} {{c1::other stuff}} {{c1::put this in the same cloze also}}
shootnscore26 He is using the addon “cloze overlapper”
Neat. I found counting my breaths down from a number like 20 works the best for me. Can go over an hour that way.
What do you mean? When do you start counting?
Definitely got a sub
