Hi, I'm a geologist and I saw about stereonet in 2004 at university, and I haven't seen it since.
And now I needed to do some mapping for a project that involved structural geology and I needed to use stereonet, and while looking for explanatory videos I found yours.
Your videos are great, very well explained.
I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge, thank you very much!

Most of these materials, including the plastic hemisphere, can be found at a good craft/hobby store, like Hobby Lobby.

Are you asking about the origin of stereonets? As I understand it, Schmidt (1925) initially used the Schmidt net for analysis of rock fabric. The Schmidt net is used to produce Lambert's equal-area projections (Lambert, 1772). The Wulff net, commonly used in crystallography, is an equal-angle net and gets its name from a Russian crystallographer.

you could use close caption to follow his speech. His English accent is very good and he espeaks slowly.
It's good to practice your listening.
