Its pretty reliable as long as your wifi is turned on on your phone, it wasn't working for awhile until I remembered that I had my phone set up to turn wifi off when I leave my house to conserve battery.. that was frustrating. I've also had some issues with the relationship between nexx and echo devices which is annoying but not the end of the world for me. But over all I'm pretty happy with it.
Very cool that they make a gizmo to convert opener's to WiFi. I have a couple and absolutely love them. So convenient when pulling up on the bike - especially with a gravel driveway.
That's the best.. this thing starts opening the second I pull into my ally and by the time I get to my garage door it's fully opened. No buttons to push, no apps to open, it's so great!

For 30 $ CAD or 24 USD. Buy a Sonoff wifi relay plus an extra remote. Pair them and solder 2 wires from the push button of the remote, then plug them in the output of your relay. Done. 24 $. Not 100 !
Oh anh btw, I am sure NExx is great, but it does not work with ALL door engines, and they will send you a free adapter, which is basically the same thing than the one I discribed and adds wires running everywhere around your door opener and looks like amatuer diy.

Its a tilt sensor so the app knows if the garage door is open or closed.
