Take them to small claims court and change the shipping your dealing with its not hard .
What about international?
After using your book it’s bound (get that? Lol) to be krinkly and messed up with kitchen stuff! I’ll take a damaged book!
Send the shipping company images. That damage was only done by someone other than yourself and not up to you to pay for that! You will get your money back!

If you had it delivered to a dock, then they could receive with a forklift. Truck drivers don't deliver to houses if it is skidded products because most home owners don'[t have a forklift. Or it has to be handbombed off the truck, but the truck driver is not going to wait for that, unless you pay them detention.
We secured warehouse space and I even offered to pay the fee to change the address before it was delivered but the company would not allow it because it was an extra fee to them. Trust me. We tried everything to make this as smooth as possible.
In future you should not need a forklift unless you want to unload pallets that way if you have only a few pallets. I've received many shipments of heavy pallets for many years at the business I work for and never needed a forklift. When arranging the shipping you tell them it needs to be on a truck with a lift gate. If your dealing with arranging the freight company and handling your own 3rd party shipping you tell them that and also purchase shipping insurance and find a broker. I would warn that handing your own international freight shipping requires experience and can lead to boarder delays and fees if you don't know how to navigate in that space. Also declaring a value is a misconception that it would cover any damages. You should have actual shipping insurance through a reputable freight company. Any lift gate truck will have a pump truck on board and will be able to wheel your pallet a short distance if on flat solid ground. If not you have the option to "hand bomb" the boxes from each pallet when its on the ground. We have usually 4 people hand bomb a few pallets of goods as we're trying to be quick, usually done in 10 minutes to keep the driver happy. Sorry some got damaged hopefully you can still make some money on them 🙂
Thanks for the advice. I assure we certainly did everything we could including most of your suggestions but were met with adversity every step of the way, unfortunately. I learned some expensive and valuable lessons this go around. I hope the next one is smoother!

You know it's really a shame that you don't get your products made in the usa. I will never purchase from anybody who cannot support the United States of America you get your stuff printed overseas and then you expect us to buy it? You tell us it's cheaper for you to do it that way but you're not supporting the usa. That's a bunch of BS
You buy nothing made in other countries? Your phone? Your clothes?

The books were printed from a company that two friends of mine had used for their books and they did a great job. If I had printed them in the us, I’d have to have charged double and it wouldn’t be accessible for anyone.

So thrilled to have this book! I was one of those who bought the Instant Pot on sale, then sat on it for a couple of years, intimidated and kinda afraid to use it. Last ditch effort, I went to UA-cam, found your intro videos, and the rest is history. I recently found out that an old friend is in the same state, so I got her this book for Christmas. So grateful you included all the basics - eggs, potatoes, etc. If this doesn't convince her to try it, nothing will. Just sorry you had all the trauma getting them ready. 😕

I spent today going through my book. I am so glad to have it. Thank you! The little scan codes were a nice surprise. I am making oatmeal, yogurt, and potato soup after my shopping trip.
So happy that you seem to be through the worse. I am also impressed at the effort you made to get these out to your customers so quickly. What a team effort by your family. You all should be proud! Can't wait to see the cookbook but my husband has put it away for me to open on Christmas.

My experiences with books delivered in padded envelopes via the postal service haven't been good. About half the time, the corners are damaged by poor handling and packaging.
Thankfully we tested these beforehand and they’ve held up perfectly!
