  • One of the challenges of being a live performing musician is carrying all of your music gear to gigs.
    Your goal is to make as few trips as possible from your car to the stage. In addition, you also want a gear bag that allows you to organize your music equipment and accessories (power strips, cables, mic stands, etc.).
    The new On-Stage GR9000 Gig Rider has proven to be a great option and can simplify organizing and transporting your music gear.

    Also, I want to thank Amplify 11 for sponsoring this video.
    In this video, I"'m sharing my experience of using the GR9000 Gig Rider for the first time from packing my gear into this rolling utility bag to transporting and unloading it on the stage at the venue.
    I'm loading all of my mic stands, guitar stands, instrument cables, XLR cables, power strips, and several accessories into this bag.
    I'm also taking you through two scenarios using it; one of my live solo acoustic gigs as well as hosting open mic.
    At the end, I give you some personalized tips on how to make using the on-Stage GR9000 Gig Rider even easier.
    Keep Playing Music,
    Jason

    That thing looks pretty useful. I’m always looking for easier ways to lug gear.

    keep the backups in your suitcase in the car.

      Actually this bag is big enough for all my backups as well. Less I have to worry about

    That's a cool Gig bag Jason can you get that in hard case as well?

      I’m not sure but I’d almost rather have a hang bag/case and carry the stands in a separate bag. But this bag is convenient! The best part for me was organizing my gear rather than having everything scattered in one bag

    Jason do you still like the evolve 50m, would you still recommend it to upcoming solo and duo acoustic giggers?

      Man I use it every weekend! Love it!

      @jasonstallworth thanks for your reply and insight! I guess the only thing I was concerned about was the auto gaining, as I'm used a normal mixer with preamp gain and then volume fader, but it sounds like it's working for you and everyone else! I guess EV has something special going here! You just use the built in mixer right, not an external?

    Is it about to stand upright, taut, by itself?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  2 місяці тому

      It's not really meant to stand up so you'll probably do better packing it laying it down and leaning on something

    Does it seem durable and that it will last over some time as looked a little iffy when rolling up ramp?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  2 місяці тому

      I can't speak for durability because I haven't had it long but there are pros and cons. Most of the time, I'm also carrying my system and I have a cart for all of my gear. But this works well for small gigs when you're plugging into the venues system and I'd say it's great if you have minimal gear
