    All those tropical fruits yummy!! Thats why i love to live in a country with high temperatures. Love to see more and more to learn about your country living. I would grow so many species in my own garden. I would call it Pete's FoodForrest. Thanks for sharing again Debbie and Tim.

      I'm from the Netherlands. We have extremely wet and mild winters now. But in summer we can grow a lot of food for maybe 4 or 5 months thanks to climate change... but sadly we dont get any snow or real cold anymore as we remember from our childhood. But i can live with warmer climate...@@vintagefoodfarm

    Thanks for such an informative video. We will be relocating up to the Kuranda area in a few years (and hopefully buying earlier than that so we can get started on setting it up) and you've inspired me to start on our seedlings soon, so by the time we get up there, they'll be ready to go in the ground. What a wonderful resource this is, so thanks again!

    Both of you are very good gardeners. Gardening is the best for our physical and mental well-being plus you can enjoy your fresh crops from your backyard. I learned how to graft the fruit trees from my grandfather as a boy as he was a gardener for the Phnom Penh City way back in the 60s. You're very lucky to be able to grow you own food. Happy garden and have a wonderful day 🎉

    Something worth noting for viewers is that a seedling grown Avocado won’t produce fruit for 7-12 years. A grafted Avocado from the Nursery will fruit within 2-3 years.

    • @vintagefoodfarm
      @vintagefoodfarm  8 місяців тому +2

      Possibly but I know grafted can take up to 5 years and Seed trees can be quicker so it's really about weighing up the cost of the plant. It's not about not buying grafted trees but knowing it is still very cost effective to plant seeds and an alternative if you can't afford grafted trees😊 Or you want to plant a lot.
