Hi Julian....Great job, like you said one step closer to completing. I guess you are pleased to have a simpler step this time , rather than small fiddly bits. .Regards... Mike
we have just had our first rebore on our 1929 fowler dnb compound roller so we will have to have 2 new pistons and rings so this vid ( I haven't watched yet, I about to start now) should be really interesting
Thank you, I'm not sure about that, I shall have to do a bit of homework on that and find out, if not I will do as the drawing and lock it with solder, thank you for watching 👍🏻
Hi Mike, Yes , I have some lock tight I used before, and to get the thread undone I had to really heat the item up before it would come undone, thank you for watching 👍🏻
I used a plain nut (turned to the appropriate thickness) then once fitted and tightened, centre punch the thread in 3 places to stop it unscrewing. Has held solid for 7 years now.
Hi JULIAN
Coming along nicely...
A new step to success....

Thanks for sharing 👍 Will a locknut hold up to the heat and temperature?
Thank you, I'm not sure about that, I shall have to do a bit of homework on that and find out, if not I will do as the drawing and lock it with solder, thank you for watching 👍🏻
I found lock tight retaining compound worked well on a piston and piston rod on a pride of penryhn I had. Cheers .... Mike
