Marie, you did such a wonderful interview. You are so expressive and honest. So refreshing! Hope you and your bf have a great life together with your son. Good luck with your future employment. I bet you will find a school that will appreciate you, at least I hope😁
This is possibly one of your best interviews. This young person is intelligent, charming, honest and realistic about her situation and what she wants out of life and you seemed also to be more respectful of her privacy. Well done.
Marcel, One of your best interviews and interviewees ever! Very intelligent and mature, I liked how she turned the tables on you and started interviewing you and asking what is your future plan for the next 30 years and you froze! hahaha Not an easy question is it?, but she bailed out and answered it for it you. Oh and the freedom you gave her by allowing her to look and select 2, not 1 gift shows your respect gained from the interview, nice job 😊👍👍👍👍
5:40 Always amazes me that so far 100% of time when I or I see some other foreign suggest "Why not work online" to a Filipino they completely reject the idea. Many Filipinos clearly are good in business, hard workers and will even leave family for years to work in another countries for a little more money. But the concept of starting their own online business is just not even considered. Seems nuts to me. Huge number of foreigners in PH working remotely earning 100-200k pesos a month, but Filipinos refuse to consider those same jobs. You can't even explain how, no interest. Seems to just upset them. Maybe it's the copycat culture of Asia? One member of a clan opens a sari-sari store, does well, then a bunch of other clan members open the exact same stores. Same with dating foreigners. Many times why? "Because my Aunt married a foreigner and it was good" so a bunch of women in the clan then want a foreigner. Work in a call center...then everyone wants to.
OMG 💥 Marcel, it was the best interview you done and the smartest person you shoot (ok, to be fair, there was already one very smart teacher before). (You missed one question - when she said that they must be something in the middle open/conservative to make their parents happy. -- WHAT? she does not speak about such thinks with her partner, but she does to her parents?? 🤣) But it was little bit sad interview. In my country BPO are the worst possible jobs (someone call them not call centre but "concentre"from Nazi concentration camp during WW2). And Philippines loosing these smart and inteligent people leaving schools, while education is the only way from poverty.
I think "family oriented" just might be code for not earning enough to meet your needs. I don't get why as soon as you graduate school (or earlier) suddenly the parents are in retirement and expect, not appreciate, but expect the children to support them. Here in USA you are expected to support yourself, not every niece and uncle. That forces the kid to stay in poverty regardless of their income. And to think you owe someone because they bought you some flipflops when you were 6 years old for the rest of your life is worse than prison rules and loansharks. So no matter how hard you work, how much you make, the incentive is gone. And if you are going to support everyone, then why should they have to work too? This is the flaw with Communism.
Not all Filipino families are like that. But even if they are the man has to make choice to do or put foot down on that and put in check. My woman is Filipina and we do help the parents every now and then like $100 but It isn't all the time and I would do same for my parents. That being said never send money to every aunt, uncle, cousin, neice, nephew. Men need to know when to say no and don't let themselves get taken advantage of.
because some are so poor so they can effort for example only one kid to be educated. So when the eldest starts earning money, he can support his siblings in best case to be educated too. But more often only to survive. And the same with parents. Also there is not enough jobs for all people, so many have no income at all. So this is exactly what this young woman described - more generations live together and relies on each other. So it is definitely not ridiculous, it is only to survive. (Of course there are horrible families abusing kids to give them more money than they actually need.)
And its working soooo well for the Phillippines 😂...keep giving it away so you have nothing to build on to create longterm wealth....poverty mindset never changes
Marie is exactly the kind of woman I need in my life.

Charming, intelligent and beautiful woman.
Agree 👍
I like where this channel is going with the 80s synthwave. It's really harmonizing. I also appreciate gifts as a respect to their time
She is lovely and smart

if 30.000 is not enough to support your family then they are scamming you.
I think she means that 30k isn't enough to support her family needs, plus the family members in her province
You are smart please don't get married.😅

Lol it’s funny when you try makes fun of the girls English when your English is not so good🤣😂 Another ok video man.
Nice, but 27 is too young for me.
WHY are Fillipinas guilted into supporting their families?..it is ridiculous
