I am 62 years old and only discovered this band recently. They are magnificent with an unbelievable front man. I could watch this guy all night!!!
I'm 59 and discovered them a few years ago whilst working abroad in Canada. A song was playing in a bar and I managed to catch it with Shazam. Got tickets to see them in Southampton, UK, in two weeks. Should be a good night.
Saw them at glastonbury 2015 blew my mind with seasons

Great band, love the lead singer's performance..doesn't give a shit. Its almost like he is taking the piss out of cool..fuck cool because it limits you. This is all about the music and being yourself. Love it! :)

My thoughts entirely. Echoes of Waits in his voice - which I love - and the movement is spell-binding. Can't stop watching this, and Dream of You and Me and Seasons. So unique. Brilliant. Best thing I've seen and heard in yonks.

I found this band when spotify suggested this song and i got hooked. The fact that bands can escape your attention for 10 years is sad.
He has a truly astounding voice. And his performance is so infectious and so heartfelt. No BS, no pretentiousness - just in-the-moment liberation. Quite a rare thing in this day and age. Can u imagine what Simon Cowell would make of it? The talentless hack! I really need a karaoke session with some Future Islands material!!!!

bigChris1 Expand there sound hopefully over time as in some songs Samuel T Herring carries them a bit to much as I agree the mans vocals are genius and I love the overall sound they are very close to being modern day legends.

I got shown this band in class a couple days ago, their performance of Seasons on Jools. I was enthralled, what an amazing man Samuel is, I just want to meet him and ask him where does he pull this emotion from, this passion, this unfiltered raw, powerful sincerity. This is why I always root for singers who write their own music, because when they perform it they're living their truth, love.

Great performance, you can't deny they have a unique sound which is different to most bands out there today, but this is why I like them so much, as for the dodgy dancing, yes he may look like a demented chicken but it gets him noticed and certainly gets people talking. So at the end of the day I guess he can say "job done".

I love them. I am always fascinated by Sam Herring's performances, his vocals are unique, can't take my eyes off him. The band also provide a solid performance they are excellent musicians. So glad Jools got them on.

I saw them on one of our national tv channels yesterday. It was a live transmission from Skanderborg Festival 2015 here in Denmark. I was at least 25 degrees outside and he was jumping and dancing around for almost 2 hours. What a concert. I loved it. My new favorite band.

These guys have stuck in my mind for weeks, a great sound and performance. The singer would look great doing that dance routine in a straight jacket to an appropriate song, that would make a Legend.

Been a fan of theirs for 4 years now and I always come back to this performance. When I heard them first I listened to everything they'd ever done and introduced them to so many people. No matter what, people are always so surprised that music is still that good these days, and that as a band they put on some show. For me they are the best band of this century so far and they're loved by people of all ages in all countries.
