To share my experience, I sliced my hand with a sheet of stainless steel between my index and thumb. Immediately I noticed the blood was extremely dark, and it was flowing slowly but steadily. It kept bleeding for about an hour, and my arm began to feel cold. Luckily my cut was about an inch wide, so I just went and got my tetanus shot, cleaned the area and wrapped it up with some pressure. Hasn't produced bruises or inflammation and it doesn't hurt after 1 day.
The guy in the flannel is easily one of the best actors I've ever seen.
