Because I'm a boy, I'm not allowed to say what happened to me was rape. Not because it would ruin my "masculinity", but because nobody would care, nobody would believe. I feel violated, numb,and disgusted each time I look into the mirror. I Thank you for sharing this story, it lets me know that I'm not alone.

Thank you for sharing. I know two men who were raped. One was raped by a woman and when he tried to talk about what happened to him he was accused of being the perpetrator, and is now forced to pay child support. Even though they found that he had been drugged, and that there were witnesses to the event that corroborate him. The other's story is much like yours, and he had never told anyone about it before me. I hope more men like yourselves are brave enough to come forward, and that more people are willing to listen.

I'm sorry you were raped. I was too. I became a domestic violence advocate for a while because of it. Like you, I needed to help people. Thank you for sharing your experience with me and everyone else who watched your video. You're voice should be heard. Your words are important. There aren't many advocates for men who experience sexual assault and domestic violence. Statistics show the group with highest increase recently in sexual assault is young men and that number is actually believed to be much larger because of so many unreported cases. Victimization and abuse have got to stop and proper care and recovery is needed for everyone. Healing from this kind of trauma is so difficult and the effect it has on people touches every area of their lives. People really just don't get it.
Thanks for sharing and taking a brave stand against rapists, I did not report my rape because of negative criticism, time heals, but I still remember how psychologically humiliated I felt after, that never goes away.

Thank you. I have been dealing with this for 16 years without saying anything. I thought I was doing ok with being called the emotionless, heartless arsehole who just doesn't react to anything, who everyone goes to as he knows the right answers .. until a 17 year old boy confided in me about what he had been through... and now haven't thought about anything but this night since... the nightmares everything coming back.

I’m here after that traumatic 13 Reasons Why season 2 finale, need to know as much as I can about male rape because these issues can’t be taken lightly. It’s something that hopefully will spark a debate among everyone so that no one will have to feel ashamed in dealing with this situation.

This is a progressive video. All victims need to gain courage and self-love to tell what had happened. Unfortunately, when videos are posted about female rape survivors, the comments are toxic and demeaning towards the victim. Reading this - if you ever have watched a women about women's experiences as a victim, do not demean her, blame her, or threaten her. For whatever reasons you have, do not. Solve what is truly bothering you, because hurting others is nt the solution.
The whole subject of rape is very interesting to follow. In the U.S. armed services, a huge amount of attention is focused on male on female rapes. What army brass, as well as high government refuses to acknowledge is that there is much more 'm on m' rape than 'm on f' rape in the armed services. Senator Kristen Gillibrand (D - NY) has been working on this issue for quite some time.
