      Big mistake because they die quicker when they hit the lake water, I have tried that.

      Does not work good enough to hold good enough to catch them that’s why.

    Hey Steve what size minnow hooks do you use.

      #4 wire hook.

    • @angelasheppard7197

      @@theoldfisherman2040 have you ever tried circle hooks or would they not be good in this type fishing?

    • @theoldfisherman2040
      @theoldfisherman2040  2 роки тому

      It’s best to use a wire hook went fishing with live bait, the less the hook weighs the better the minnow can swim

    I need to learn to be more patient especially in the summertime when fishing for crappie. That’s one thing your teaching me. They definitely act and bite differently from season to season. Great video ! One other thing I learned watching this video, “you can’t catch ‘em on credit!” 😂Keep on keeping on Old Fisherman! You gotta love it!

    Another great video,
    In your area , with the heat do you prefer mornings or evenings for your fishing trips.
    Stay hydrated my friend, and also do you notice a difference in taste of fish caught in warm water vs. cool .
    Thank you
    For your hard work
