Thanks for the videos. I appreciate them. I do struggle with the music in the background, though. It’s extremely distracting while I’m trying to focus and learn the content.

Hi there. Thank you for your comment! And yes, Slavic languages share some many similarities. And Slovak language specially is one of the most understood among them.
These videos are a great introduction to Slovak. I just haven't had the chance to study them all. I got a general question about etymology(-ies) of Slovak, though. I'm finding more lexical discrepancies between Slovak and Russian than I expected. Case in point: vývojár. It differs from Russian as well as Germanic languages. I looked up and it's also too different from Hungarian. What other etymological sources are prevalent in Slovak? Thank you in advance.
Thank you very much for your comment! We are very happy you find our videos useful! The word you mentioned seems to come from a Proto-Slavic form (*vī́tī). Apart from German, Russian and Hungarian, we can add Latin as a very influential language in the Slovak vocabulary. Keep practicing Slovak! :)
You are very happy you enjoyed the video! Continue practicing with other of our video. It seems we can't find the exercises document. We will create a listening practice soon. :)
When you give the example of "D' as child/child and "T" as body/embodiment, which is pronounced softly, like "ď " and "ť ", isn't it the happiest choice of words? Slovak is emotional and singing and creative and harmonious and sensible language. Can it express everything. Or is there something missing? That is why it has the longest alphabet 46, compared to the Latin alphabet 23 and 64 has a checkerboard. And is the root of Slavic languages. 1,000 years ago, the New Testament was written in it. At that time, there were no other European languages.
Hey, I dont want to criticize, its a nice video, but maybe it will help somebody. First thing I came across was a letter D. You used a word detský, which actually pronounces like ďetský, so really bad example and the translation is childish, not children. (sorry, I mean it in a good way and thanks for the useful video ! :) )
Keď dáte príklad "D' ako detsko/detský a "T" ako telo/stelesnenie, čo sa vyslovuje mäkko, ako "ď " a "ť ", nie je to najštastnejšia voľba slova? Slovenčina je citový a spevavý a tvorivý a harmonický a rozumný jazyk. Dá sa v ňom vyjadriť všetko. Alebo je niečo, čo mu chýba? Preto má najdlhšiu abecedu 46, v porovnani s latinskou abecedou 23 a 64 má šachovnica. A je koreňom slovanských jazykoch. Pred 1 000 rokmi bolo v ňom napísaný Nový Zákon. Vtedy, ešte neexistovali iné Eúropské jazyky.
