Both of my parents played vanilla. I was in first grade when TBC came out, so I don't remember much about vanilla, but I am excited for classic servers. My mom and I still play WoW today (my dad passed away in 2011.) What I do remember was running the gnome warlock you see in my profile picture all the way to Westfall at level 10, barely escaping orange mobs in Moonbrook, and dying to a bunch of level 18-20 murlocs at Longshore. I remember telling Mom "Um, Punka fell over on a beach, I hit a button, and everything turned gray." I was about 5 or 6, just running around Stormwind and wherever I could take a gryphon to back then, but now I'm 18 and know how to use my various abilities, and I am eager to forge my own classic destiny, just as my parents did.
I think I dinged 60 with my mage still wearing the Scarlet Monastery priest hat from level 30 or so... Ah, the times. I also had the staff from the witchdoctor questline in Feralas.
There IS an addon that gives you a very primitive version of the modern map marker but as I said, it's primitive and you can't really rely on it that well.
The thing that excites me the most about classic WoW is the leveling. It's a journey and not everyone is going to make it. You are going to get killed, ganked, wipe in dungeons and from quest mobs! It's a dangerous world where you have to prepare before you engage the enemy. Pull to much and you better pull back. After that sit down and eat some to regain your health. Whats that? A rogue? Guess I'll die. (STV gives me PTSD though) The end game is cool and all but I'd say it's a huge grind while leveling is constent progress. Every item counts, every silver coin counts, every person you meet on your way counts! Most importantly you talk with people and the world. You are going to build friendships, travel across the world to dungeons, sit in a major city and look for that damn tank. I love it all.
Vanilla survival tips? Just wait for Bellular to post 400 videos on every aspect of the game on the week before Classic launches. On a serious note, Im excited for Classic mainly for professions. I love making my own gear and progressing my own character. I tried it on live before 7.3.5, but everything died too fast. Now 7.3.5 came and I havent tried doing a leveling challenge with crafted gear because Im prepping for BfA. So I cant wait for Classic.
well it isn't nearly as bad as before the revamp of levelling. I cancelled my account waiting for BfA as well, since I will be levelling WAY too many characters anyway. Still, I gave it a shot and it is really fun! You actually EXPERIENCE the zone stories! Feels like this should have been done ages ago.

I actually just started playing, largely through your influence Nixxiom (and love of the lore that just got too strong) and I’m having a blast with my little lvl 13 dwarf paladin. I’m just grinding through your content right now and I gotta say it’s all very well done, and it makes my days go by so much faster. Keep up the great work, and thanks for all the advice, stories, etc.
While it might seem tedious at first, simply looking up white items on Classic.db and seeing what they are useful for will be a great help. Especially if later down the line there's something you loot which might be useful for the profession(s) you're levelling up. I've made the mistake before of either vendoring something which I need later on, or putting it on AH despite it being a reagent for an item within my own profession.
Yep, guilty of this mistake too. Especially while improving cooking. I thought a lot of the meats were useless because the cooking trainer didn't have any recipes for it. Turns out that a bunch of recipes are scattered around the world on various vendors. :^)
LOVE what you said Nixxiom! Excellent tips. I played Classic WOW back in the day and I learned to do just what you said and you know what? I play WOW today following that mentality and I never regret it. I get maximum enjoyment of the game even as a casual player that way. If time permits for you, PLEASE make more videos with more tips on interesting quest lines, lore content, good drops etc.
Fishing & Cooking - level it as you level. During classic and burning crusade, I leveled a dozen characters to max, and for some stupid reason I always forgot to level up my cooking until I maxed out then I had to spend a ton of gold buying stuff and flying all over the world to level it up just so I could have a few extra stats in raids or dungeons. Not to mention every expansion, they add exciting new stuff to these two professions in particular that will make you glad you took the time to get them up. For WoW classic, take the extra bit of time and level them up, you'll most likely be one of the few people you know on a wow classic server that's able to make some fancy raid food that can only be made with certain rare fish that can only be fished up with max fishing skill. Trust me, don't ignore these two understated professions!
In a forest of speed leveling videos, your tip nr 1. shines like a star! I agree fully, and I am so looking forward to Classic. Havent played more than on and off for the last, i dont know how many, years. Keep it up!
Great vid, Nix. One more tip if I may: Roll two characters at once because you WILL get camped. Hop to your second toon and play him for 10 mins then by then the camper got bored and left.
Bitch i had my epic Bloodrazor and Dragon's Call on my rogue until lvl 60. -.- If you haven't played back then, you have NO NOO NOOO idea what gold and gear really meant.
Oh man when you talked about using professions i got flashbacks to creating myself some awesome weapons 13 years ago. This was some serious nostalgia. I am so hyped right now
Im eager to find out if classic wow is really awesome or if justs a nostalgia trip for "veterans". Everytime I hear someone talk about classic wow, what comes forward is the feeling of wonder and discovery and if u played classic wow before you will NOT get that feeling again. Thats a a feeling u only get "once in a lifetime" when u boot a new game for the first time, you are a noob and you lose yourself in it for months. I feel that a lot of people will be disappointed and lost for not getting that feeling again. Thanks for the tips, cant wait to try classic out.
ptSalped Nostalgia trip.Nostalgia is enemy for progress,Game progressed and evolved but small loud minority of veterans simply did not.Personally i will troll newbies.
@@MetalliCxZero you know what you wrote again i saw 14 years ago i say sub numbs are reaching records by every day who is right and who is not and it is since you have no clue how it works in wow neither in different mmorpgs.
Weapon skill and defence skill is important at level 60 for raiding was 540 that's why as a warrior I'll be doing the same way of increasing my defence on boars which will make leveling easier and faster later on. Oh remembered if on the alliance side if the two boys in stormwind say about seeing a big Croc in the canel be aware as its level 50 and if you pass it as a low level you will die. 😉
Good and important Video for the folks out there lost a lot of friends who was just like imma speed lvl and then they get bored and stopped playing When you read the quests story behind it enjoy your character and have a bit of fantasy you’re on a good way to enjoy leveling including all the stuff in this video here
My NR.1 tip is: Don´t use an endgame talent build for lvling, it is really bad on most classes to do that! Shaman should lvl as Enhancement for example else you need much more gold (pots), time and it´s a pain in the ass in general! Just look up good lvling builds online, it is worth the time looking into for a smooth questing, dungeon and pvp experience!
Weirdest thing about Gold in Vanilla wow was how worthless it was. It was classified as a green item in bar and ore form, but I couldn't shift it at ALL.
This is what made the community what it was and why so many ppl have those rose colored glasses on when they reminisce about how great the game used to be....and what made part of the game die when they introduced LFG/XRealm/LFR stuff. If you still had to rely on your reputation in the game today like it was in early days, there would be far less trolling and toxicity than there is today. I still love WoW, but it lost a lot when those things were introduced.
Oh man I can tell you didn't spend any time in Vanilla. Just at your last line I know. There really wasn't an "insignificant low dungeon". Everything had something that somebody wanted. 60's would farm, or get payed to carry people through class quests in dungeons. Blacklists were a very real, and very significant part of all the guilds that were actually doing something. My GL had a black list of 40 people in an excel file to put up when we were raiding or going to BG or w/e. Very very few times did anyone ever leave, or waste time. Because the gear was worth it, and the rep was beyond necessary, and you didn't want to be the server idiot. I'd post and spend 10-15 minutes for a group, which by the way is less than the average time for an LFR or LFD que, and we were smart enough to know how to place people at summoning stones to make it a fast experience. Classic really was the highlight of ALL mmo's with every aspect.
I'm so glad you placed this out, the 5 tips are very helpful. But folks do learn your secondary professions too. Cooking, first aide and fishing . Some of these are great to have for recovering after a fight or battle, and making more gold. I had more than enough gold for my lessons, mounts, ect . I did not have to wait. Just because I fished, and sold those on the A.H. Sell items Have fun everyone! I loved Vanilla when I played, even as a shadow priest. There is nothing like the feel of getting to 40 and getting that mount, it was wonderful.
I think you are missing a big part about surviving classic. Playing with your friends, and play with real life friends. Nixxiom, I am putting a prelaunch server group to gather friends to now. I think it would help you, and your fans to join this group. Check out on discord, or on the blizzard battlenet social tab. discord.gg/Q5wWZa9 blizzard.com/invite/7eYRGTkjY I am managing the group myself, for no reason but to play with all of my friends on the best server ever.
everyone gets raped in STV, alliance and horde, one minute you're surrounded by a bunch of friendly alliance players next minute your subject to a 6 man horde spit roast.
You forgot the most important part! "If you die, delete character" the harshest and most thrilling rule! It makes every fight increasingly intense, allthough you probably won't be raiding with this Ironman challenge character any time soon... unless you're a god.
Professions have a lot of value endgame as well. There's pre raid gear you'll need to get in order to do raids, and some of the items on the lists are in professions (Devilsaur set is pre raid BiS for Hunters, Rogue's and Fury Warriors). They also have a few items that are better than some of the raid gear you'll get (Hide or the Wild is one example). Edit: Not to mention the consumables from Alchemy.
I have a video request? I’ll be a brand new player to WoW Classic. I’d love to be educated about the classes from 1.12! I’d love to know what makes each class special, as well as their pros/cons related to specific pieces of content (such as PvP / PvE). That way players like me can pick their class from day 1! Thanks if you or anyone posts this :)
Great vid, man. I had forgotten about the faction restrictions on pvp servers. Also, #5 is so important considering all of your spells and abilities have prices attached to them!
I just started playing Vanilla on a private server and so far I've been following all these tips before having even watched the video! Undead Warlock is so fun especially since I don't have to worry about that mount price :)
You are so right about taking your time to level. My attitude when playing WOW when it was first released back in 04 was to take it slow and enjoy the ride. To use an old cliche if I may... It's about the journey, not the destination. I'm not lying or exaggerating when I tell you the grief I used to get from my friends because they'd be questing in like 2 or 3 zones ahead of me and I'd still be in the starter zone. They'd be like " Dude why are you still in that zone, it's too low for your level. It's gonna take you forever to reach 60." My feeling was that I wanted to experience every quest and see every once of a zone before I left it. So I got left behind while my friends power leveled their way to 60. But everytime I brought up how fun a certain quest or a certain area was they'd be like "Oh yeah we didn't bother with that one." Where's the fun in that? Just my opinion. Thanks and God bless.
Might be much, building on the modern tech with only the content being from classic also means that cross realm tech might be in the "new classic" for example.
1) They Can be 2) Blizzard announcement was made 5 days ago, 4 days when this vidéo was posted. So it's not that much (although he could have inserted a little notification/link to Blizzard's update)
Im muslim people like you only spread hate its a shame. Hope u have a good day mate I would like to change your mind however as mark twain said “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” Take care
I know that this video is a little old. But hey, I like coming back to these. I really liked the fact he mentioned to 'Take your time'. SO MANY people rush and skip the good meaty content to just hit max level. Completely missing all the story, lore, character stories, ect. Then complain the game is empty and boring. I took a 5 month break from w.o.w cause I was playing retail and got burnt out with shadow lands. I just couldn't keep up with all the people who would stay up all night cause they didn't have a job, or they worked from home and had a easier schedule and could play at home. I exhausted myself mentally and emotionally from the game. Classic brought me back. It has helped me learn to relax, enjoy the game, look at my environment, be humble when I die. Be patient with all the freaking walking! lol.. How to save money as well. I love the leveling experience so much more now. It can be a little drawn out at times. It can feel a little slow sometimes. Arduous even. But when you complete that quest, or earn that level, or get that loot. It is SO much more satisfying!
Yep... still remember most of this stuff. Still miss the class quests and miss the community that formed on the server. Miss actually recognising people I meet. I haven't played WoW for a couple of years (since approx. the middle of MoP). But if Blizzards don't fuck this up, I'l gladly return to play some Classic. Don't miss having to pay for learning skills though... I also wonder how many newer players will want to try it out and then get turned off by the 'old-schoolness' and difficulty.
To the class quest admonition I'd also add that, back in the day, some of the professions also had particular quests. I remember collecting a buttload of ore for blacksmithing just to learn some new recipes. I think it also had something to do with a "faction" called the Mithril Order, or some such name. Perhaps not as fun as some of the class quests, but still satisfying when you learn a nice recipe. Back then a rogue's lockpicking was also a profession, and it had a class/profession quest attached to it. Oo, oo! Ravenholdt Manor will be useful again!!
This video made me realize how much of my WoW play style is basically a holdover from Vanilla, from picking up literally everything even if it's worth only coppers when vendored, to taking my time when levelling, and grinding out my professions as I level. Heck somewhere deep down, the sight of an elite mob still makes me feel uneasy. It's going to be interesting to see if I still know the noble art of running tf away from the big stompy things.
I can't wait until Classic, I started playing during TBC and still loved it but I played a vanilla server and it was just something about the game that was so charming to me.
No Blood Elves either. Orgimmar will be less pretty, and Silvermoon....is not there. And, unless they use newer models, the Trolls and Orcs won't look as good as they do now.
I still follow these tenets. Then again, I began playing WoW during the first major expansion (Burning Crusade) so what you described as suggestions were the best way to play the game. Even with all the changes this past decade, I still prefer to play the game this way. Of the five, the one I embrace most to heart and suggest to any player--take your time. One misses SO much while rushing. Just today, up in Hillsbrad on one of the nazes I found a rare I'd not before seen. She perched at the tip of the naze overlooking the valley. A marvelous creature whom I myself would never slay as she was surrounded by babies. Had I been rushing through the area, I'd have missed her. And that's just today's example. I explore, I mosey, I peer into corners. One sees and discovers so much! Oh, and in classic WoW? Pretty much can't rush. My husband spent HOURS (a day?) just trying to find Bingles.
Too bad we cant have 1st experiences twice, Classic will be so easy - players won't struggle, we have been drinking the same content for 1.5 decades almost. We know the locations of all quests by memory alone, leveling will be 10 times as efficient than when we played during vanilla. We know how to progress with gear, we know how to counter PvP. The nostalgia will last for 5 min in Barrens then End game is within our grasp in a very short moment!
Silversurfer i think you forget that azeroth was redone in cata, that includes the quests abd dungeons. If anything many players are going to have mental breakdowns at how hard it is.
And dont forget the famous "most difficult raids in wow history" will be cleared first week if not first day. Maybe with some exceptions where time gates are concerned. @Cho "many players are going to have mental breakdowns at how hard it is" You are not talking about vanilla WoW, are you? If you do, what are you on and where can I get some?
Yep then they will realize something. These classic fanbois most of them are doing lfr rhc rbg nothing ranked not arenas not rates bgs no m+ push not even normal raiding because it is not comparable with difficulty back then it was interesting nowdays it is f... Joke rhc,rbg even f.. lfr is more difficult then raids back then where what matters is only if you have gear at max and if you have all elixirs, potions, buffs, food, scroll practically if you are as prepared as you can then you go in and start watching serials/twitch/youtube during fights, not rated bgs,not arenas, etc ...WILL TROLL NEWBIES like never before come guys such trollfest it will be.
> we have been drinking the same content for 1.5 decades almost > The nostalgia will last for 5 min so far nostalgia lasts for 1,5 decades tho and it isn't the only thing that makes people want to play it for 1,5 decades
I love the leveling on every level. The cooking profession saved my butt a few times. N the archeological professions is fun too cuz u bump into more quests along the way😁 so that’s a WIN!
Point 3 will never happen, because there are now other People and we have another time. A lot of people will dont care and just want to be lvl 60 and Raid. Im sorry Nixxiom, but it is not the game that makes a community , the People make a community.
rick dawkins actually no, the big popular private servers didn't have exp boost, nostalrius elysium and kronos didnt have exp boost and those 3 were the biggest vanilla private servers. They were 100% like vanilla with less bugs
I never had chance to play in Vanilla, I started at the beggining of Cataclysm so I have little to no idea how vanilla may look like but heck I'm interested to try it out. i watched quite a bit of videos and opinions and stuff and the hype is real! Can't wait to try those tips out.
3) Ancestrialtig was the hunter on Frostwhisper Horde EU who wore BoE epic equipment. The rumour was that he worked a long hour job and had a family, so he never had time to play, so he, used his worldly wealth to empower in Azerothian character. But he'd only idle in Orgrammar.
Nothing was as cool as trekking (on foot!) across the world as a warlock to get a new summon. I recall playing my human warlock and having to hump my ass all the way to Ashenvale, the Barrens, and then Dark Shore, and back to Stormwind for the succubus quest. It was epic, it look a long time, and I fucking loved it.
One good tip I think for Classic is finish a zone then do the Dungeon at the end of the zone. even if you out level it its worth doing all the content and will be a good way to socialize and meet people
I remember there being a rare spawn Naga in the ocean off shore at- or near the border between The Wetlands and Arathi Highlands that gives a trinket that gives you a stun ability. Since trinkets are rare as hell, that one is pretty great during leveling.
Thank you for mentioning rep. Ninja loot and having a server rep was really a thing. my mage was famous for her portal business and ninjas were a real issue
For someone whom joined at the start of wrath, I cant wait for the classic, experience the leveling, the old raids, the community and even the summoning stone, I cant wait :D
The professions one is certainly true. I didn't start 'til Wrath but my hunter benefited immensely from making my own ammunition and guns with Engineering.
I was once kind of known the Scope Guy of alliance on Azjol Nerub. It was 2005, when things were undoubtedly slower, and I first used the very basic tactic of drowning AH for Sniper Scope and one of its core ingredients, Star Ruby. I was obviously going around farming the thorium mines, which brought Star Ruby to me additionally, and anything ele not used up by people, getting on AH was extremely cheap because everyone wanted to sell them, they were not that much useful except for the Scope. Before long, like 3-4 weeks, people started whispering me up, and only my listings were on AH for fixed price. I remember I even did some funny "outcalls" for rogues who has been ganking at Hammerfall, world PvP-ing, and I attached the scope to their buff stick bows behind a hillside... :D
Great video and thank you for the tips! I look forward to playingClassic. I started playing in BC days, which I guess is like Classic, only more polished lol. Anyway, I rolled a hunter and picked up mining and skinning. I was so happy I went the gathering route. Yeah it still took a while to get gold for my epic riding mount, but I feel it wasn’t too bad cuz I sold so much ore and ingots and hides for good money. I may go this route again just for the nostalgia feels.
I remember when I was lvling a druid back in the day, that I got my Bear Form class quest which send me to Moonglade where I had to talk to a bear spirit if I remember it correctly, that felt so cool cause although it wasnt hard at all it still felt like you achieved something, I kind of miss it that druids dont have to do those quests anymore :-(

Getting a green at lvl 10 feels better than getting an epic at 110
phantasmo9998 this comment 👍
You know you're set for anything when yoh get your first green weapon lol
Especially getting TWO greens in a row. That happened to me once. Luckiest gnome rogue on that day.
I thought 2 greens in a row is only a myth lol
João Baptista I guess that's equal to getting titanforged at lvl 10.
Of course Blizzard decides to release Classic news RIGHT AFTER we record/edit this video. Not that I'm cpmplaining!
(read with Moocluck's voice) Oh Nixxiom, do you live under a rock?
Blizz waited the right time so they can troll you for drawing .... sausages... on Malfuiron's face
Was about to talk about that :)
what's the new?
Gomolynai Ojnikong Classic will be based on the vanilla Patch 1.12
I can't wait to play a DK Worgen on this new vanilla WoW.
omg the hype
lolol b11 monk
NOOB worgen is a tbc class
Pfffft dh all the way.
Maggie it was a joke
Maggie we are happy there are no dhs, dks and worgens in vanilla don't worry.
I think I dinged 60 with my mage still wearing the Scarlet Monastery priest hat from level 30 or so... Ah, the times. I also had the staff from the witchdoctor questline in Feralas.
I haven't played WoW in about 3 years but I still watch every Nixxiom video
Remember to read the QUEST TEXT!! Or you never gonna find shit while trying to quest. Classic had no map markers n shit xD
There IS an addon that gives you a very primitive version of the modern map marker but as I said, it's primitive and you can't really rely on it that well.
Or just get an addon that shows quest locations
Questie?
Atlas Quest I think is another one
haha! At this point there are so many vets to this game we know where everything is in every zone xD

Even though I’m extremely well versed in vanilla wow and have been playing it for years, these videos are still enjoyable! Keep em coming!
To this day, I still remember seeing that dude Stretchnutz jumping down the road in Hillsbrad Foothills.

In my bed.
On top of Orgrimmar bank.
Ask green pickles he nows where she is
Just wait until some noob asks this for real in the game. No, seriously guys, where is she?

Gear.. whoa.. I thin I remember my first Main got his very first pair of shoulders with level 20 or something. And they were grey quality!

I was always invited to raids because I liked summoning people
(as Warlock)
it was as simple as that
Kekkus Vult People love you now too I guess. Locks are a big thing now where everything goes fast as heck. Especially in pugs.
I was quite lucky cause the guild I was in at the time decided they want a feral bear specced innervate bot...Ended up quite well really^^
Woah, you can always main a pally like I did and get your 60 mount from a quest at the low low cost of your 1st born...miss u Jimmy
Assume anything can kill you even 1 to 1. Run anytime you pull more then 1 mob. Rinse and Repeat these 2 until doomsday :).
Nothing like trying to pull a single murloc then hearing the triple gurgle of death.
In a forest of speed leveling videos, your tip nr 1. shines like a star! I agree fully, and I am so looking forward to Classic. Havent played more than on and off for the last, i dont know how many, years. Keep it up!
Good point on the looting, it's become a habit for anyone that played vanilla/tbc.
Great vid, Nix. One more tip if I may: Roll two characters at once because you WILL get camped. Hop to your second toon and play him for 10 mins then by then the camper got bored and left.
"Wearing the same set of pants for 12 levels: - you should really change every day mate.
quite funny this one
Matthew Burroughs oooh ahh oh ah
Bitch i had my epic Bloodrazor and Dragon's Call on my rogue until lvl 60. -.-
If you haven't played back then, you have NO NOO NOOO idea what gold and gear really meant.
You can wear the same pair of pants for a while, it's the underwear you need to change daily.
I had the same gray pants on from 1-60. Durability was pretty low by the end of it, even the vendor wouldn't touch them by that point.
Oh man when you talked about using professions i got flashbacks to creating myself some awesome weapons 13 years ago. This was some serious nostalgia. I am so hyped right now
Man I sure do hope they have pet battles too in Classic WoW
hirumaredx ye ye we all know that is your fav event
oh boy, I hope for panda's too.
If you want battle pets just go play Legion. no changes
I hope they have Lilian Voss too or there will be totally no reason to play
*this comment was sarcastic for christs sake!*
Nixxiom, i've been watching your videos on and off for a while now. You deserve a sub!
@@Swordart2022 sub count is constantly reaching new lows but yeah its just a loud minority who's complaining about the game's progression
@@MetalliCxZero you know what you wrote again i saw 14 years ago i say sub numbs are reaching records by every day who is right and who is not and it is since you have no clue how it works in wow neither in different mmorpgs.
@@Swordart2022 lmao you can say what you want about sub numbers but they were highest in wrath and have trended downward ever since.
The reputation bit got me. Remembering so much I had forgotten and I am only just now Feeling that this thing is coming back.
1# Tip. Don't die.
thats literally not possible in classic. the game is waaaaaay harder than current "im a terminator" wow
Kingtot Nope, #1 get used to the fact that you're going to spend a lot of time as a ghost running long distances to get your corpse.
Primalxbeast
That's why Nelf master race
Weirdo nelf can't shadowmeld out of combat in vanilla 😉
I think he meant the increased move speed when dead
I'm so glad you're making videos again dude!
I'm excited for the crossroad raids to come back 😂😂
Best wpvp memory's there
Don't make me get my main
and ashenvale world pvp
Good and important Video for the folks out there lost a lot of friends who was just like imma speed lvl and then they get bored and stopped playing When you read the quests story behind it enjoy your character and have a bit of fantasy you’re on a good way to enjoy leveling including all the stuff in this video here
Did you record this before the dev water-cooler came out
This the best "5 tips for Calssic video" ever. Good Job man!
I mean, warriors can easily do it. As long as you don't go full prot, it doesn't matter what you do while leveling.
Yes please I’d love another info video! I was little when I first started playing wow back in BC, I think villa would be fun!
Weirdest thing about Gold in Vanilla wow was how worthless it was. It was classified as a green item in bar and ore form, but I couldn't shift it at ALL.
Yeah, how the heck does a bar of Gold vendor-sell for only 6 silver. Explain that!
It must be one tiny tiny bar to not even be 1/10th of a gold coin.
Ahhh nixxiom, your wow videos are the best. Don’t ever stop doing you man you da best🔥
I would stay out of strangethorn vale
I think you are missing a big part about surviving classic. Playing with your friends, and play with real life friends. Nixxiom, I am putting a prelaunch server group to gather friends to now. I think it would help you, and your fans to join this group. Check out on discord, or on the blizzard battlenet social tab. discord.gg/Q5wWZa9 blizzard.com/invite/7eYRGTkjY I am managing the group myself, for no reason but to play with all of my friends on the best server ever.
I'd said avoid STV if are alliance. don't know if it's universal or not but Lightbringer got raped by horde 24/7
everyone gets raped in STV, alliance and horde, one minute you're surrounded by a bunch of friendly alliance players next minute your subject to a 6 man horde spit roast.
you mean stranglethorn vietnam?
You mean Vietnam?
#1 is the best advice you could give someone beginning vanilla WoW for the first time in this day and age of gaming. Great video, Nixxiom!
Classic Ironman Challange.
No using Talent Points, No Class Quests, No crafting proficiency , only white and grey Items!
Anything I missed?
You missed "On PvP server"
Thats how I play anyways a-a-a-a-a-a-a-
that sounds like a fucking titanium man challenge
You forgot the most important part! "If you die, delete character" the harshest and most thrilling rule! It makes every fight increasingly intense, allthough you probably won't be raiding with this Ironman challenge character any time soon... unless you're a god.
Survive 5 minutes?
loved that 5th point. I went to auction hause every time possible even to check if someone was selling something under its value so i could resell it.
Before starting Classic WoW, play Warcraft 3 if you still haven't :)
Voolcan for Lore nerds
I own warcraft 3 its awesome
Warlock, warrior, rogue, mage - you will not go wrong
This was nice. Hope to see more classic videos in the future.
Sounds like you have a head cold. Get well soon 😚
You're a legend mate, cheers for the constant content!
why does you in-game camera seem to look different?
Great vid, man. I had forgotten about the faction restrictions on pvp servers. Also, #5 is so important considering all of your spells and abilities have prices attached to them!
My tip after hitting 60 in a legacy realm is that if you gonna go Alliance STAY OUT OF STV it's not worth the cancer
but muh pvp gank experience
it is worth it. stv is the best.
Dude, the thumbnail for this vid is incredible! GG
*Weirdboy detected, Nixxiom is playing a female lightforged, Weirdboy detected*
Just don't be playin' that shit on AD know what I'm sayin'
And it seems really similar to Yrel!!! That horn! That hairstyle!! xD
Yeah what's with guys liking women these days? You're not cool unless you like staring at the ass of men.
Not all of us like men but you do you.
Håvard Ramberg or MG
I just started playing Vanilla on a private server and so far I've been following all these tips before having even watched the video! Undead Warlock is so fun especially since I don't have to worry about that mount price :)
What's up with Nixxiom's voice?
Caesar Clown too much de-easing on his audio. It makes him sound like he has a lisp.
you sure? ive been genuinely concerned that he had a stroke or something, hope its just de-easing
FeelsBadMan
There is a week old info on the classic servers. You are not up to date nixxiom! Look it up. It's not much but still.
You probably know that videos aren't instantly made don't you?
Mega I know they aren't made a week before uploading.
Might be much, building on the modern tech with only the content being from classic also means that cross realm tech might be in the "new classic" for example.
1) They Can be
2) Blizzard announcement was made 5 days ago, 4 days when this vidéo was posted.
So it's not that much (although he could have inserted a little notification/link to Blizzard's update)
Mega Yeah but deep down we both know that nixxiom is a bit slow. Haha
The warrior whirlwind class quest was epic, one of my favorite quests I’ve ever done in the game.
step 6. ISHNUALAH!!!!
Im muslim people like you only spread hate its a shame. Hope u have a good day mate I would like to change your mind however as mark twain said “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” Take care
ua-cam.com/video/rIAvoBLxEZM/v-deo.html
Number 6 play as a Warlock.... Warlock = easy mode Classic
Lukhaz Frostblade *Rouge.
elFacho rogue cant have a mount for Free!
Rogue for PvP, Warlock and Hunter for PvE. Until 60 anyway.
Lukhaz Frostblade Pallys and Druids can though.
Weed Striker Feral druids are pretty fun for battlegrounds, especially WSG.
Thanks Nixxiom for the video, it's been very useful and educational for people like me who haven't ever played classic
Yep... still remember most of this stuff.
Best tip to survive is to survive
So avoid Stranglethorn?
You get everyone to do stranglethorn for you
I love how you put the cinematic in reverse like we are going back to Classic WOW
It's my one month anniversary in WoW ❤❤❤ xd
NaGa like one month in play time or ive been subscribef for a month and played every day xD anyway keep having fun ^^
softwareblade 01 subbed and played every day. 😄😄
1:43 Hah no: 'As Blizzard intended.'
*As the original Dev team intended.*
I can't wait until Classic, I started playing during TBC and still loved it but I played a vanilla server and it was just something about the game that was so charming to me.
CANT WAIT FOR EROTIC ROLEPLA... I MEAN VANNILA WOW
Rickwaver Yea I definetly won't make a nightelf female and dance without gear on a mailbox in Stormwind near bank.
No Blood Elves either. Orgimmar will be less pretty, and Silvermoon....is not there. And, unless they use newer models, the Trolls and Orcs won't look as good as they do now.
OH yeah, like the server Moonguard and there erp in E-Forst INN.
The nostalgia will last for 5 min in Barrens then End game is within our grasp in a very short moment!
i along with thousands of others have never played vanilla or havent played it in years, i cant wait
Joke rhc,rbg even f.. lfr is more difficult then raids back then where what matters is only if you have gear at max and if you have all elixirs, potions, buffs, food, scroll practically if you are as prepared as you can then you go in and start watching serials/twitch/youtube during fights, not rated bgs,not arenas, etc ...WILL TROLL NEWBIES like never before come guys such trollfest it will be.
> we have been drinking the same content for 1.5 decades almost
> The nostalgia will last for 5 min
so far nostalgia lasts for 1,5 decades tho and it isn't the only thing that makes people want to play it for 1,5 decades
John Smith a lot of vanilla veterans will be pleased. while retail casuals might be salty unless theyre above 12
well on the big private servers the community were like back then, I hope the same will happen on classic
rick dawkins actually no, the big popular private servers didn't have exp boost, nostalrius elysium and kronos didnt have exp boost and those 3 were the biggest vanilla private servers. They were 100% like vanilla with less bugs
they were neither, you could donate to simply help the server but there was no in-game benefit to it
Omg, I totally forgot about the whirlwind axe quest....good stuff!
😁
BluefoxxyNautral84 >.>
I never had chance to play in Vanilla, I started at the beggining of Cataclysm so I have little to no idea how vanilla may look like but heck I'm interested to try it out. i watched quite a bit of videos and opinions and stuff and the hype is real! Can't wait to try those tips out.
3) Ancestrialtig was the hunter on Frostwhisper Horde EU who wore BoE epic equipment. The rumour was that he worked a long hour job and had a family, so he never had time to play, so he, used his worldly wealth to empower in Azerothian character. But he'd only idle in Orgrammar.
this tipe of videos is why i love u man ! keep up the good work !
OMG.....I can't wait for Classic! Soooo many things you talk about here that I miss. (The Reps matter people!!!)
You can hear how happy and passionate Nixxiom is about classic
I am ready nixxiom I have been ready for over 10 years for this
My man, I love leveling and doing professions. That is the best part for me.
One good tip I think for Classic is finish a zone then do the Dungeon at the end of the zone. even if you out level it its worth doing all the content and will be a good way to socialize and meet people
Great video mate, loved it!
