Ive had it pre ordered for months and have been having a great time with it since its suprise launch on friday. Honestly great fun with lots of customisation options :)
I've been playing it. It's been entertaining me so far and I haven't even got to the animal "dream" part of it yet. The strange tutorial/not a tutorial thing drove me bonkers too.. and I did the same thing with milking the cow before I should have! So 100 percent with you there. So far, I'm glad I bought it. Seems like there is some depth there, underneath the silly gameplay and chibi graphics. I'll probably keep playing it for a bit before Dinkum drags me back :)
I got it on ps5 and I’m not even a farm sym guy at all. Although this one is really addictive and I’m not sure why. Because I’m a children’s book illustrator I bought it for the visual atmosphere and to my surprise I’m really enjoying this game more than I thought. Im 53 years old, I’ve been illustrating this type of illustration for 30 years now and actually I didn’t even thought about this game as childish until you mentioned it. It didn’t felt like that to me. It’s simple at times , it’s not exactly no man’s sky complexity but it’s simplicity is what makes it strong in my view. As one of those zen games, I think this must be one of my favorites on PlayStation since I played Flower on ps4. Overall I’m really happy with this purchase and if I had to value it I would easily gave it an 8 out of 10 for me personally. I was not expecting more than the gameplay gives me and I like the variety, so I do not regret buying it at all. It totally draws me into its own world and as a relaxing game I love it. The small task order “glitches” or graphic “glitches” don’t bother me but I’m sure updates will fix that.
That's a wonderful way to view things, I am glad it doesn't feel childish to you. I didn't mention this but the fact that it is simple is a good thing as it can be enjoyed by lots of different audiences! I am glad you're enjoying the game!
I have been really enjoying he game. The downs of the game are not enough to put me off. There is so much to do and different mechanics from most of the farming/life sim games.
I’m so on the fence with this game I’m just trying to see why I should buy this out of the many that exist and I’m a huge farm sim person! I love your review tho!!!! Thanks for it💜💜
I used to play this last year for 50 hours. I loved the open world countryside, I love how you can tend on the animals, and I got used to the quests. However there were 3 major problems. The thumbnail of this game had the player riding a pig. That is possible however it’s uncontrollable. The horses are rideable but the framerate runs a tad worse than Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. But the worst case scenario is that then I saved the game, slept till the next day, played a minigame, and then the game wouldn’t even load.
I think it's good if someone can enjoy childish things. Being caught up on "being mature" feels ironically more immature. Kids love asserting their "maturity" onto everything.
I’m so pumped for this one!! Everyone that plays it seems to be super addicted! It looks so cute and right up my alley! Can’t wait for it to come to Switch!
I just want loads more things to decorate with. Kinda like ACNH. Being able to place things like the milk jugs and extra farm tools. Maybe bird houses without all the weeds.
Here we are a year later. NO AUTO SAVE. Not even when you sleep. Uninstalled. No excuse. I lost a full day of grinding on this game. NO consideration for the consumer and their time. What a simple feature that should be there on release. This is Morrowind wtf
Can anyone here help me with some Switch problems with this game? There are several random glitches that come and go, but one MAJOR glitch is that the Pig Dream never opened up (even tho I completed the Quests) and that means I can't open up the area of the map where the Horses are. It's also the area where my 5th and final photo for Grandma needs to be taken.
Awe the animal companions are so cute, I wish we can have all of them to help us out! 😢😣 I remember from playing Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns where you can have as many pets if you want to help you out with the animals.
I have Animal Crossing, Palia, Disney Dreamlight Valley and Wylde Flowers. I don’t like the lack of functionality on animal crossing. Haven’t played Palia or Dreamlight much yet - I find it visually hard to see in Dreamlight. Love Wylde Flowers. Tried Fae Farm and it’s fun but too expensive for what it is. Do you recommend this one or Hokko Life to me or should I pass? I wish all games had demos. 🙈
I would recommend everdream valley if you want something that has more action/mini games. Hokko life I haven’t played as many hours in but it is definitely more like wyldeflowers and acnh, more chilled gameplay.
i remember farm together i had all animals and flowers maxed out so 1 helper could harvest all.. and the game could not even handle it.. not the best looking farm, but best to earn fast. seeing these cows if i put 100 my screen is full and yeah that's me.. i keep on adding untill the game goes in slowmotion
It looks like a fun game but it reminds me of my time at portia and summer in mara. Those games were never properly finished and were buggy af. Im gonna wait a couple of years to see how this game does.
I son't really like the artstyle, like it's cute but not a big fan of it enough to play it. When I saw the trailer and how the crops just magically get picked up, it was off turning because I like manually picking them up. Maybe when it gets like a huge sale I can but not now when Story of Seasons AWL is coming
I was tempted but now I think it's a pass for me. The colours are a bit gaudy for me (possibly adding to the childish feel you mentioned) and a few people have said it feels a bit superficial. With so many farming sims to choose from, I think im going to save my monies for It's a Wonderful Life this month.
Im still unsure with this game. I played the demo, was so excited for it, but it just was so crap for the beginning "tutorial" part.. turned me off the game. Still interested in playing however still on the fence about it. It just looks like such a cute game i want it 😂 but unsure if ill be bored.
@Fleurs is it worth playing even tho the beginning is rather annoying and I found it quite annoying. Is the nighttime aspect (playing as the pets) fun? That is one of the reason I was so excited for the game
It is fun but they’re is only so many scenarios you can do. Like you don’t have the freedom to just play as a dog, it’s a set game. If you found the beginning annoying chances are you may find the rest of the game annoying 😅 Maybe try watching some more gameplay videos?
They have definitely removed the reduced speed in bushes in their latest update and looks like you can craft storage now. So they are working on things which is good to see!
My kids have a game yesterday(It's a money off 😂). We just want to try out,😂 The games in the background look lovely, I like colour on the trees and have a very bigger landscape, I have tried to help my kids to do some cooking I find it hard & to take wool from sheep 😅😂 I even lost a smoke to use for a bee after get kill by wolf? No idea how lot that item 😅 ( so we stop play and wait for in good moods to start over again 😭😂😂) can be fun game, if anyone feeling lonely is game might not good for you because only you / grandma/ granddad/ the weird guys sell item, this game have only 3 NPC ? I like farming games that have more NPC to talking to not feel lonely 😅, by the way have a farm games that can farms / fighting call DQB1 & DQB2 was funny and fun building ( Dragon quest builders 1 & 2 👍👍)
This is more action orientated and story of seasons is more chilled. I would say everdream valley did seem to have more to do and they did release an update back in October so it may have improved more!
the bit about rhe bushes...thats a troll right? do you really not understand how bushes show you down irl? genuinely concerned and confused about that one. have you never played a simulator before?
If you go on steam and look under simulation games you’ll realise how wrong you are. Not all simulation games look realistic and not all simulation games have overly complex game mechanics. But enjoy your opinion 🤷♀️
@@Fleurs_ then steam is a liar, because i played farming simulator, i also played wrestling games.. in a simulation game you can not harvest while walking over the crops XD but then i'm also 42 so i probably know a lot more about games then you do.. maybe you are only 20 and at that time i also didn't know
now this is for a racing game, but this you can find in google. Simulations are the exact opposite of arcade games. These games want to replicate the handling and feeling of an actual car as much as possible. In contrast to arcade games, physics are the key element of a racing simulation.
@@theelitegamer1980 I don’t think one of the biggest seller of games is wrong lol. I’m in my 30’s and played plenty of games 🤣 I think we can agree to disagree here, a game can have multiple genres.
Thanks so much for this review!! 🤎🤎 Despite the few negatives you mentioned, I’ve actually become even more excited for this game than I already was before watching your video 🥰 It just looks so wholesome and relaxing~ (Im)patiently awaiting the Switch release… 🌻

This game is hilarious because I'm so horrible at it. I'm on day 3 and I have caught one chicken.
Oh my goodness. The dance party at the end of your video got me! Sign me up 😂

It’s not a boring game. It’s a lot of fun, though I do wish there was some voice acting or limited at least.
I agree it’s not boring, there is plenty to do.

I kinda hate the camera movement. It feels wrong even after adjusting invert X/Y. I'm on switch. And camera feels goofy..
Ahh i didn't have chance to play on the switch, that is sad to hear!
I honestly can’t wait to play this game

Am going wait and get story of seasons 😊
Sensible!!

This was one of the games in a recent Humble Bundle so if you see an uptick in views, that's why.
Is the game “worth it” for $10? Have they fixed any of the glitches most complained about a year ago?

My time at portia was in the sale last time i looked and I would recommend that one too!

That’s fair, I don’t think the tutorial part is the best. I will say that the game progresses at a good speed and there are plenty of quests.

Is labrador an option for your dog companion? That's all that matters.
Also, how can you do an honest review without at least finishing the story?
I saw a fairly negative review on this game yesterday so i think I’ll skip this one. You made me laugh with “aggressive geese” 😂
😂😂 that wasn’t an understatement!!
I’m already terrified of birds chasing me in real life. Last thing I need is aggressive geese in a game! 🤣🤣🤣🫣
It says overwhelmingly positive
Play untitled goose game. *Be* the danger.
This looks awesome! Does anyone know when the Switch version is coming out? The info online seems vague
No specific date atm, theyve said June..

Can you decorate anything in this game or is it mostly harvest and quest based?
You can decorate your farm. It’s definitely not as extensive as other games. There is a DIY system for furniture.
Which better this or story of season wonderful life?
This is more action orientated and story of seasons is more chilled. I would say everdream valley did seem to have more to do and they did release an update back in October so it may have improved more!
