My favourite airframe with an excellent performance in a great video with great sound capturing. I'd like to rate this video 6 stars! Thanks for sharing!
german phantom engines are tuned to last as long as possible. In combat the plan is to tune the engines to not smoke, which shortens the life of the engines somewhat.
@WinchesterRanger It was the bain of US Navy pilots too even the US Marines upgraded theirs..remember reading an interview in a book about Navy Phantoms at Red Flag and a pilot saying "its bad enough putting us up against a fighter thats the size of a fly (F-5E) without us advertising with massive black trails of smoke where we are" :)
Pharewell phabolous Phantom. I saw you last time in Wittmund AB on 29th june 2013, i will miss you, the Eurofighter cannot replace you.

Still an awsome Aircraft.
very nice display.
It was a fantastic aircraft of its day but such a big turning circle you had time to shoot off to the loo before it came back past.
What do they burn? Coal?
was this in 2003? thats the last time i saw it display.. :(
Are they burning coal or what? A brick can fly!!! I love the F-4!
Im sure this was the same airframe they had to scrap because he over stressed it during a display in Germany
Smoke trails are so MiG drivers can find them.
Don't need any of this now.
Now, we have drones. (smirk)
