Does sparkling water really make a difference? I make mine the same way, but with normal water. I also flip the burek in its pan about 70% into cooking.
There's something magical about your food. I appreciate your efforts; I was wondering if you could share a video of you cooking with KHAL viewers 🥰😘🤩 ****
Haha with all due respect, the most interesting part about this video is the title: THE BEST Cheese BUREK In The WORLD???!!! If there was a competition of Bureks or Byreks as we Albanians call it hmm someone who knows Byrek well can only guess what place this one would be but sure enough not even in the first 100! To begin with those factory made filos are far below in taste from handmade filos.
Your instructions say "use puff pastry" but you are using filo dough. These two doughs are quite different. I've seen authentic Burek made and it is very time consuming and produces something incredibly delicious and wonderful. While your recipe may taste good, it is not really Burek.
There are many different styles of burek as it is made in most of the baltic nations. There are different fillings, like this feta base and other combinations of cheese, spinach and minced meat are the most common, but it's also made with apples, cherries, potatoes and other fillings. There of course are also different pastry varieties, both home made and commercially produced. The world isn't restricted to only the things you know, of course. Since even the Turkish, Serbian, Croation, Bosnian, Greek, Russian nannas use filo like this, this is a very valid burek recipe 🙂
it looks delicious 😋
This is so satisfying to watch 😍
Omggg I need this right now. Perfect crispy Burek 🤤🤤
I made this and it was delicious, it was better than my mom's recipe! Followed the video and then wrote the recipe down. I plan on making it often!!

You say to use “Puff Pastry” but the packet you used says “Filo Pastry”
It's filo for sure
Im sorry. You are absolutely right, it’s filo pastry.

It ISN'T puff pastry. It's phyllo dough. A big difference! Don't use puff pastry.

Again, when it comes to filo dough and puff pastry, it's apples and oranges. Correct your recipe.
Pitsey - this is not “Baltic”, this is Balkan, only 1,700 miles, 2,700km away.
