I love Leo 😂 dude literally gives the longest most detailed and complicated descriptions then says “I’m a simple man” 😂
hahaha
Yeah bro if they memed that hard with Leo as some introspective anime hero lol
He seems like a cool dude and I like him, but I wish he'd chill with drawing it out. People like you my dude, you're likeable, you don't need to try to prove anything.
@@beezelbuzzel honestly as long as your being true to yourself and at least trying to make progress in life and everything I think he could play into that even more and be extremely entertaining, as long as at the end it's easy for us to take something away I think it's worth the effort. But everyone is based 😆 if he did or didn't play into that it wouldn't affect if he's improving or not. Whatever you like to do is fine, as long as your like working towards what's important. Nothing can affect that. That's beyond UA-cam and entertainment and that's the real goal. If your on that track it's the right track and none of this will matter or affect that. I may be slightly unclear but at least you read this far lol and that's enough long windedness for me. Peace.
@@baplotnik That was like a Leo food description 😆
Guga coming in with the 2:15am videos to make us all hungry during our insomnia 😫
literally
Good night then. 🙏🙏🙏
I am in 1:32 pm zone time and perfect for have lunch
Right!?
I'm not mad lol
You won the comment thread buddy. Congratulations!!!
Never take Leo for granted. He adds a lot to the show.
Talks too much
@KIM JONG UN It's really awesome deaf people. Makes you feel like you're part of the experience.
I miss Mau-Mau :(
Leo is cringey. He says too much without saying anything at all. Maumau needs to be more present
The difference between this video and other "simple, cheap" cooking tutorials, is you actually make things that don't take 1,000 ingredients, and I love that. I can afford to go to the grocery store on payday and replicate these, and I am absolutely going to. -Nic
That's the thing that grinds my gears about videos by people like Joshua Weissman and the like. Like sure, it's only 2$ per serving and not 12$, granted you have an oven, 3 pots, place in the fridge and most importantly 3-6 hours to spare and money to buy all the ingredients in bulk...
Yeah it's cheaper to make your own burgers than to go to Wendy's, provided you have a meat grinder, couple pounds of beef, stand mixer to make the buns and some 3 hours of your ever shorter lifespan to spare, but most people looking for these sorts of videos don't, so they go Wendy's or buy some cheap half products at Walmart and call it a day. I know I did when I was in college. Making Ramen from scratch is a lot less appealing when you're making it in a cramped dorm room and all you have to work with is two pots, a pan and a bent fork. Suddenly bougieing up instant ramen or buying stock powder make a lot more sense...
Been watching your videos since the start. Don't think I've really ever commented but I just wanted the team to know I love this channel and it's always made me feel good even on the bad days. I love watching the crazy creations and experiments you guys make, and the humour always brings a smile to my face.
I'm usually eating while watching too and it makes me feel like I'm part of the family. Thank you Guga, Angel, Maumau, Leo and the rest of the team for your videos 😁

I need more of these cheap recipe videos. Like seriously.
Mooooore
have fun making any of them under 30 dollars
The math doesn't add up.
Cheap ingredients, but the smoking part sort of defeats the purpose, unless you have a cheap and decent way to smoke the meats. Pretty sure the meat non-smoked would be a fair bit less tasty.
@@ItachiUchiha-tj2km yeah, man. I'm little tired of all these recipes with this 1$ per serving, what serving, ant-sized or what? XD
The first one is very popular in Argentina rn ;) you can accompany them with portobelos filled with blue cheese as a side dish, they're amazing ... also chimichurri never fails
Ingredients literally like $50 lmaooo
As an argentinian, watching those reactions about the Choripan, is just amazing. Not for nothing is one the best sandwiches of the world and I think everybody should try it at least one time. Now I want a Choripan too Guga!! 😂😂
*This has to be my top 5 fav channels, need to take this legend to catch some fish n south Florida exotics n see how amazing they taste haha*
"This sandwich will cost you $1.50..."
"The first thing we do is make a red chimichuri sauce..." - proceeds to combine about 20 bucks worth of ingredients.
Well yeah but the sauce is going go last you a while. You can use up all of it and it will come down to 1.5 per sandwich
*per serving
those ingredients can be used over and over for so many sandwiches served
i don't think they sell spices and wine one serving at a time
That's 20 bucks for you in the u.s? Jesus. It would cost us like 1.20 Euro here and that would serve us for like 10 sandwiches
your problem was the ingredients? for me the biggest problem by far was to smoke the meat.
I'd love to see more budget recipes from you Guga! these look amazing, I'm definitely gonna try that first sandwich sometime!
After I have seen your first sandwich, I immediately thought it was going to be the best one. I would absolutely love to recreate it.
Dude with all those spices it's going to be way more than a 1.50. Also think the first sandy might be better with the egg below the patty so the bread canoe can become a cheesy yolk basin.
I think eating experience would be better with the egg below but egg on top is definitely better presentation
That's probably the unit cost if you're making them in bulk
@@EpicMinerNK yeah the smoker and the grill make it more than a 1.50. but your right.
It's also not a 1.50 unit wise. His ingredients are expensive. He get deals.
It's not like you're gonna be able to go to the store spend $1 and be able to make literally anything. Buy all that stuff For probably around 20 bucks and youll be able to get by all week on sandwiches that cost you 2 dollars worth of that food.
Lol first thing I said 1.50 my foot 😂
Oh Guga... your Food always make me Happy. Gonna Try all of this ASAP. Thankyouu
Awesome! Loved all 3 of these ideas. Thank you!
I love how Guga's "enough talking, let's eat" catchphrase has evolved from "I'm so hungry I can't wait" to "Shut up and eat."😆
Well said also like how Angel stole his line guess he was hungry too
Guga finally went broke eating all the Wagyu and needed to save money. Still, all of these sound great and/or all great! I've done a bologna before like that, and a sausage (lamb sausage instead of pork, and duck egg instead of chicken) sandwich as well!
“This sandwich costs $1.50”
*proceeds to throw in $20 worth of ingredients just to make the sauce*
😂
Dont forget the smoking equipment that probably cost thousands of dollars XD
Right on schedule guga!! You never let us down! Amazing as usual!!
So Glad to see Angel back, his opinions represents a huge volume of young people, that definitely add aome freshness to your videos guga.
Excellent Master!
How Guga makes food look so delicious and mouth watering is arguably more than the cheap tricks food commercials do.
Just got here, excited to see how this goes. Your sandwich videos are always fun.
Thank you for these cheap recipes! These all look so good
Thanks Guga. Now I'm starving
Sandwiches for less than $2 dollars but the equipment is worth thousands lol. These are awesome recipes and will be great items to make, thanks for the great content as always!
Out of touch video, "cheap" sandwiches but were using outdoor grills lmao
@@ekay4495 admittedly so. But any competent home cook could adapt and adjust to what they have. No charcoal grill? Use some smoked paprika and sear the baloney. It won't be the same, but it'll still taste good.
Arguably the best video you have made yet! Looks awesome and you kept it in the relm of what most anyone can afford. Make more like this please.
what a great video ! this is the stuff everybody likes watching
these guys do such a great job
my go to sandwich recently has been smoked tomatoes on sourdough. salt and a little bit of sugar to draw out some of the tomato juice, italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes. 250 F for 90 minutes. a good quality mayo and two slices is all it needs.
What about the meat?
That sounds good
Dang that does sound tasty!
I grew up with fried bologna sandwiches, I never thought to fancy it up. I’m gunna try it.
Watched this the other day and knew this was one I could do, so I made the Chuck Roast sammich today and loved it! Thanks Guga.

I love sandwiches. You hit the right spot 😂 I’m for sure making this 🤤
Where did you shop for the first two sandwiches because I would love to know where I can get all those ingredients for $2.55
sick torture, right there...but the philly cheese steak needs some grilled red onion, cilantro or Thai basil, as well as the chimi...looks beautiful
and if you mix that with a free range soft yolked fried egg or two? and a couple slices of beef bacon? it's not a philly cheese steak any more but it's a mouthgasm!
They all look so amazing... I must try those someday!
I love the crazy expensive cuts of meat, but I found this channel at the beginning of the pandemic and used it to make myself a better at-home chef. More tips/attainable dishes are always appreciated guga! ❤️
I recommend watching food wishes too then, chef john has some very affordable recipes :)
The spices and oils and hotdog rolls would definitely make this more expensive than a dollar in upfront cost unfortunately. Still might make these for Christmas lunch tho, thanks Guga
If you devise the ingredients up then it probably works out that much per portion
@@Lukeywoodsey not when you factor in his cooking methods and charcoal/wood chips for them. It's just not even close.
@@kajerlou that’s a ridiculous thing to quibble about tho. That’s like saying any meal should factor in the cost of the oven or the microwave or the pots and pans it’s cooked in.
Came here to say the same…. Between the cheese, egg and all the stuff that goes into the sauce there is no way
@@redeye1016 The cooking method was a key part of the final result, and he's talking about the fuel alone not the equipment (although even that would put this out of reach for most). That's hardly a 'quibble'. To me it's not a big deal but it's certainly not the case that these are $1 or even $1.50 sandwiches
"This sandwich is cost you $1.50 and to make it it's super easy. Start with some red caviar chimichurri..."
FR. Suppised he wasn't adding cupboard staples like fresh saffron, champagne , gold leaf, caviar and squid ink.

Geez those looked so good! Can’t wait to make some at home!
These sandwiches just prove that its not the expensive and fancy ingredients that make a good meal. Its the effort you put into it.

$1.50 per serving, not in bulk. Twit.
guga be like: im gonna make very cheap sandwiches that anyone can make at a low price, first, smoke some bologna in your $300 smoker
I’ve been watching your videos since the beginning of this video. Huge fan!
A afternoon upload in my timezone saving this later to watch on dinner time
Chopped parsley
Oregono
Bell peppers
Garlic
Challots
Smoked paprika
Lemon juice
Red-wine vinegar
Avocado oil
Olive oil
Fresh-grated mozerella cheese
Sausage (even the cheapest, but apparently Argentinian)
Panini bread
Eggs
Total cost: $30 per sandwich
And you didn't count the grill or smoker, kindoff a clickbait video right?
50 IQ calculation. GJ sir.
This is awesome like always Gugas cooking is absolutely fantastic but I miss the older videos when it was just Mamau and Angel. It seems that Leo has over thrown Mamau forever and slowly kicking Angel off and Guga is not noticing.
Love the edits, makes the video 100x better
all of them are so good looking and mouth watering
I gotta ask though. What makes this $1.50? is it the amount of portions you can get out of each ingredient/spice and carefully calculated? or is this just kind of a guess? haha. Start out obviously all these ingredients would cost you over 10 dollars atleast.
it's based on how much he spent divided by amount used per serving
I assume that if you spent however much money on the ingredients, you would be able to make 1 sandwich for every $1.50 you spend. So if it costed $15 for the ingredients, you would be able to make 10 sandwiches.
I also start to calculate, can I have such in just $1.5 😅
He said it was per serving. I'm not sure if it was guess work or actual calculations, but either way it will vary in price based off where you live.
Yeah my thoughts exactly. Just because you HAPPEN to have 90% of these ingredients "readily at home", you still paid for them and those need to be counted as well.
Leo just has an eternal hankering to be in front of a camera or an audience flapping his jaw about something
Provoking dude..
Guga. I just started watching your channels a few months ago, love all of them! Have ever dry aged all beef bologna???????
Love the videos. I'm about to cook some a5 wagyu next weekend.
No way any of those sandwiches cost 1$ to make.
Not everyone has the ingredients already.
The issue is the fact the sauce is made out of so many spices it's not actually as affordable as it shows. If one has those spices, why would he waste them in a cheap thing?
OMG they look incredible!
guga you make my mouth water and my heart warm :)
Guga: "I made CHEAP SANDWICHES!"
Also Guga: "My sandwiches use $700 equipment to produce"
When you factor in the cost of owning a frigging smoker it's no longer a $1 sandwich. And yes you can smoke at home, but those setups are difficult to work with and don't produce the same results.
not to mention the cost of buying spices and oils for the chimi. none of these are very practical as a cheap meal
You can smoke meat even better in a simple Weber kettle for cheaper if you just try a little harder
if you factor in having a fridge then cold water is suddenly expensive
Bleh stinky
@@ghostlyashley6195 or the rent for the apartment to put it all in
Leo has bene an amazing addition to the show, he's very descriptive and engaging! I could taste these sandwiches with his descriptions.
Lol.
For the past 2 years every time guga makes a video I make a grilled cheese and sit down and watch the video. It makes my grilled cheese taste better
It looks so good holy cow
Inexpensive? Those ingredients would come out to about $200 CAD.
When your at like $20 just to get the stuff to make the sauce for the first sandwich lol
Fr tho $1.50 sandwich is like banana and bread, add peanut butter if u had it already.
Or cheese and bread...
Or leftovers and bread
Cheese egg bread
Etc
Oh man! I love smoked bologna. Glad you got to try it. Made all sorts of sammies with it. But, yours looked fantastic.
Guga! Way to go. We love videos that most anyone can afford to recreate.
I think Guga misunderstood the meaning of a $1 sandwich. He starts by pushing the price to $1.50. Then he chooses what ingredients to omit, like no….
The parsley in your chimichurri sauce alone will cost me $2.
Where do you buy your parsley?
@@mohamedbelkacem9889 Any supermarket or produce market I’ve ever been to. $1.79 - $2 minimum.
@@vadesnow3675 where do you live?
I ask because I live in a third world country and parsley is less than 0.5 dollars.
But even then I expect different regions in your country to have different prices.

After buying all the ingredients and charcoal grill for the first sandwich, I spent $186 🤣 the most expensive sandwich I've ever made.
litterally bro😂😂😂
After the buying the oven I'm 300 dollars out. Do you guys not realize how dumb you sound? Yea a recipe cost doesnt include the cost of what you cook it with, whether its plates, silverware, cooking devices. Do you count the cost of a stove for scrambled eggs? Do you count the cost a toaster for toast?
The only way that sandwich was $1.50 was if you went thru self checkout 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤣
I always feel like I am being watched in the self checkout. Plus I hate the self checkout so I am annoyed to be using it.
Love your sandwiches, not sure on which one I would put first either!
Good time to be browsing huh! Looks delicious ❤
It’s greatly overlooked that anyone can make something amazing even with cheap ingredients. Not everything good has to be expensive.
1.50$ Sandwich. All you need is a grill for 500$ and a smoker for 300$ xD Show me a recipe I can do with a pocket of matches then we will talk lol
L take
First off you can get a grill from Walmart for 75 dollars, and you can smoke on any kettle style grill
Secondly that first sandwich can be made with any pan or oven.
Third if you are homeless and only have a book of matches then you don't need to be watching cooking channels.
@@alohatigers1199 stfu scrub , your take is the L take
Bro you don't count the cost of an oven and a refrigerator into every sandwich you make.
You can make all these sandwiches in the oven or cast iron skillet
Yo, Guga, I just found your channel and your videos are awesome. I had an idea for a dry aging experiment if you don't mind. I recall you stating that dry aging stake adds a nutty flavor. Have you ever tried dry aging with peanut butter? I'm not sure if this was a video already but if it wasn't I'd love to see it.

Guga, I love your videos but can you really call these "Less Than $1 Sandwiches" that "anyone can make" when you use a smoker to do most of the cooking? Aside from the fact that I live in an apartment and can't practically have a smoker, the cheapest one is about $90. Not really a budget sandwich when you need a $90+ piece of equipment most people don't own. Sorry.
