I’m curious, so why would people prefer this over something like MCC? I never played halo 2 back then as a was like 5 but I played a lot of the old halos and now use MCC for all of it

I think a large part is nostalgia. The feel. The sounds. The graphics.. a lot of people want to re live that first feeling of online gaming on console back in the day.
Today it’s normal.
Back then. It was new.

i feel you had to be there, it was a great time to be a halo player, a gamer in general, no contenent blocked behind season pass, no overchaged DLC, no FOMO, great menus, great music, great matchmaking, the feel, the comunity, this kind of thing takes you back, also the playlist were better, in MCC there is very limited game modes for every game (1,2,3,4,AND REACH) cause they had to fit multiple game modes from the diferent titles, but they left some out.
