Medit user here. It’s a game changer. No more PVS for crowns and also very impressed it’s accuracy for fitting. I also use it for clear aligner. Dentists must have one. I don’t think I need a milling machine unless I do a lot of crowns which I don’t.
About how much does it cost to get into this -- I'm quite cheap and don't want to spend buttloads of money on a system. That said, I know this type of technology will help quite a few patients, especially those with gag reflexes.
I purchased a Medit i600 with a laptop for about £13k altogether. Easy to use, reliable, patients love it, my technician was very impressed with the image quality of it. Definitely was a good chice
So I trained my staff to scan the prep tooth. I prep and packed cord then staff comes in and start scanning. I have medit i600 and pretty good. I paid $10000
@@Briguy1027 It is very affordable. I think you can get the i600 for less than $10k which SEEMS expensive (not compared to the others) but if you break down how much you spend on impression material a month, it really is cheaper than what you are currently spending over a couple of years.
3Shape does not have an annual subscription anymore. They have an optional service contract called Trios Care, this service contract is included free of charge in the first year and can be switched to Trios Only (free of charge, only software updates) after the first year.
yeah but what do those software updates cost? I LOVE 3shape but their software subscription costs are out of control! Especially when Medit offers REALLY good software for scanning and design for free. And 10tb of storage are only $.99 a month.

Medit i700 user for 2 years - it has a lot of issues with the usb connections getting loose over time. We have to replace the cable every other month at a cost of $125 per cable....definitely has an engineering flaw - I would not purchase it again.
